For me personally, in a trailer that size I’d rather have a larger shower and no dedicated bathroom sink. The kitchen sink is like 2 steps away that’s good enough.
100% agree, thats my only complaint with the floor plan. No sink, all shower. Preferably a tub. Less likely for water to leak out. And camlers really should run the shower liner all the way up the wall and not leave those few inches. Heck even run it on the ceiling! Rather then worrying about the interior walls getting wet

Neat little unit! Seems like they are packing a lot into a small package. And I agree the closet would be a great edition for jackets and other items you may want to hang. Use one of those bars with the slots for the hangers instead of just a rod as this is sort of looking like it is going to be fun to roll off the roadway a bit with. With just a rod your clothing may just end up in a pile by the time you get to where you are going. Thanks for the video!
Loads of storage, definitely a great thing in a small camper. My wife always looks for drawer space in the kitchen, particularly a deep big drawer for pots and pan space. The closet idea is a great idea Josh. I could see a possible concern as far as bracing for the TV, but again, all things can worked out. Jayco hit it pretty darn good I would say. And it has Azdel side walls. Maybe a hint of what direction they maybe going? Overall a great camper with a ton of storage, the step rail, the list goes on. First what I really like! 1- nice size fridge 2- lots of storage 3- longer bed (but prefer a walk around) 4- shower instead of tub 5- sofa instead of dinette w/slide 6-Pantry 7-exterior kitchen (black stone grille) 7- higher grade tires, roof, with metal framing 8- upgraded style solar panel and larger water tank 9- friction hinge door Questions 1- are the slide/swivel dining trays removable, how do they work? 2- it’s always nice to have a small window in the bathroom, could that be suggested? Also if your putting an open shelf unit above the toilet please put built in bungee cords or a different closed cabinet. Might I suggest a wall mounted basket/caddy that holds rolled up towels instead? Overall we really like this design better than most and will be interested to know the price when available!

Awesome!!!! Hi Josh, regarding the other color scheme, does that mean the dark wood in this video will be replaced too, or are you talking only about the kitchen cabinetry. If they would get rid of ALL the dark cabinetry, this would be first on my list. :) I can't wait until they hit the market.
I love the farmhouse interior, its by far my favorite! One other thing that I would love to see is that these offroad themed and targeted Campers should have the generator option. If you are gearing for off grid, it simply makes more sense than a portable or retrofitting later. I would love to see a camper that you could fill up and go and be totally self contained. Maybe combine a generator with even more solar and an inverter for an amazing off grid camper.

I love this camper! I like the bathroom. Husband said he would never use the shower but I would! The bathroom sink,storage,out side storage ! Couch! Large refrigerator! YES! Light colors inside! Fresh water 55 gal, we could boon-dock, I could live in this for 2 months, no problem!
I like the idea of the hidden closet because you do need a little hanging space for jackets or whatever. One change I would make is the cabinetry in the entertainment center and above the sofa needs to be the light color of the cabinetry in the kitchen area because it would keep the area from looking so tight and make it look wider with a lighter colors. I love the color of the kitchen. I’m impressed with the amount of storage. I would not add an oven but I love the stove top. I love the little storage above the toilet with the hanging hooks that is fantastic..My husband is 6’1 so we kind of need a taller shower so I’m glad they put a skylight in that. Digging the off-road package and the Blackstone griddle I am loving this so much!!! Loving the black tank flush! Wish we could have seen it with the slide closed.. I imagine it is still turtle friendly but tight Love the solar panel Good job Jayco! I am really excited over this and I’m excited to see some of the other models coming up I have my eye on those bunkhouses
@@SheepdogSmokey Just a proto so full specs are not yet available. This one was estimated between 3800-3900lbs. They're looking to see if they can trim a little weight, but it won't likely change much. This one also had EVERY option on it, so it's possible they could scale in *slightly* less.
@@JoshtheRVNerd That's good to know, I have a 2020 Toyota Tacoma, and that weight is right at my limit, but possibly doable. I do need to finish installing the wiring for the hitch, and save up to afford a trailer, but still, I am excited that smaller trailers are starting to include more ammenities.
@@JoshtheRVNerd A request if you don't mind, could you showcase trailers built for 1/4 ton trucks that have a shower that isn't outdoor only? My Tacoma might pull 4K but it would struggle, so seeing what's available at the 3K dry weight level, with at least a wet bath I can spray off in without being outside would be great! Sadly, being in TX, and broke, I can't buy from you, but one day I'll have my RV and travel full time, just me and my camera.
Closetainment?!? Brilliant! Love all those drawers, but I would rather see a larger convection microwave with oven delete. Looks to be really turtle friendly - very important for us. A really nice small unit. A bit smaller than our next plan, but I would love to see some of these features move UP into the higher lines.
Please still be making these in about 17 years when all my kids are out of the house 😍 also pretty sure this would tick off all my moms requirements she’s currently looking for, with the hanging space change. That’s a great idea!!

