I came here to say thank you for the training you offer here. I made my 100th sale a few days ago. All of your training is good, but I am especially grateful for the methods you shared on how to create listings more efficiently. I am in full-tilt boogie mode and you are a big part of the reason for that. Your videos are pure gold!
Hi Cassiy. I was not blessed enough as you are. I worked so hard since September designing, posting my designs, and all the things I have learned but Etsy never gave me any sale. The 5 sales I got was from my acquaintances in FB…. I have almost 200 listings and I just got burned out…I’m taking a break now…will not give up though…will start listing again next week. It was stressful the past 3 months but I’m still hopeful maybe next year will be a better one for me… thank you for all your videos, I have earned a lot… ❤
I'm right there with you. When you spend so much time and get no results, burnout happens. I have absolutely no motivation to keep going without results. It's like if you exercise and cut calories for months and not lose any weight, you're pretty much going to give up. I don't think it's possible for all of us to have Cassiy's level of success.
I have a question. So after the holidays are over (or the season, appreciation day, etc) do you take down those designs and relist the next year? Or do you leave them up all year ? Does it hurt one way or the other? Thanks for your time!
I'm so glad that I found your content! Next month I'm going to start selling for the first time using printify and etsy. I appreciate your videos so much! thank you :)
Congrats on getting started! I'd recommend not waiting if you can. A lot of new Etsy shops get suspended when they first open for about a week or need to wait a week before they can sell to verify their bank account info etc. So I'd recommend getting your shop opened and printify account set up now so you can just get past those things before you are ready to jump all the way in. Then maybe start doing research on what types of designs sell well on shirts, what types of colors/fonts to use in your designs. Maybe even start a list of designs you want to make for your store and then even start playing around with Canva and getting used to using it. This will make it feel a lot less overwhelming later since there are so many things to learn!
Thank you for all your training. I've learned so much. I have a store that I follow for inspiration only of course. Lately, for Christmas, they seem to be killing it with the TV show Schitt's Creek Christmas sweatshirts. The SEO does not say the word Schitts. Mostly Creek or the names of the characters. I know you're gracious, but doesn’t that sometimes make you go, uuugh. It's such a popular show and I am sure tempting. I'll keep watching your videos and loving the inspiration. Thank you for being such a role model and showing us how to make money without cheating.
Very good information. One of the most honest YT channels with lots of good information. My take is that luck plays a huge part in POD and Etsy. Luck meaning that you could research and read the data etc and your particular design simply doesn’t appeal. Another person may have an idea that you may not think is even that awesome but it sells like hot cakes and that store hits the jackpot. In a way every listing even when data backed is like a lottery ticket. You can get lucky and sell thousands or not even sell one.
it's just the nature of things here I guess. That's why they say you never know which listing will take off. You're only one design away from possible success. At least that's what I keep telling myself lol
Thank you. I appreciate you keeping it real. You share the potential, but you also mention that four-letter word that many don't get into. 🙂 Data-driven listings/ads is an important distinction. I'm trying to learn that part, too.
Thank you for this informative video. My shop is a sample shop that you were talking about in the video. It is 16 months old and has 472 active listings, 2-3 listings almost every day for the last 4 months, with the very meticulous search of KWs and what is popular on Etsy, and only 71 sales till now. I am doing exactly what you said in this video and in your other videos. My case is very discouraging and I have decided to shut down the shop after Christmas. Since my shop takes 3-4 hours every day, sometimes more than that.
Thank you for doing a video like this! My shop has been officially open for one week today and at first I was really pumped up and excited and I had a couple sales from friends and family but have yet to receive that first sale from a stranger. I was starting to feel a little discouraged and thinking about if I actually have what it takes to do this. Your videos are so inspiring and I appreciate how clear and concise your advice is. Thanks for the motivation!
Is there a way to list 2 items that are different in one listing? Not a variation on the same item but a different product that can be bought together or as a single item. Does that make sense! Like a purse with a design and an accessory that matches it.
Thanks again for you input! I feel my biggest struggle is creating enough designs quickly. Between working full-time & kids (no excuse).. Would love to scale my business. 🙏
I agree with Penina! You have a lot on your plate! Not everyone has a ton of time to put into this, so maybe for you it could look for like setting small goals like one or two designs a day. And just being content with what you're able to do without overworking yourself!
