    Do you have any feel for when the FusionSIM support will come to the BR1 5G Pro? Does the service *require* dual modems, technically, or is that more about fast switching between carriers/SIMs on the fly?

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  5 місяців тому

      Right now, we're not sure. FusionSIM does not require dual modem however most models that support it are dual or quad modem. The exception would be the Dome 5G which is single modem 5G and supports it as well as the Balance 20x which is single modem but can expand to dual modem. If you have any other questions, reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we'll be happy to help! Thank you!

    Does it only work as a data plan or can it be used on a smartphone with a phone line?

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  5 місяців тому

      So, our M-Series plans only work as a data plan in a Peplink router. They would not work with a smartphone. If you have any other questions, reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we'll be happy to help! Thank you!

    How does the system choose which carrier it should use and can we see who the current selected carrier is?
    I think you said that it would choose the best carrier for the given situation but is there an option to manually switch carrier?

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  5 місяців тому +1

      Great question! So, our M-Series plans automatically determine which provider has the best signal and will show you on your dashboard which provider it is connected to.
      We aren't currently offering the ability to manually choose your carrier, but it's something that we hope we can offer in the future. If you have any further questions about our M-Series plans, reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we'll be happy to help!

    Does the M-Series Data Plan with FusionSIM also work with SpeedFusion for Hot Failover, WAN Smoothing, or Bandwidth Bonding of those multi-carrier eSIM connections or would it act as a single connection?

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  5 місяців тому

      Good question! It only works as a single connection, so it can't utilize the benefits of SpeedFusion by itself, but it can be bonded with other active connections, like from another data plan or Starlink and can use SpeedFusion like normal! If you have any other questions, reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we'll be happy to help! Thank you!

      one more note, we expect to introduce multiple links in FusionSIM soon, meaning you could have more than one fusionSIM connection in a dual modem or 4x modem device pulling multiple fusionsim links to get more than one modem online. This will be available soon and if interested in the meantime we can manually modify your subscription. Each link will come at an added price which will depend on the plan you have. More information can be found by emailing us at info@mobilemusthave.com

    Are you connected to all 3 providers at the same time or do you need to pick one carrier at a time?

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  5 місяців тому

      So, you're only connected to one provider at a time, but the M-Series plans will automatically determine which provider is the best for your location. This helps take away the grunt work in figuring out which provider has the best coverage for your area. If you have any other questions about our M-Series plans or any of our other products, send us an email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we'll be happy to help!

    Does the Peplink B One 5g work with Dual Fusion? Don't see that on the list, even though it has dual wans

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  19 днів тому

      So, the B One 5G does have 2 WAN ports, but it lacks the FusionSIM hardware feature, so it is not compatible with our M-Series Plans, unfortunately. It is compatible with our physical SIM, single-carrier, data plans though! If you have any other questions, reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we'll be happy to help!

    Can you confirm if Peplink MAX BR1 Mini is or is not supported? It’s dual sim. Thanks

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  5 місяців тому +1

      So, while the BR1 Mini can have 2 sim cards installed at the same time, it is only 1 modem, so it is not compatible with our M-Series Plans. If you were interested in upgrading to a dual modem router, check out our MAX Transit Duo Pro here:mobilemusthave.com/products/pepwave-max-transit-pro-dual-modem-cat-12-cat-7-lte-a-router?_pos=1&_psq=max+transit+duo&_ss=e&_v=1.0

The HD Dome 5G which is single 5G would also be compatible here: mobilemusthave.com/products/pepwave-max-hd1-dome-pro-5g-cat-20-mobile-router-with-integrated-4x4-mimo-antenna?_pos=1&_psq=dome&_ss=e&_v=1.0

      Hi Joe! Yeah, unfortunately, right now they're only compatible with our newer dual modem routers, but we're expecting a future firmware update from Peplink that will hopefully allow the single modem, 5G routers to be available with our M-Series plans as well. Once we receive info from Peplink that it's coming, we'll relay that via email for all of our subscribers!

      Hi, apologies for my team misunderstanding the product on the last reply. The ability to use FusionSIM is hardware dependent and will not change in future firmware updates. The BR1 Pro is unfortunately not supported however in future versions they may change this. There is currently no real alternative in that price point that would give you 5G and FusionSIM unfortunately so i think the solution you selected is still the best option if you wish to have 5G and not spring for the BR2 which is quite a bit more but also dual 5G.

    5:44 - You said the M-Series FusionSIM plans include an e sim plan so you don't need an existing internet connection for your M-Series plan to work. But, if you try to purchase an M-Series plan, you have to acknowledge a check box that clearly says: "I UNDERSTAND M-SERIES DATA PLANS REQUIRE AN EXISTING INTERNET CONNECTION TO ESTABLISH SIM LINK".
    Kinda confused by this.

