Sadly this is my favorite makeup remover by far. Sadly because it is so expensive and I never want to be without it! It’s the only remover my kids will tolerate to get sunscreen or face paint off their faces. If I use any other type they hate it.

Thank you Kara! Yes, most of the reviews I make sure to have used the product for an extended period before I give my final thoughts. Usually it’s in production for around a month before I post it so I can make sure that my final thoughts are representative of extended use (I’m super ahead of filming right now so I’m trying things out which likely won’t be posted until April). I only tend to show the first impressions to keep the video length down but the final thoughts at the end usually do incorporate those thoughts. This one I don’t think I would use every day for a month because it’s not quite the right fit for my skin type but I’ve used the original formula for years so can definitely vouch for that one! 🖤
Hello! I just discovered your channel because of this video (loved it and already subscribed!). I just tried the charcoal version of the cleansing balm and I completely agree with you. Because I have combination skin, the original formula suits me better. I will save the charcoal one for warmer days and for when my skin looks more oily.

Thank you for your review and demonstration Amy. I absolutely love how clear and concise you are during your review. You left no details. My question is does this stain your skin and wash clothes? I absolutely despise a products that just stains everything. I’ve tried the Peter Thomas Roth charcoal mask it was black mess. Sink was black and wash clothes was stained. Since then I’ve shy myself away from charcoal products. I pretty much have dry skin so I’m not too sure if I will try this product. I use the original take the balm off and it leaves my face squeaky clean. I feel like the charcoal one will make it feel stripped. I’ve tried the take the day off liquid cleaners and I felt like it was too liquid of a texture. I had to take that one best asap. Plus the bottle was leaky as well. Therefore the balm is best in my choice. If you continue to use it and have any changes please update us, thanks ☺️
Does not stain at all. Probably why she didn’t mention it staining , it’s such a non issue with the product. Super easy to rinse off, washes right out of white clothes too no problem

Hi there! 👋 I am so glad you reviewed this product. I am a super fan of the original take the day off and so I bought this on a whim when it first came out. I have oily skin and thought it would be a good fit. It's just ok to me. It didn't wow me like I thought. I agree it seems much harsher. Since I bought it and it's not terrible, I use it every 3rd day on my skin just so I can make my cleansing balm last longer.

@Amy Astrid Beauty I just found your channel a few months ago and we seem to have the same views on all of clinique products (except 1, I do not like the moisture surge 100h. It leaves my skin so sticky! )
