Stupidity is what it is
You can but it has several problems. When troops placed over objects like walls or buildings, some end up on the roofs, others just vanish. So you lose troops trying. The AI isn't the best either. Sometimes a wall is an impassable object, others the ground troop just glitches onto the roof to attack.
Oh and you set up your troops on the map, being ultra precise in troop placement is not easy as you cant do it in the battlefield screen
Was touch and go for humanity there! Had ne on the edge of my seat. When the front line got swallowed up by the hordes and they breached the castel walls, then the big mobile guns came out firing back, then some if them got overrun, and the red warriors flooded out to give the last alien zombie bastards a a ruddy good hiding!!!

Those soldiers at the end (The ones in the fort) were way too powerful I thought, it made the ending kinda boring.

Strange, if not bizarre "human" army. There are automatic weapon riflemen and large contingents of swordsmen mixed with artillery and mechanical machine guns. It is a crazy blend of 12th and 21st centuries.
However, the greatest defensive weapon is unused--the castle. The artillery could be inside with the ramparts loaded with machine guns mowing the enemy down from 100s of yards away. The artillery could devastate the enemy before it got within a mile of the castle, raining down cluster ammunition relentlessly.
I hate the inability to actually stage a defense. No use of the castle - and just people in mass.

The human army front line resembles a paper shredder. It's gonna overheat with the amount of things thrown at it. Just absolute carnage!
The strategy of this game is very good, although the number of enemies is more than the number of human squad. There the fort wall has 3 parts, each fort should have a rifle squad at the top of fortress. To add pressure from the fortress to the enemy, so that the enemy is reduced.

Those samurai hold their own ✊🏻 some of the best warriors on this simulator
they did more than hold their own..it made no sense, but they annihilated everything in their path. MVPs

I feel like having those mobile sentry guns posted up all along the castle walls would have been a much better strategy. Just let em rain down hellfire from the castle out into the mass crowds while a couple of them help out guarding the entry points.
