I learned early on to charge a ridiculous amount on really overgrown stuff like that because we always hit stuff. What a wild ride! Looks much better.

It was probably the best time of year to cut the high grass and weeds because they were dormant and dry.

Hey there, can anyone explain to me why this job was not done with a flail mower? Wouldn't that be better for knocking down all the brush and small trees? Looks like it was a lot of stress and wear for these standard rotary blades. Greetings from Germany!
Thanks for tuning in from Germany! I definitely want to try out the flail mower for this Ventrac someday. The Tough Cut deck is made for thick brush, but the flail is made for tall grass and light brush. It would have done great tackling the lighter material for sure! I'm not sure what they plan on doing with this empty lot. They've mentioned leveling it and buidling on it, but man that would be a HUGE undertaking!

Just curious how many acres did you mow??? That was pretty kewl when that John Deere showed up with a 15 foot cutter that was amazing. Many moons ago my Uncle had a wheat farm in Ritzville WA and my oldest son spent a few weeks there on the farm during harvest and he said: mom that harvester is huge and was kind of scary on some of those hills. Just like some of the hills you were doing LOL. Thank you for a GREAT video.
The big John Deere with the 15 foot batwing really helped out! I tackle probably 5 to 7 acres out here in this one spot. A little too steep for a traditional tractor. But the Ventrac handles it easily. You can handle up to 35° slope. The slopes were about 20 to 25. Thank you for watching! Stay tuned for more videos.

Ohhhh yeah! I would really like to have a cab on the tractor. That’s the one thing I’m missing. This one was pretty steep for a regular tractor. We were really hesitant to bring it to this job.
This Isn t just mowing. This is land clearing. I figure maybe $15,000 job but probably more.
Definitely a little more than just MOWING! Same goes for the price. A little more than just mowing tall grass.

I think you should have bough a skidsteer and mulcher.
Definitely would be nice on some of these jobs to have a cab, but it would tear up the lawn on the majority of jobs I tackle.
Is it the weight of the Ventrac itself that calls for 8 tires?
Makes it easier to climb hills without flipping and going into soft wet areas.

Hey Cameron, this may be a stupid question, why don't you take a small chinsaw with you to take down the bigger saplings save wear and tear on your mower blades.All the best to you...
Hey Bill! I would gladly knock some of the bigger ones down with the chainsaw, but it's up to the customer as to what they want cleared. On this particular job, they weren't concerned with some of the thicker stuff. Just wanted all the smaller stuffed knocked down. I offered to take the chainsaw out there and clean it up a little more, but they weren't interested. Appreciate you taking the time to watch! Catch you in the next one...

Nah, that mower is designed to cut a manicured lawn. This is a job where you want a tough cut deck. It beats it up pretty good going through the thick brush. Appreciate you watching!

Geez! Bicycle rim?! People just trash places n don t care. Maybe keep metal circulating saw with you. Not sure what it s called. Maybe pipe cutter? I ve seen them tho n cut thru steel even. At least think this rim is aluminum n a pretty soft metal. Hate it held u up tho. 😕

take out the garbage first, and then cut the grass , not a good job
