I saw: All space marines guns shoot red laser like las gun for some reason All titans and knights (aka their "battle robots") only give rather small blast area regardless of their size. - Space Marine with bolter that - Space Marine akimbo 2 bolt pistols - Space Marine Intersessor with jumppack, with half with chainsword and half with power claws, that didn't use their jump packs. - Space Marine in terminator armor mainly Imperial Fist(yellow ones) and power/storm shield mowning down the enemy until they advanced too far and get cut down. - Gigantic sized chaplain (black robes space marines) with iron halos aka personal force field (that doesn't seen to be working), using shotguns for some reason(that also shoot laser shoot) For the warmachines we had - Handful of Warlords(biggest around) - Handful of Reaver (2nd biggest) - Handful of Warhounds (the smallest and the ones that had a big snoot face) 1 or 3 groups of Knights I think they are questor knights armed with chainsword and auto cannon. I don't know if there is more units later on.

I know that the xeno's are there, but they're not really going to affect the outcome here unless it's a really close match-up What matters is the Martian tripods, and all we know about those war of the worlds movie tripods is that they are functionally immune to assault from early 21st weaponry. We can logically assume that their own weapons and shields were developed in tandom so that it is likely that their shields are capable of resisting an attack from their own weapons but are not wholey immune. 🤔 Therefore, it stands to reason that any side not fielding weapons that are at least on par with the Martians own is just going to get stomped under foot. Gauging just how powerful those weapons are, however, is a different story altogether as the feats demonstrated in the movie aren't actually all that impressive and would suggest that the martian shields are massive overkill even when defending against other Martians. Although this can be hand waved away by saying that their weapons have been optimally set to a low powerful setting ideal for taking down unshielded targets, this does leave us in a position that we're left guessing just how strong those tripods are. The most impressive feat in the book is when a tripod evaporates a flood surge in the Thames river in a matter of seconds. That's a feat similar in power to the simultanious detonation of 30 nuclear warheads, and the tripod in question still didn't show any sign that it was nearing its limit. However, the tripods In the book differed from those in the movie by using active interception as a defence instead of using shields, so it's not really fair to ascribe that particular feat to the movie aliens 🤔 As it stands, we could low ball it and say the tripod shields are only just strong enough to completely repel 21st century arms, making this a one-sided stomp for the marines, or we could highball it and say that that even 1 tripod is enough to destroy this army without taking a scratch. Because the only limit we have for these things is the lower one.
Buddy, read Warhammer Lore. Space marines has been fighting against Aliens races far advanced than Martian. Hell even Tripods is nothing compared to Titans or wraith knight.

It's kind of like asking "who wins starwars or 40k," but starwars has everything, and 40k is only allowed to use a single systems worth of the astra militarium. Yes, the tripods in the war of the worlds are far from being the most advanced pieces of hardware in sci-fi. In the book, they're not even Martian military assets (though that's retconned in the sequal "the fall of mankind" ) The point is, their power level isn't well defined, and there's no way to make a call as to whether they're trash mobs or unassailable monsters in this particular scinario. If I had to make a guess, I'd take the destruction of the Brooklen (?) overpass as their most destructive feat in the movie, then scale their shields to be barely able resist that same blow. That would make them tough by 21st century standards but weak buy 40k standards. That said, if they were only that strong, they wouldn't be totally unstoppable by 21st-century standards either, which would undercut the whole premis of the movie thus probably isn't correct 🤔
