Whenever I look up how to grow peppers, I am overloaded by all this bullshit I need to do such as steps, things I need to buy, when to plant, correct temperature, the correct direction the seed is supposed to be facing when sowing, how to properly water the plant, how many times you can pet the plant, etc, and it would make me frustrated with all that information. Then I found your channel and you simply tell me how to do it. I really can't thank you enough, you earn my sub and like.
I soaked 5 seeds in cold tea before I planted them. I put them in a little zip lock bag , which I put in my mouth so I could reach for my tools. Those seeds enthused the tea with capsaicin and I could really feel the heat. I can't wait for them to grow. They're sprouting.

I'm sure your peppers are doing great, but I'd like to see how yours are looking. I'm here in kansas and did my best to protect mine from the cold snap we had here. A lot of my leaves died off but everything is coming back strong at this point in time. I'm hoping it doesnt set me back much.

I like the 18 spaced plastic pots much better. Garden centers take note and please carry that size. I also like the narrow trays that fit a window sill.
Here is an idea when that tray is done and harvested have them make a sauce as a competition and whoever wins bottles their sauce sells it from your shop as 1 time run batch for 2021 and for charity as on man who wants to start a sauce and pepper company your an inspiration ed and everyone else at puckerbutt hang in there guys we will make it through much love
I'm really anxious for more information and I want more! I picked up gardening as a hobby because of the pandemic and I killed all of my seedlings with Kellogg soil that compacted and rotted the roots of my plants. I followed this guide for starting seeds, and I had the best germination on my 3rd generation of seeds. Sadly my Carolina Reaper plant died along with about 7 others, but thankfully we have a long growing season in Arizona so I still have time for a pepper harvest! Please release more, this information is gold to new gardeners like myself!

Love the tree!!! We do the same with our apple tree in the from yard! It changes with the seasons! It grows apples, gets pumpkins for Halloween... becomes a Christmas tree, Valentine’s tree etc... you guys are awesome!

My son bought me some reaper seeds from you guys and I got 2 plants that made it and the big one has about 50 peppers on it about the size of a marble. I've never seen a pepper that created a canopy like the reaper.

So far I've killed every single thing I've tried growing, since I have a touch of death or something xD I am hoping to be able to grow something after watching this. I usually start my seeds in empty foam egg cartons. Cut off the top for a tray, stab an "X" in the bottom of each cell for drainage, then fill with potting soil. Transplant the plant when it is a couple inches tall. Good way to get some use out of old plastic, and basically free. Fits on a windowsill perfectly.
So planted our seeds a little early and in London, UK (cold!). Wish had seen this video first as have used compost. But we have 4 germinated so far. Great video. You all seem so nice and down to earth.
This is marvelous. I'm doing my first year of trying to sprout my own crop from seeds this year. I did an experiment last year to see if I could get sprouts from harvested seeds and got an over 90% germination rate, so I've got ten varieties, 12 each in the tenter-dome thing, all in the window until we get to the point where I can put them outside and let the sun do its thing. The "paper towels" reference killed me. I know from whence that comes, and appreciate what that means. Thank you.

Been a few weeks now. Reapers definitely took a few days longer to germinate than the Ghost peppers but overall 95% germination rate, looking forward to a spicy year. Thanks for the channel.

If you use a lid, make sure you open it and air it out WELL every day. I've used those probably 10 different times and every single time after the first week it gets fungus/mold in it.

I thought the reaper seeds were more finicky and needed to be put in black tea for 30 minutes and what not for them to germinate faster? I'm just wondering because the way Ed did it, is the way I grow everything else.
All that stuff isn't necessary. They'll pop. Saying that though, a lot of videos on YT are from other countries. Here in UK, doing all you can to help germination and keep seedlings alive is helpful. I'd just say don't go OTT and spend time or money you don't have. Let nature run its course...
i have 168 peppers growing under shop lights right now. 4 inches tall. fish fert and jiffy trays. transfer to cups. no need for the $300 soil and organic high dollar crap.
My baby Reapers are about 1" tall, loving life in the greenhouse(for now). Germinated super fast this year! Thanks Ed and team for rockin' it out!

Do peppers need a light cycle? My ghost pepper plant is like 2 ft tall is around 7 months old has no fruit on it and has flowered multiple times.
Thanks Halo, put it on 12 on and 12 off. Feed it some calcium magnesium that should help the blooms stay on the plant. Feed it a good bloom food too

He’s right.. all these humidity domes and garbage. Plant them, use good soil, keep them watered, check humidity and give them light

Hydroponics is fun, but the cost and time it takes to do it isn't worth it for the average consumer

I printed the same instructions from Puckerbutt seed shop and was just wondering the same. I would like to confirm since I just purchased seeds from them. Also, I did that "paper towel" process and it was a total failure.

Is there a reason you don't pre-germinate your seeds prior to planting? coming from a cannabis background, peppers are all new to me.

I thought the reaper seeds were more finicky and needed to be put in black tea for 30 minutes and what not for them to germinate faster? I'm just wondering because the way Ed did it, is the way I grow everything else.
All that stuff isn't necessary. They'll pop. Saying that though, a lot of videos on YT are from other countries. Here in UK, doing all you can to help germination and keep seedlings alive is helpful.
I'd just say don't go OTT and spend time or money you don't have. Let nature run its course...