Same! I have a full time job, am a full time student and have 5 kids.. but try to carve a little time each day to work on my Etsy shop because it is also important!
Thank you for the great information! I have already set up discount codes for Abandoned Carts, Favorites and I wish to change the percentage. Can this be done with an Edit? If so I cannot figure out how to do that. Thanks!
Do any of your videos show an example of your "reviews card" that you add into the photos of the listing? I know I have seen it but can't seem to find one. Thank you!
I've only had 4 sales, so I don't really have anything showing me what people like. I watched the video where you said to have a photo card showing reviews, and I added my 5-star reviews to the two listings I got them on. So my question is this: Should I add that photo card to all of my listings, or just the listing that the review is about? Thank you so much for your videos, I know most of what I know from you!
Hey Cassiy, I was wondering if there is any chance you can do a budget video when it comes to POD on etsy. I watched your older videos when you discussed the start up cost of running the business but I was curious if you can explain how to tell if you are profitable in a month with everything. I get confused when it comes to adding etsy ads plus all the fees such as listings fees printify premium ect. I’d appreciate it a lot!
I did do a video that shows how I track my income/expense every month and I walk through a real example and show where I got the numbers from, here is a link to it, hopefully this helps
I have a question on your profit calculator if you have decided to include the free shipping for your customers, how would that factor into the calculation?
You just need to include the shipping price within the cost of the item like normal. So if the shirt is $8.78 + $4 shipping, then you would put into the calculator that your total cost is $12.78. Then if you charge "free shipping" by including your shipping cost in your item total, then you would say your item price for example is $24.99. But even if you offer "free shipping" it's just moving the amounts around to decide how much you want to charge. Like you could do $19.99 + $4.99 shipping or do $24.99 with free shipping. either way the customer pays you the same amount and your cost is the same amount. Hope that makes sense!
Thank you so much for your videos, you have inspired me to make the leap and start a shop. Over the past couple days I have created 20 listings and have begun to reach out to family and friends to spread the word, making me really excited for the support from them. Many of my family and friends are living in Canada and I am unsure how to include shipping to Canda like that. I wondered if you could help me in showing or telling me how I could ship to Canada?
Congrats on getting started!! Go edit one of your listings that you have made, go down to the shipping profile, edit it and here you should see the option to add countries like Canada to your shipping profile! Just remember that shipping is more expensive to Canada than to the US so make sure you price it right that you aren't losing money!
No I have a nice decent camera that we take the photos with, but you could try with your iPhone and see how they come out! Just try buying one blank shirt from jiffyshirts.com and try different lighting and poses and see if any of them look nice with your phone! It'll only be a few dollars to test out the idea. Best of luck!
First, thank you for all the information you provide, it's appreciated. Question: When you say "new listings weekly", do you mean making new designs each week, or do you mean new listings for previously listed designs? I'm worried that I won't have enough time to make a bunch of brand new designs every week
Hi Cassiy, thank you so much for all the valuable content you bring to us. QUESTION: Is there any point in posting christmas designs at this stage or is it already too late? I am torn because I am hearing that Etsy's algorithm takes 60-90 days to determine the quality of your listing and push it out to customers. What is your experience with that? Have you had new listings take off "over night" without any adds? Is that possible?
At this point I'd recommend working on what's next instead of focussing on Christmas. You totally could get a few sales before the seasons is done if you hopped on some trends but I think you would have a much better time focussing on more evergreen designs (things that sell all year) like professions and the upcoming holidays! Best of luck
@@CassiyJohnson Thanks so much Cassiy! What about my other question, eg. your experience on Etsy's algorithm taking 60-90 days to pick up a listing and show it to people? Is it a myth? Thank you so much for your time.
Cassie, I have been watching all your videos and they are so helpful. Thank You. Right now I am trying to find a video of what I am doing wrong with the shipping. My customer (luckily my sister was charged 1.10 for the transaction fee. It was on one of my mugs. Is there a video that I can watch over and over again to see what I did wrong? Thank You.
Madam 1 doubt Customer placed a order from my store then printify notice that then takecare the shipping and all service but how can i send money to printify?? For their charge
Sorry, but I have another question. You said about having a listing for every single color that I carry? So I would need to buy every single color mock up then for each style?