Love it. Love it. LOVE IT! Like your idea of turning the space behind the TV into a closet. I'd put a solor input on the front so one could use a portable panel to chase the sun. Just incase you're parked in the shade.
The "Closetainment" is a brilliant idea. I'd also consider making the two small drawers into one wide drawer - you just lose too much space with two drawers. I love all the storage space in this. Drawers galore plus a pantry - awesome. I know a lot of people prefer the larger fridge, but as a single person, I prefer the smaller fridge and a spacious pantry (especially with the addition of that outside fridge.) If I were optioning this out for purchase, I'd definitely prefer an oven rather than just the cooktop - but that's just me, I like to bake. :-)
I love small Campers, I currently have a Rockwood 215HW A-Frame, and I think I just found my next Camper. Also, I love the closetainment idea, would be the perfect addition to a small camper.
Really like this unit. My recommendation would be to not use dark colors inside. I look forward to seeing the final product and also the weight. Nice job!

I personally find I get way more space by folding and rolling clothes military style, so hanging storage is usually a waste for me, but hanging with removable shelfs would be the best of both worlds.

Closet-tainment idea is excellent! Also would be nice to leave space on the roof to fill that puppy up with solar panels. Move the vents out of the way! I know that's a big ask but would be sweet if you could fill one while side!
I would add a small fire place near the floor in the entertainment area. Fantastics little camper! I am waiting for them to start selling so I can buy one. Bases loaded home run on this one!
This is just Perfect. Im Single and thats just what I want. Tons of Storage. Like the Closetainment Idea. I like a small bed and Sofa not a dinette. This checks all my boxes.
I would use the closed behind the tv. And probably place my kids electronics on the bottom of it or above it depending on the ability to route cables through it to the above tv space.
They resurrected and modernized the Jay Feather 7 and added a half a foot of width. I was bummed when the got rid of the 7 so I'm happy they're making a narrowish body again. I'm jealous of that fridge. My 23rd's is barely bigger than a cooler. The only thing we hang are coats in ours. Everything else is folded so I'd rather have more shelves personally.
I think the closet behind the tv would be an excellent addition to the trailer. Having the closet with the two bottom draws below it would be fabulous. I could see a single person or a couple use this as a full time rig. It’s an awesome layout and its got fabulous storage for such a small trailer.
I LOVE IT! Bunk beds PLEASE!!!!! That way my family won’t make me sleep outside on the ground with the ants:( And maybe some cabinets in the corners of the bunk beds for books and drinks so no wetting the beds. I don’t even hang my clothes up at home, so maybe just a couple of hooks or a small pipe sticking out in there for jackets.
Hanging closet behind the tv is 100% how that should be setup. Edit. Looks like jayco pretty much nailed it. The larger tank sizes (assuming black and great are to scale with the fresh) is a killer feature. Its a little larger and more comfortable then a geo pro with a much nicer interior while still being towable by a mid sized truck or suv. Only improvement I can think off is if they found a way to add a "fireplace" at the foot of the bed like the freedom express pilot 19FBS had. Yeah its a gimmick but it would just be so cozy on a crisp fall evening.
Yes absolutely as a closet behind the tv. That’s a great idea. Love the couch, tv, all the storage and different colors of the cabinets. No oven (rather the storage) but maybe instead, a convection microwave? Overall, great unit!
Love the hidden closet idea. Might be a little cumbersome with TV wiring hanging there, but I'm sure if they do go with that idea the wiring and cables will be routed out of the way. Love the videos and how well you show and describe everything. Now if I could only decide which one I want...🙄

