Claudia, it was fascinating to see how the fabric cartonnage differs from Paper cartonnage. Excellent demonstration as well of the use of your wonderful tools, both the corner tool and the spacers. A valuable video I will share with my friends and students! Thanks so much!
Great Nancy, thanks for sharing with your students. These tools are great for making our covers and boxes, right? Much easier and great finishing! I'm glad you liked the video!
Thanks for this video Claudia, very easy to follow. I will make some as a gift. The thickness of the chipboard you use is about 2mm? In Barcelona we don't use pt. Thanks
Hi Carolyn, thanks for asking. Well, the one I use for all my boxes and cases is 0.1 in thick, what is a little bit more thick than 85 points. Once I tested both in my boxes and couldn't see so many differences. 75 point is less thick, but can totally be used for a cover like this, and I also know people that use it for boxes, so, I would say we need to test for what project we want to make. As I showed in the video even 3 layers of chipboard would work for this small case, so, see what you have easier around you and give it a try. If that helps, the chipboard I use (0.1 inch thick) is the thickness of two (2) dimes together! If you still have question, I'm here!
Thank you so much. I am so compulsive obsessive (ha) that I strive to use just what I see the experts using. I will dive in and do some crafting using your technique. Did I miss where you get your 0.1 inch thick chip board? Your so kind. Love the dime reference. Have a great day.
Yes Carolyn, have fun and test some different possibilities, you will enjoy the process! About the 0.1 in thick you will find online in a few places, but what I know only in big sheets, not fun to work with. If you are not making big boxes I would rather try the 85 pt you can find online at create for less website or the 75 pt you will find at Paper phenomenon online store. The 0.1 in I use is very hard to cut by hand. Talking about that, I will make one video soon showing some cutters I have to cut paper.
Great class Claudia! So fun to see you here.

Yes Mireia, is about 2mm. They should have one standard way to call that, right? It's always confusing!! Thanks for asking!
ColorWay Arts I think so but as you say it’s always confusing. Thanks for the answer :)
Not sure the weight references to your chipboard.weights. Is 0.1 the same as 75 points or 85 points, X-thick?