Hi Morgan! Yes, I prefer to have a listing for every color. But if you only do white, gray, black, navy - that’s not a ton of different mock-ups. There are also mock-up bundles you can find on Etsy! I hope that makes sense 😊
@@CassiyJohnson thank you. It absolutely does make sense. I just never thought instead of combining to drop down list posts that I should make a separate individual listing but in a way that makes sense to do as there is the LIMIT of photos and I definitely haven’t gone with only those staples of colors. Not with how the fashion industry has been going all retro and next year is going even farther with their crazy choices. I wasn’t sure which colors would actually sell so I put as many as they let me with Swiftpod.
I have sales every day on Etsy. I get about 3-4 orders a day on average. Some slow days (1-2 orders), and some busy days (6-7 orders). How can I increases my daily sales? I’m selling digital products currently. Should I increase my budget on ads? I feel like I’m already at a decent high budget (30 max/day). I’m trying to get into Pinterest but am not sure how to succeed on Pinterest! Love your videos!!:)
Hi Cassiy, I'm just setting up my first business but I have a question re setting up payment with Printify. You suggest a credit card as I have to pay them first as I'm the middle man BUT what happens if you sell 100 T-Shirts for example in one big order. Would you have to have say 100 times $25 ($2500) available in your credit card before anything gets shipped??
This is a very unlikely scenario, while it would be great to get 100 sales right away, it just isn't a realistic outcome. Don't let this fear hold you back! EVERYTHING is figureoutable. Worst case though, let's say this did happen, you could put through a few per day and just have it take longer for some to get made until you get the payments from Etsy. If it was one big order, then yes you have to pay for it upfront before it can be made though.
Amazing tips as usual. I am paying for Etsy Ads. How many items should I turn this on for? Is it better to have lots or is it better to stick only with Items that have already sold and if it is for items already sold, should I only click on one or two or should I click on all 6 that are doing well? Thank you again.
Hi Brenda! I suggest only advertising items that have already sold! It depends on your budget, but only advertising 6 items should be fine even with a small budget. Wishing you all the best! ❤️
You will double check with your customer that the name and address on file are correct. If anything was wrong then you will need to have them pay I think $8 to ship a new one to the customer. Just reach out to printify once you confirm name and address and they will walk you through the process!
hmmm it should be valid still, please make sure you are typing in all caps CASSIY30 , if that doesn't work then please email me at stopmockandroll@gmail.com a screenshot of it not working and I will get Printify to fix it!
Hi cassie i followed your steps in regards to starting up etsy store but it won't let me past the 2 step verification stage everytime I input my mobile number for sms verification option it says " too many failed attempts. Try again later. " everything else has worked out fine im just stuck at this final processing stage on shop security. Any help would be much appreciated. ✌
Hi Cassiy .. love your vids!! Thank you!! I'm looking to create digital wall art and other digital products to sell on etsy... I'm at the beginning stage just wondering do I need to subscibe to everything??? I mean I'll subscribe to Canva of course as I'll need that but will I need Creative Fabrica, Creative Market there's all these black friday deals screaming at me!!! :D I don't want to fork out too much money yet as I at the beginning. 🙄
I'd start with just Canva and then decide to add things on as you find a need for them! Creative Fabrica is a great tool though and is on a pretty big sale for Black Friday so I would consider them but I wouldn't say it's 100% necessary.
@@CassiyJohnson Thanks for your quick response... if i had to choose one Creative Market or Fabrica ... I probaby would get more use out of Fabrica for now... correct?! I know I saw the deal with Fabrica it is very tempting (they say original price is 348 is that true??!!
@@BeBe-yg2un I think origonally it was that price but in the 2 years I have been using it, there is pretty much always a sale for $19.99/month so I've paid $239.88/year for it up until this year when they started running these great sales! Creative Market is good too but I definitely don't use them as much
So sorry about that, it doesn't get emailed to you, it brings you to a page to download it right after purchase. Please email me and I will send it right over to you. My email is stopmockandroll@gmail.com
Hey!! Thank you so much for your content. You are my go to! Question....do you utilize clickfunnels to drive sales? If so, has it been helpful? Thank you!
I'd make sure you are designing for holidays/seasons and appreciation days 6-8 weeks in advance so you can get sales early for those trends and be at the top of the search results by time the masses start shopping. I'd also keep designing for more evergreen niches like professions in the meantime to make sure you have a steady stream of designs that can sell all year round.
