If I was the owner I would have someone to come over ever other week to mow and keep the property looks like someone lives there it looks great
Yeah, for sure! I know it can get expensive with all the upkeep though. But to keep them from doing it again, it would be a good idea to keep the grass cut on a more regular basis. Thanks for watching!
The owner should put up a few Bluetooth cameras that they can monitor from their phone remotely.

I was thinking the same thing. If the yard was done at least twice a month no one would suspect that the house was vacant.
Glad you could help them out. Years ago had leave my house when my Dad died to help out my mom came back to a broken door and a broken window which left me with black mold to clean up. Can happen to anyone.
Finally, Someplace where they arrest squatters instead of coddling them. I would recommend "No Trespassing" signs for legal purposes and an appliance timer for lights in the house.

If the owner can afford two houses, he can afford a security system and possibly a Ring camera to document everything. The transformation is excellent as always.
I thought that house looked familiar and when I saw the river I knew I had. I think I remember him doing several upgrades a while back. Letting the property get so overgrown, in that area, was not a good decision. The fake ADT sign didn't fool the squatter. I hope she didn't trash the inside. Good work helping him out!.. Cheers!!
Yes, sir! Sign definitely didn’t deter them. They have it set up to catch anyone on the property now. I would like to say that it would have been avoided if the line was nice and clean, but you never know nowadays. People feel like they are entitled to someone else’s property. Whoever owns that property should hire a property manager. They can come by and check in on the place at least once a week and inform the owner of anything odd going on. They can also do some upkeep of the property so it doesn't look abandoned and appealing to squatters.

Yeah, I was a little concerned that they wouldn’t be able to get them out of there. Thankfully the authorities acted quickly and did a great job removing them.
Secluded place like that, I wouldn't call the cops nor go through the courts. I got the right to defend my property. Squatters wouldn't like me.
He needs to put timers on his lights, leave a TV on and keep his grass cut weekly and plant some flowers or this will never stop.

The owner needs to get that vivid home security system. Everything hooks up to his phone and protrusions will show on his phone and goes to the police department.

When I was in Mexico, I noticed a lot of homes with decorative security bars on all of their window and doors. He could check with a security company to see what options are available + security cameras. Also, have lights come using a timer could be an idea. Bless his heart and bless you for helpling him out.
Good ideas! It's sad that we have to go to these measures to keep our place safe nowadays. But that's what it comes down to for some...

Thank you! The Ventrac put in a little work on that one. I think a good security system would do the trick for sure. Keep an eye on the place and warn authorities if they see anything suspicious. No way I was going over there until they came in and swept the place. Thankful they got in there and got them out!

I agree. I hate that the homeowner has to deal with this mess. Nice house and nice property. But the homeless found it to be a perfect property for them to set up camp. Hoping they can get this resolved.
That looks like such a lovely little home. I just hope the Squatter's didn't do any serious damage to it. I would be fuming if I came home to that and found Squatter's making a mess of the place.
Yeah, really nice home. Hopefully they didn't do too much damage on the inside. I know the owners have taken time to fix it up. But I'm not sure how much more I would do until property is fully secure from squatters entering back in.

I’m always extra cautious with my tough cut around any gates- so many times there is a chain, piece of rebar, cinder blocks, bailing wire just lurking under that tall grass. I guess used to prop open gate… anyway another fine job Cameron!
Yeah, on those one off jobs I’m always super cautious. Never know what’s lurking under the talk stuff. I felt ok on this one bc I’ve mowed it a couple times in the past. Anything is possible though! Thanks for taking time to watch. 👍

If this is a second home for this client there would be no free mows and and no free home checkups. I'm sure there are more deserving people.
I sure do like that mower, dual wheel, articulated, front mounted mower…. So many great things, except the price. The only thing I don’t like about it is the front loader which works but has a woefully low working height, you did a great job.
Yeah, the price is a little steep! And it keeps climbing up. But the machine can do so much and so many different things. You can definitely make some money with it. I really like the dual wheels for the hills and wet areas. The articulation and flex frame is really cool as well! The power bucket definitely has it's limitations. Thankfully, they came out with a new loader. But it has it's limitations as well. It doesn't go up high enough for me to dump into the dump trailer. So I'm not sure if I will get it someday. We'll see. Appreciate you watching.

This guy needs to invest in a good alarm system. Even if you can't afford an alarm service, there are inexpensive alarms you can put on your doors and windows that make a huge racket. It may be enough to scare people off.
Alarm System is a must. Owner has eyes 👀 on the property now though.
This is just a suggestion for you. If you have customers living out of state. Check out the House Sitters in that state. And All the housesitter keeps the property clean inside and out and. Pay the utilities. They pay for what they use. When leaving they have to give 45 days notice, because that will give them time to inspect the property. It's just a suggestion to give to your out of state clients. ❤❤❤❤️

I would use solar lighting or battery lamps around the property. Dont forget to hang washing on the line for a derrent too !
Solar lighting, I like that idea. Much cheaper than a security light and can illuminate the property enough to see if anyone is messing around it. Now the clothes line, that's next level. Never thought of that! Thanks for watching.
Good solution is to ask neighbors to park up outside sometimes, if they wanna help. I have several huge solar lamps spread around my property. @@TheLawnCareLifeinMowssouri

Not only keep lawn mowed, but all bushes needed trimming, Grass cuttings by the walkway needed picking up and removed. . . . .

Always have security cameras and have someone check in on the property every once in a while if you don’t plan on staying in the property long term. Also in most states setting traps is illegal so the squatter can easily be arrested.

Can’t believe the home is built on piers and it’s wide open underneath and not closed in. He must have the best insulation in earth to prevent Frozen pipes and to keep the heating and cooling cost down!
Gotta keep the river water from coming in the house when we get a lot of rain. They build em so the pipes don’t freeze and the water doesn’t destroy the inside. Thanks for watching!

I'm thinking that maybe the owner of the place should have you coming out maybe every two to three weeks to keep it from the squatters from doing that again. Squatters tend to look for houses that are not well kept up. A unkept yard says that the owner doesn't pay much attention to that piece of property. So it would be easy in the squatters' minds to be able to live under the radar in such homes.
Yeah, I definitely agree. I could go out there every couple of weeks and keep it looking nice and clean. Check out the property while I'm there. Kinda keep an eye on things. But then again, you wouldn't get to see this machine tackling an overgrown mess. It would probably cut back on the squatters though. I'm with you on this one!

Too nice of a property not to be checked on by someone or have some live in it when not there and pay the utilities and yard care. I would do it being retired in Florida and would enjoy going to Missouri to get away. Home owner could come to my place to stay when I am gone. Nice job of clean up and I hope you carry at all the time as we do in Florida.

Yeah, I know! Kinda rare these days, huh?! Glad that the homeowner won on this one! Still not sure what they had planned for the trip wires, but it looked sketchy.
I think maybe a little more trimming could have been done around the house and fence which includes trees, I don’t know the deal made with the owner. But what you did looks great. God Bless
House was trimmed good, but the fence a different story. LOTS of poison Ivy along the fence line. I touched it the first time and never again lol. Hospital visit, shot, and scars to prove it. 🤦♂️

I lived in the Twin Lakes area of Arkansas for 29 years. This is so reminiscent of my old stomping grounds. Lovely piece of property, is it in a minor flood plain? The house looks like it is elevated 3-4 feet.

I think the homeowner should either rent it out or do an Airbnb or something with it, if he's not living in it for that long each year. At least make some $ and prevent people from thinking there's no one ever there. I'm sure there are people that just stalk properties to find ones like this.
