I know I'm commentimg late, but what you said about combining genres is exactly why I fell in love with SiM (pronounced 'sheem' in japamese). They call themselves punk reggae, but as an american, I consider them a fusion of punk, metal, and 3rd gen ska. Absolutely amazing.