Cassiy, I am still not sure should I stress if I do not manage to list each day? You mentioned it is important to have a weekly listing goal. But somehow I feel I have less visits into my store if I miss some days listing. What are your thoughts about this?
These are two separate things, If you want to turn off the $35 and over free shipping that Etsy offers then here are some instructions If you'd still like to turn off your free shipping guarantee: On Etsy.com, click the Your Account icon, then click Shop Manager. Click Settings. Click Shipping settings. Scroll to the bottom of the Free shipping guarantee tab. Click Yes, turn off guarantee. Click Turn off my guarantee. To set up just regular free shipping, set this up within your shipping profile in the listing and change it to free shipping!
I am staying in UAE. Can i do the etsy and printify business from here? Do i need to have balance in my credit or debit card to start the business? Or customer pays in etsy and printify deduct their payment from that.
Can anyone please help me ? i ve used Cassiy's coupon and get subscription for 1 month trail and i downloaded 10 product limit.I want to use all access but it says no credit for me. How can i make it start now ?
Hi Cassidy, I hope you are very well 😃 Thank you so much! for sharing such useful videos ❤ You are amazing! I started watching your videos and I am motivated to work in my Etsy shop that I have abandoned 2 years ago I have about 250 reviews I bought the salesamurai subscription with your discount coupon (thanks for that 😃) and later I'll buy the Canva subscription I would like to focus on listing men's niche t-shirts and I would really appreciate it if you could help me with some questions 1- Do you sell men's niche t-shirts in your store? 2- If so, what approximate percentage of your sales are from men's niche t-shirts? 3- In your experience, if I follow your teachings to investigate listings that are selling and create my own, could I generate good profits only with men's niche t-shirts? Thanks in advance 🙏
Congrats on getting back at it! I sell some mens shirts in my store but the vast majority are women's shirts. I'd really recommend not sticking to just one category like that, here is a video I made on the difference between a general store and a niche store. ua-cam.com/video/29_CXYFaVa0/v-deo.html But if you want to do men only, then my favorite way to prove out an idea for a business is to find competitors that have been successful with it. So I'd go find at least 3-5 stores doing the men only niche that have been successful recently. Best of luck!
@@CassiyJohnson You're very kind Thank you so much for your help ❤ Really appreciated 🙏 I will find stores that are being successful doing the men only niche. Best of luck to you too!
Hi Cassey, I'm trying to buy your Calendar and the report and it only takes paypal. I don't have paypal and can't get one. Usually theres a way to pay as guest with PP but it is not giving that option. Is there a way around that? I really want to get these 2 products..
Always another great video!! Just wondering, how do you handle the return process if something goes wrong? Do you do it on your end or do you have to coordinate anything with the printers? Just curious on what that process looks like. Kinda worried on how to handle it if it ever comes up!
You could order a sample of the product you are selling. A certain type of mug for example. It doesn't even have to be blank, so you could order it as a gift... Just make sure to take mockup photos you're happy with prior to gifting! If you have access to photoshop or affinity photo (I highly suggest affinity photo since it is a one time payment) you can use a content-aware fill to make the design on the item blank. Then proceed to use the mockup as normal by importing your design file to place on top. I did this with a lot of my early mockups and they came out great! There are many tutorials of how to do this online. Piximperfect is my favorite channel for learning this skill. You could also manipulate mockups you do find to make it look like the exact product you are selling... although that takes a lot of time, effort, and skill to do.
Hi Laura, you can take the mock up from Printify/Printful and upload it to Canva and use the background remover tool then choose a photo background to put it on. I've done this with mugs that have no mock ups and I managed to find a Christmas table and put it on there and it looked good. What product is it?
So let me get this straight.... DON'T just throw a bunch of random "cool" designs out there?? Nah, that can't be right. That's my whole business model lol

Customer placed a order from my store then printify notice that then takecare the shipping and all service but
how can i send money to printify?? For their charge
Hi! You put a debit or credit card on file with printify and they automatically charge you whenever you have an order. Thanks for watching!!
If it was one big order, then yes you have to pay for it upfront before it can be made though.
hi cassiy, do you have a creative fabrica black Friday link? I want to subscribe. I need asap
Hi Cassiy! What happens when your order is "returned to sender" so back to your production site due to an invalid address?
