- This is Atari XL/XE demo by Agenda presented at SV2019 party (6-8.12.2019, Gdansk, Poland).
CODE: gorgh, koala, pr0be, svoy, xeen
GFX: ooz, piesiu, ripek, raphis
MSX: aceman, caruso, string
requirements : ATARI XL/XE PAL, RAM 320KB, STEREO
These graphics are amazing. I had one of these in the day and would program games in basic. Thank you for sharing and good luck. I have always felt that Atari 8 bit received the least love on UA-cam.
This is technically 1979 released hardware. Thank you Jay Miner.
Yes and no. In 1979 there were no GTIA and it's modes (I guess used in that demo). That chip was released in November 1981. And also it needs 320KB RAM, witch was not available in 80's. Anyway great demo.
@@blast4722 You are technically correct. Jay Miner was responsible for the OCS chipset of the original Amiga in 1985, but without his team's earlier Amiga chipset there would be no later AGA chipset. To me the same thing applies to the GTIA chipset's advancements...Jay Miner was still the father to this.
@@ridiculous_gaming I'm not an amiga guy but I know the story. Regarding that demo, there is no way to run it on the stock 1979 machine. Besides lack of the GTIA, the issue is also the Port B used for memory management above 64KB, it wasn't available in the 400/800 series. Therefore you need at least expanded 600XL from 1983. Anyway Stay Atari.
@@blast4722 I am not disputing your knowledge and the Amiga thing was an example. I have never been a Commodore guy and instead of choosing a C64 with a disk drive, I instead chose an Atari 600xl with a 1010 cassette player back in 1983. I then went to an 800xl, 130xe to an Atari 520STFM. The Amiga audio made me migrate to an Amiga 500. I still prefer the Atari 800 as a machine, for at that time, there was not a home computer on the planet that could compare to its hardware potential. Cheers.
@@blast4722 Actually, PortB was present in 400/800, only it was used for 2 extra joystick ports. Still, there are memory expansions for these machines, and people that own them are reporting that usually they have GTIA inside.
To demo jest genialne! 🏆
Very very cool! Makes me want to read about programming for the Atari!
Amazing
Reminds me of the Atari lynx sounds

Piękna robota!
Awesome! Great work dudes!
SANTA MARIA!!!!
Great Demo! 😀😎😘
Impressive!
Wow!!!!
Holy Shit! Do you know what kind of kick ass game I could make with these kind of skilz?
This is something amazing. I'm particular astonished with that Jetpack part. Could someone make a game of it?
hi Emkay, that's the plan, thanks for appreciation
@@kamiltrzaska What? You're not the author of this game or even the video. A game coder wouldn't have terrible english spelling either.
@@Silenced23 hahaha
unbelievable.
Wow
Nice Atari Demo 👍
Very impressive. I should not have given my XE away. Need to get a new old one I guess.
Perfect...
Was ist das denn für ne Hardware ???
Ich habe keinen Atar
what did you record the audio though, a 100 meter china cable to a freaking tape deck?
if you want to HEAR the demo

Would this still work on a 256MB NTSC 8-bit?
hi , no it runs only on PAL, there was no time to make it ntsc compatibile
Does this require 256 KB or 320KB?
320
Panie, to juz40 lat;)
Wrzucaj, wrzucaj!

Zbyt cicha głośność w porównaniu z innymi video.
