It's the pack racing that's dangerous. The cars can't escape the pack. The only way to go faster is to push. No one was pushing Elliot at 211. If the car is faster, with less down force, you are forced to lift in the corners. You can't ride in a pack when it isn't mashed to the floor. Now, when you pull out of line you sink. Thus, you must block to win. Well, blocking leads to crashes.

Yep, and it's a testament to Tyler Reddick's talent as a driver that he had a better season this year. He's the guy I pull for now that Jimmie Johnson's retired, and I've been really impressed with him.