You will double check with your customer that the name and address on file are correct. If anything was wrong then you will need to have them pay I think $8 to ship a new one to the customer. Just reach out to printify once you confirm name and address and they will walk you through the process!
How long is the coupon for premium printify valid for cause I try using it and it saying coupon does not exist
hmmm it should be valid still, please make sure you are typing in all caps CASSIY30 , if that doesn't work then please email me at stopmockandroll@gmail.com a screenshot of it not working and I will get Printify to fix it!
Creative Market is good too but I definitely don't use them as much
I opened my shop about two weeks ago and I can't find my Etsy listings in search results even though I entered the exact title and keywords.
I purchased the calender and it was never sent to my email.
Thank you!
I'm feeling really nervous about starting Christmas designs. It feels daunting and so saturated.
If my conversion is 4 ish, what is the best way to get daily sales up? I'm averaging 2-3 a day.
How do you set up free shipping on all the listings without the $35 minimum purchase that Etsy offers??
These are two separate things, If you want to turn off the $35 and over free shipping that Etsy offers then here are some instructions
If you'd still like to turn off your free shipping guarantee:
On Etsy.com, click the Your Account icon, then click Shop Manager.
Your questions makes sense 😄
Are you taking coaching calls again? I go to your site and it’s not open.
Hi Cassidy,
I hope you are very well 😃
Thank you so much! for sharing such useful videos ❤
You are amazing!
I started watching your videos and I am motivated to work in my Etsy shop that I have abandoned 2 years ago
I have about 250 reviews
I bought the salesamurai subscription with your discount coupon (thanks for that 😃) and later I'll buy the Canva subscription
I would like to focus on listing men's niche t-shirts and I would really appreciate it if you could help me with some questions
1- Do you sell men's niche t-shirts in your store?
2- If so, what approximate percentage of your sales are from men's niche t-shirts?
3- In your experience, if I follow your teachings to investigate listings that are selling and create my own, could I generate good profits only with men's niche t-shirts?
Thanks in advance 🙏
Congrats on getting back at it! I sell some mens shirts in my store but the vast majority are women's shirts. I'd really recommend not sticking to just one category like that, here is a video I made on the difference between a general store and a niche store. ua-cam.com/video/29_CXYFaVa0/v-deo.html
But if you want to do men only, then my favorite way to prove out an idea for a business is to find competitors that have been successful with it. So I'd go find at least 3-5 stores doing the men only niche that have been successful recently. Best of luck!
@@CassiyJohnson You're very kind
Thank you so much for your help ❤
Really appreciated 🙏
I will find stores that are being successful doing the men only niche.
Hi,
How long did it or should it take to make your first sale?
Thanks
it took me two weeks to make my first sale. you have to constantly keep adding to your page and use the right tags and titles!!
Always another great video!! Just wondering, how do you handle the return process if something goes wrong? Do you do it on your end or do you have to coordinate anything with the printers? Just curious on what that process looks like. Kinda worried on how to handle it if it ever comes up!
Hi Kelly! I do have a video on that :) I hope it answers your questions! ua-cam.com/video/J8MVU8OxryM/v-deo.html
I misstyped a variation wrote spory grey 🤣 rofl ... have to delete the whole variation and copy paste the sku's so dumb... cant rename it.
Interested what to do if I can’t find a mock up for the exact product you are selling?
@@amber7058 thank you! 🙏🏻
@@laurahanson999 You're welcome! Good luck on your Print on Demand journey!
Hi Laura, you can take the mock up from Printify/Printful and upload it to Canva and use the background remover tool then choose a photo background to put it on. I've done this with mugs that have no mock ups and I managed to find a Christmas table and put it on there and it looked good. What product is it?
@@janetm.3126 Thanks Janet. I was thinking to do something similar to this, so thanks for the tip!
is 5€ profit good per item? taxes are crazy...
You're looking so healthy chilled and comfortable. Is this because you don't have a boss to answer to? 😁
I haven’t even gotten views 😞, I’m constantly uploading and optimizing my SEO
So let me get this straight.... DON'T just throw a bunch of random "cool" designs out there?? Nah, that can't be right. That's my whole business model lol
LOL you never know you could randomly strike gold with that business model
It is very discouraging.