This is the perfect tiny camper! Personally I'd like to keep the drawers as they are, but your idea is also wonderful. Either way it's gonna be a stellar option! Edit: I just realized how little space there is for a trashcan. Getting rid of the drawers under the sink if possible to make room for a trashcan would be great, and still give room to store pots and pans.
This trailer is awesome! I was hoping it would be the 199MBS but it was nice to see the direction they were going! Excited to see the rest of the line!
Me too as that 199MBS was my personal suggestion. I campaigned for it pretty hard and if this early excitement is any indication it's going to be their #1 model by far
If you haven't done so, then I would recommend subscribing so you can see it land. I've never seen so much interest in a model that doesn't even exist yet in my entire career. I would also advise contacting our team in a few weeks to see if pricing is available at that point. The first wave of these things is going to VANISH the moment they hit the grounds.

Wow, looks awesome. Hey Josh, I like your 'closetainment' (sic) suggestion. I also have a suggestion, if Jayco is still considering feedback. I suggest they consider moving the optional solar panel controller closer to the bathroom door frame (if that is possible), so that it's accessible when the slide is closed. It's not a huge issue if it can't be moved, but we've used our Freedom Express 192rbs (which we love), at rest stops and appreciated having access to the thermostat while the sofa slide was closed (unlike earlier 192rbs models).
Great idea josh with the hanging space, would’ve have thought of that, it still is nice that they gave you 4 drawers on the entertainment center. Nice little rig, I like what Jayco did with this jay feather micro. Little unit but tons of storage. I also like how having the oven is optional, I think that more brands should start doing that.
As always Josh, excellent job. Your videos are second to none! We have a Rockwood geo pro 19fbs that we went full time with for 10 months to travel the US and Canada and still use it frequently today. This Jay Feather micro looks amazing and has made the top of our trade in list! A few nitpick items would be: We have an oven and have used it regularly in our geo pro for pizzas on lazy days when we want easy meals and cleanup. The trailer would look far more modern without the panels on the fridge. Panel covered refrigerators are something my grandmother has in her 70’s home. Stick with stainless or black for a more timeless trailer. Max air fan in our geo pro is AMAZING and one of our favorite features of the geo pro. I don’t think it was mentioned but hopefully the toilet isn’t plastic on the production model. When we boondock, we wanted the option of an MPPT charge controller and lithium batteries/extra solar panel(s). We spent big $ upgrading this on our own (a factory option would have been greatly appreciated) and watching UA-cam videos, we’ve noticed tons of other people have done the same with their boondockable trailers. Wish this bed was 60x80. Im 6’4” 220lbs and the extra width for broad shoulders is always appreciated but the 80 is great to hear. The fresh water tank size is going to be AWESOME in this trailer. We use the outdoor shower all the time and always wish for more water storage. The keypad entry door latch on the geo pro is another regularly used feature when we bike or kayak and don’t want to worry about our keys. We are stoked about the height of this trailer (no knob to scrape my head on with the AC unit) and a shower I might fit in. The rail around the outside looks awesome and we’d definitely put two kayaks on the roof! LOVE the 87mph rated tires. We frequently travel Idaho/Nevada/Wyoming/Utah with 80mph freeway speeds and this is a great piece of mind and the tire/rim package looks great! A larger fridge has been another wish in our Rockwood so we are always forced to bring an extra electric cooler. We also love the extra section of counter top in this trailer to prepare food without having to use the foldout table. Blackstone Griddle and outdoor fridge are icing on the cake when we don’t want to prepare food inside on a hot day. And finally, a U dinette option would be awesome in place of the couch. Easier to squeeze 4 people in a pinch and there’s still capabilities to lounge with a U dinette and you have a little more prep space and card playing space with friends on a rainy day. Can’t wait to see this trailer in person! Excellent video!
TAKE MY MONEY NOW! This is the perfect blend of what I love about the GeoPro and the MiniLite. That couch actually looks comfy for us fluffy folk as well as an occasional guest/teen. Also, the height is gonna give us tall fluffies plenty of room. The "closet-tainmet" is genius! Do you have an idea of where the weight mind end up? Jayco knocked it out the park with this one! Looks like we may have found our honeymoon chariot lol.