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  5 місяців тому

      INCORRECT REPLY - SEE BELOW FOR CORRECTED REPLY: Sorry for the confusion on this. The M-Series does require an active internet connection to be able to apply the M-Series plan the first time. This can be done either through an existing cellular plan or by connecting your router to your phone's hotspot, for example.

      Apologies for my team error here. This is Erik and i'm spot checking replies here and seeing errors from my team. Yes the plans include an esim connection which is in beta but is included. We include 500mb of data good for 1 year which can be topped off if you run out. Our support team will configure your device as part of purchase and show you how to also use the esim plan for obtaining a sim from FusionSIM. You must have a dual modem device. In the most common configuration it would work as follows: Modem 1 will use esim and once connected modem 2 will be able to then grab the sim from the FusionSIM farm. Modem 1 (in this example) would then be left in priority 2 so that it would not be used for internet use reserving your allotment for getting connected to the farm. The reason there is a checkbox in the listing that you must have an existing internet connection is because the esim feature is in beta however you are welcome to use the esim to bootstrap in the way you are outlining.

    I’ve noticed that if my modem loses power (i.e. when my battery disconnect in my RV is engaged) and restarts, I have to connect it to an external WiFi source (my phone hotspot) and then “wake up” the cellular connection the FusionSIM is tied to. Seems inefficient. Should this be happening? Thanks.

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  4 місяці тому

      Thanks for reaching out! Yes, this is how the M-Series plans functions because it has to have a separate internet source to be able to initiate the connection. However, we do have a beta program we're running right now that can supply you with a low amount of eSIM data that can help initiate the M-Series plan instead, if your phone hotspot wasn't an option. I will note that this requires an active PrimeCare subscription on your Peplink device. If you're interested in learning more about that, reach out to us via email at support@mobilemusthave.com and our team can help you out! Thank you!

    • @displacedtexan
      @displacedtexan 4 місяці тому +1

      This wasn’t totally clear since the video says it’s “launching with” and “includes” an eSIM as part of the monthly fee. It does not state that PrimeCare is required. While I love this idea, there needs to be some updating around costs and requirements, especially around the initial setup.

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  4 місяці тому

      We are always looking to improve our listings but I did have a few questions before suggesting any changes to our team. In order to purchase the plan you were required to check the box that says "I UNDERSTAND M-SERIES DATA PLANS REQUIRE AN EXISTING INTERNET CONNECTION TO ESTABLISH SIM LINK" and you also were required to check the box that says "I UNDERSTAND THAT IN ORDER TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF COMPLIMENTARY ROUTER SUPPORT AND USE THE PEPLINK ESIM FEATURES, MY ROUTER MUST BE UNDER WARRANTY AND ADDED TO MOBILEMUSTHAVE’S INCONTROL2 SUPPORT PORTAL." - This seems to clearly explain and also require a checkbox acknowledment to ensure you see exactly what was unclear here to prevent issues. How could we re-word this to make it more clear at the time of purchase? Apologies for the caps lock above, thats how the listing shows to ensure customers see it so when copy/pasting it shows in all caps. Thanks for the question and we are always looking to be better.

    • @displacedtexan
      @displacedtexan 4 місяці тому +1

      @@MobileMustHave no issue. I just think there could be better clarity around needing the INITIAL external connection for the SIM activation (which I was aware of) vs always needing that external connection when the modem restarts or is powered back up. Great product overall though!

    What about sim swapping scam ? It's a problem today. Someone stealing your information?

    • @AccidentalCISO
      @AccidentalCISO 5 місяців тому

      SIM Swapping attacks shouldn’t be relevant to end customers if I am understanding the solution correctly. SIM Swapping attacks are about taking over a cellular line used for SMS or voice based multi-factor authentication. This solution is for mobile data connectivity. The SIM farm model described in the video likely means that customers won’t always receive the same SIM when they power on their device, which would result in dynamic phone number assignments. If I’m right, the service would be completely useless to customers to use for voice or SMS based multi-factor authentication, so SIM swapping risks are irrelevant.

    • @MobileMustHave
      @MobileMustHave  5 місяців тому

      This is a great way to explain it. Since these are data-only SIM cards, a SIM swapping scam would not be possible. If you have any other questions, reach out to us via email at info@mobilemusthave.com and we'll be happy to help! Thank you!

    But isn't a tablet a data device? And the smart phones are using VoLTE so they are really dated devices with phones. Harkens back to the age-old why does it cost more for mobile hotspot data versus the already active cellular data. We somehow have this understanding that date is different if you're using it on a computer versus a phone. It confuses the heck out of users who are sold plans of unlimited usage only to find out that they're hitting a data cap that shouldn't exist on an unlimited plan. But yeah it's still not right to sell tablet plans, but part of this is their fault for having so many darn plans that are so confusing to begin with.
    And here I was hoping this video was about an MVNO that was offering a Sim card with data on all three networks.
    This will be very good for a lot of people though.
