Cables 101

If you have not figured it out yet, cables are super important on your bike. They connect you the rider to the input to the engine, brakes, and transmission, as well as giving you feedback from the speedometer and tachometer. Whether its a brake cable, clutch cable, speedometer cable or throttle cable they need to be lubed regularly so you don't experience the heart pounding moment of having a cable snap while going to pull your clutch lever. Whether you are riding a Honda CB175, CB200, CB350, Cb360, CB450, CB550, CB750 or any motorcycle ever, they all have cables, and they all work basically the same way, so we must take care of them and make sure they're working correctly.

Just oil! If that doesn't help I'd get myself a new cable. Last thing you want is a cable snapping while you ride.