It’s laid out very similar to a truck camper footprint. They really achieved perfection with this one. Very nice! And “dad bod” had me dying!!!!

Love it. Love it. LOVE IT! Like your idea of turning the space behind the TV into a closet. I'd put a solor input on the front so one could use a portable panel to chase the sun. Just incase you're parked in the shade.

The "Closetainment" is a brilliant idea. I'd also consider making the two small drawers into one wide drawer - you just lose too much space with two drawers.
I love all the storage space in this. Drawers galore plus a pantry - awesome. I know a lot of people prefer the larger fridge, but as a single person, I prefer the smaller fridge and a spacious pantry (especially with the addition of that outside fridge.) If I were optioning this out for purchase, I'd definitely prefer an oven rather than just the cooktop - but that's just me, I like to bake. :-)

Great idea on the closet instead of the hidden pantry. I think that would be a better use of the space.
I personally find I get way more space by folding and rolling clothes military style, so hanging storage is usually a waste for me, but hanging with removable shelfs would be the best of both worlds.

Closet-tainment idea is excellent! Also would be nice to leave space on the roof to fill that puppy up with solar panels. Move the vents out of the way! I know that's a big ask but would be sweet if you could fill one while side!
I would add a small fire place near the floor in the entertainment area. Fantastics little camper! I am waiting for them to start selling so I can buy one. Bases loaded home run on this one!

They resurrected and modernized the Jay Feather 7 and added a half a foot of width. I was bummed when the got rid of the 7 so I'm happy they're making a narrowish body again.
I'm jealous of that fridge. My 23rd's is barely bigger than a cooler.
The only thing we hang are coats in ours. Everything else is folded so I'd rather have more shelves personally.
I think the closet behind the tv would be an excellent addition to the trailer. Having the closet with the two bottom draws below it would be fabulous. I could see a single person or a couple use this as a full time rig. It’s an awesome layout and its got fabulous storage for such a small trailer.

I LOVE IT! Bunk beds PLEASE!!!!! That way my family won’t make me sleep outside on the ground with the ants:( And maybe some cabinets in the corners of the bunk beds for books and drinks so no wetting the beds. I don’t even hang my clothes up at home, so maybe just a couple of hooks or a small pipe sticking out in there for jackets.

Edit. Looks like jayco pretty much nailed it. The larger tank sizes (assuming black and great are to scale with the fresh) is a killer feature. Its a little larger and more comfortable then a geo pro with a much nicer interior while still being towable by a mid sized truck or suv. Only improvement I can think off is if they found a way to add a "fireplace" at the foot of the bed like the freedom express pilot 19FBS had. Yeah its a gimmick but it would just be so cozy on a crisp fall evening.
That fireplace in those pilots was such eye candy. I loved it
Yes absolutely as a closet behind the tv. That’s a great idea. Love the couch, tv, all the storage and different colors of the cabinets. No oven (rather the storage) but maybe instead, a convection microwave? Overall, great unit!

