  • This time on WhenTheMountainsCall we were a bit closer to home in good old Lancashire. As we finally had some sunshine we were out for an evening walk up Fair Snape Fell.
This is a hill about 30 mins from our house but it's one we can actually see from home in the distance. So it's always a nice hill to do and it has some spectacular views out across North West Lancashire.
On this particular day we had a swarm of paragliders for company! It was good fun watching them as we walked up the hill but it did create a bit of an issue with my planned drone flying. I can't imagine a drone crashing into a paraglider would end particularly well so was very cautious about flying.
Happily though when we were on the top of Fair Snape Fell all of the gliders were off over the edge so it seemed quite safe to fly, plus while I was up there no one shouted at me so that was a bonus.
This is a great little walk if your in Lancashire, it's around 5 miles and has about 400M of assent. So it's a good leg stretched without being overly taxing. We enjoyed our walk and it was nice to finally see some sunshine it what has been a shocking summer for the weather so far.

@@atrampinthehills.841 we live in Blackburn which isn’t very nice, but all these lovely places are only a short drive away, so we are lucky really. Thanks for giving it a watch 😀
