You gained a follow today just for being yourselves and genuine! Miss seeing more father son bonding projects and good times! Thanks for the great content!
Absolutely I can't agree with the comments more, this video is so holy and precious, so much experience and just father and son time, it's just, I'm speechless, for those of us that don't have a father and wish we could do things like this, I thank you so much for making this video, and maybe 1 day God will grant me a son so humble and knowledgeable as yourself, so positive, thank you so much!
I absolutely love Harbor Freight! My chop saw my plasma cutter n other metal working tools all come from there. And the engine is a beast for this stuff!
I sat down and watched all 6 episodes tonight. I really enjoyed it. Such a great example. The work and fabrication was great and so is your relationship. That's what stands out the most. Thumbs up to Sam's tee shirts. God bless you both, Bill Cameron Brighton, MI (where the heat index is never 108°)
Thank you for putting the blue print for everyone for free that's really selfless it allows ppl like me to build on for minimum cost . Mines is almost don't thx again
Thank you for the information on pencil sharpening and on the bug spray How do you calculate the loads on the frame, and the flexion of the frame in cornering?
Thanks! Our "plan" isn't really accurate anymore because of a few changes we made along the way, but I can give you the basic dimensions: our kart frame is 22" wide at the back, then tapers down to 17" wide at the front to allow room for the front wheels' steering arc. The front axle is 25" long (from kingpin to kingpin). The wheelbase is 51", with an overall length of 72". Ours is pretty long, but I made it that way for an adult to ride comfortably. Overall width (outside edges of tires) is about 38". Hope that helps. I have had several requests for plans, so I might draw up a fresh set to share in the future.
hello, I want to build a model and yours looks good so I can make one, but I can't access the plans via the link, can you share them please, thank you.
Thank you guys so much for this build!!! I can’t wait to begin! If you guys don’t mind, could you make a list of all of the parts that you used and where I may be able to find these parts? I’d really appreciate it!
They probably won’t answer cuz it’s awhile into the future😂 but as far as the parts go most of them I Bellevue are listed I the beginning of each video. And where to find the pets and tools; Home Depot, harbor freight, and/or any metal store for the body parts. And if your looking for a solid metal to build it with. I’m not smart enough to tell you but I bet some quick research will tell ya a light but strong metal to use! ( stainless steel or regular square tubing maybe?)
Hey, don't know if you're still watching this thread, but my 12-year-old son and I came across your videos and have watched them all a few times over! So we're going to pull the trigger and already bought all this steel for the frame. I'm a machinist, so I am able to make several parts on my own. I do have one question. did you buy the 8-in live axle kit, or the 6-inch?
That's great to always start with a plan so you don't wast any money material's, never built a Go Kart but I built other stuff using cardboard as templets before cutting metal.

Hola estoy desde hace tiempo con la idea de fabricar un go kart a mi ieto y me a gustado mucho tu prototipo me pudieran enviar las medidas para fabricarlo gracias saludis
Awesome!! I been lookin for some kind of video in helping build my little 7 yr old son a go kart to see how he doe's bf I build {Hopefully} him a jr dragster, only thing I can think of that may be a problem is with the steering that I will have the most troubled part with. But Awesome video and I am goin to continue watching yall's build from Tenn!!
We didn't use it on this project, but typically we use a cnc plasma cutter for that. Although if you just need one or two of a simple bracket, it's usually quicker to just make them by hand. Band saw, drill press, etc.

Engine,spindles,etc
Can’t believe y’all don’t have more likes
We're pretty new at this, so we're happy for any likes we get! Thanks for watching!
Looks great. Any chance you have the dimensions/plans for the frame you can share?

Did y’all by any chance make a total list of parts for complete project?
hello, I want to build a model and yours looks good so I can make one, but I can't access the plans via the link, can you share them please, thank you.
What website did you guys use to come up with the frame

I'm also a CAD designer - Cardboard Aided Design!
What’s that website for the diagram mock up measurement
Good work guys. Using a bandsaw like that is a good way to hurt yourself though
I love the frame design that you went with, what were your final measurements after the adjustments?
Thanks! Our kart frame is 22" wide at the back, then tapers down to 17" wide at the front to allow room for the front wheels' steering arc. The front axle is 25" long (from kingpin to kingpin). Hola estoy desde hace tiempo con la idea de fabricar un go kart a mi ieto y me a gustado mucho tu prototipo me pudieran enviar las medidas para fabricarlo gracias saludis
@AnticsGarage I was wondering if I was able to make it wider to be able to sit 2 people.
Definitely! Just keep in mind you'll need to shift the steering to one side, and have 2 different length tie rods.
Thanks keep making awesome videos
How muck does this all cost???
How wide is it? And how long?
There are free plans on our website with all the details: anticsgarage.com/gokart

Let the ducks go for a test ride when it's done XD
Hello sir, what is the Thickness of the Square tube?
Probably 11 Guage
Great job
Don"t lose hope , u will get subscribes
Thanks for the inspiration guys I have a slight variation on the frame done and would love your feedback :-)
We'd like to see it! Send us an email. anticsgarage@gmail.com
@@anticsgarage5230 I have just emailed :-)
what type of wielding is that
It's MIG welding with shielding gas (75/25 Argon/CO2). But you could do the same thing with flux core, stick, or Tig.
u guys based out of kansas?
Yep!
@@anticsgarage5230 from Wichita myself loved Ur video.
Do you guys ever fabricate any brackets? I’m trying to figure out how to make shock brackets and spindles.
We didn't use it on this project, but typically we use a cnc plasma cutter for that. Although if you just need one or two of a simple bracket, it's usually quicker to just make them by hand. Band saw, drill press, etc.
what are meserments