Love the hidden closet idea. Might be a little cumbersome with TV wiring hanging there, but I'm sure if they do go with that idea the wiring and cables will be routed out of the way. Love the videos and how well you show and describe everything. Now if I could only decide which one I want...🙄

This is the perfect tiny camper! Personally I'd like to keep the drawers as they are, but your idea is also wonderful. Either way it's gonna be a stellar option!
Edit: I just realized how little space there is for a trashcan. Getting rid of the drawers under the sink if possible to make room for a trashcan would be great, and still give room to store pots and pans.

Wow, looks awesome. Hey Josh, I like your 'closetainment' (sic) suggestion. I also have a suggestion, if Jayco is still considering feedback. I suggest they consider moving the optional solar panel controller closer to the bathroom door frame (if that is possible), so that it's accessible when the slide is closed. It's not a huge issue if it can't be moved, but we've used our Freedom Express 192rbs (which we love), at rest stops and appreciated having access to the thermostat while the sofa slide was closed (unlike earlier 192rbs models).

Great idea josh with the hanging space, would’ve have thought of that, it still is nice that they gave you 4 drawers on the entertainment center. Nice little rig, I like what Jayco did with this jay feather micro. Little unit but tons of storage. I also like how having the oven is optional, I think that more brands should start doing that.

As always Josh, excellent job. Your videos are second to none! We have a Rockwood geo pro 19fbs that we went full time with for 10 months to travel the US and Canada and still use it frequently today. This Jay Feather micro looks amazing and has made the top of our trade in list! A few nitpick items would be:
We have an oven and have used it regularly in our geo pro for pizzas on lazy days when we want easy meals and cleanup.
The trailer would look far more modern without the panels on the fridge. Panel covered refrigerators are something my grandmother has in her 70’s home. Stick with stainless or black for a more timeless trailer.
Max air fan in our geo pro is AMAZING and one of our favorite features of the geo pro. I don’t think it was mentioned but hopefully the toilet isn’t plastic on the production model.
When we boondock, we wanted the option of an MPPT charge controller and lithium batteries/extra solar panel(s). We spent big $ upgrading this on our own (a factory option would have been greatly appreciated) and watching UA-cam videos, we’ve noticed tons of other people have done the same with their boondockable trailers. Wish this bed was 60x80. Im 6’4” 220lbs and the extra width for broad shoulders is always appreciated but the 80 is great to hear. The fresh water tank size is going to be AWESOME in this trailer. We use the outdoor shower all the time and always wish for more water storage. The keypad entry door latch on the geo pro is another regularly used feature when we bike or kayak and don’t want to worry about our keys. We are stoked about the height of this trailer (no knob to scrape my head on with the AC unit) and a shower I might fit in. The rail around the outside looks awesome and we’d definitely put two kayaks on the roof! LOVE the 87mph rated tires. We frequently travel Idaho/Nevada/Wyoming/Utah with 80mph freeway speeds and this is a great piece of mind and the tire/rim package looks great! A larger fridge has been another wish in our Rockwood so we are always forced to bring an extra electric cooler. We also love the extra section of counter top in this trailer to prepare food without having to use the foldout table. Blackstone Griddle and outdoor fridge are icing on the cake when we don’t want to prepare food inside on a hot day. And finally, a U dinette option would be awesome in place of the couch. Easier to squeeze 4 people in a pinch and there’s still capabilities to lounge with a U dinette and you have a little more prep space and card playing space with friends on a rainy day. Can’t wait to see this trailer in person! Excellent video!
A closet is a good idea. Maybe have the access from the bed side so you don't have to mess with the TV

TAKE MY MONEY NOW! This is the perfect blend of what I love about the GeoPro and the MiniLite. That couch actually looks comfy for us fluffy folk as well as an occasional guest/teen. Also, the height is gonna give us tall fluffies plenty of room. The "closet-tainmet" is genius! Do you have an idea of where the weight mind end up? Jayco knocked it out the park with this one! Looks like we may have found our honeymoon chariot lol.
