Another potential benefit of the visit - she will force Salah to kiss her on camera. In Canada, is it not necessary to prove with documents that the couple is officially married if one of the spouses needs a residence permit? Even in the hyperliberal EU, words and travel videos are not enough to prove an officially registered marriage. A marriage certificate, a certified extract from civil status registers, a certificate from official authorities or the like are required.
You’d think as the Thais come to life at night and that is Chantals waking hours, they would favour night to be out and about. Also would be cooler. But then there would be alot of people, huh, salah?

You would think she would have opted to go somewhere that isn't super humid.. but it wouldn't be Chantal if she wasn't so impulsive. If this trip is truly for a Visa renewal, aren't there other countries with lower heat/humidity she could have gone to instead?
She cannot travel to all countries with Salah, his Syrian passport severely restricts this. And this time it was probably very important for her to travel with Salah("and where is your trip together with your husband?", but I assume also to have someone to help her and be by her side in case something happens).
I think that Thailand is one of the cheapest and closest places they can go together to renew her visa?
Salah has a Syrian passport, he's not even from Kuwait so he can't sponsor her there.
Syrian passport holders can't go to many countries to visit and if Chantal gets him in trouble then they may deport him to Syria.
Even though he was born in Kuwait and that'll be horrible for him.
She'll just go back to good ole Canada but her hubby will suffer alone in Syria unless she goes with him but I wouldn't advice that at all.

I've got something to say about her flight situation. I don't think she bought two seats on that second flight. Didn't we find out months ago that airlines will shuffle passengers around to accommodate large passengers, or should i say to accommodate the poor people that are supposed to sit next to them? So i'm thinking the flight attendants see her board the plane and move whoever is supposed to be sitting next to her. She is just delusional enough to think it's a coincidence that no one is ever seated next to her on those otherwise full planes. Her and salad were crammed in with another person on that first plane because it was such a short flight. Allegedly consipracy whateva...just my opinion, but it makes sense to me.

The answer to one of your questions is seatbelt extender lol. The general rule is if it clicks and she fits between the seat then she doesn’t need two.
Fun fact in air crashes/ major air turbulence people have become airborne; flew around and severely injured/killed themselves and others.
You should always keep your seatbelt fastened.
