If you are going to deal with hard water stains on your door glass, coffee machine de-scaler solution in a spray bottle (don't breathe it!) works very easily, no scrubbing. But, if you need to work at some spots, 0000 steel wool also works great.
I was vigilant at that as well when I had an awesome custom shower put in, I'd practically scream at anyone using the shower to use the squeegee, Then I fell into depression and feel my shower doors need to be replaced. I'll try this, but so far I've spent gobbs of money trying to remedy this. If I'm successful I'm putting a shower curtain in side with the glass doors.
Thanks for the tip... And recipe for the cleaner ...I just finished scraping all the old caulking off... Of the whole shower stall. . it was a 2 day job... Ugly, messy and tedious....I hate doing it but it's been 6 yrs since we bought the house... We wipe down the glass every time we shower....but it's time....before I re caulk the whole stall I need to get all the soap scum off the glass (2 sides) door and solid surface fabricated quartz walls (2 sides)
So much work to have clean shower glass. I love that you just use baking soda and dawn, that is what I use once a week for a deep clean. And every other day I use an after shower spray before I shower and it cleans so it's not so bad. On the deep cleaning day, I leave the shower for last and I take a nice long shower and do my feet while the door is getting done.
I use a dishwasher sponge with a hollow handle. In the handle I put in equal proportions of vinegar and detergent. I think the detergent just makes the vinegar goey so it sticks to the shower door.
Problem is everyone using that shower has to do similar also the water you have may be better than other areas have...Our water where I live is full of calcium or something because we always end up with hard water marks...Mainly due to not everyone cleaning after themselves.
Dawn Platinum in a spray bottle with water, plus a Scrub Daddy is easier. I do it from inside at the end of a shower. Takes a few seconds. No need for the baking soda or the towel polish.
After cleaning the doors with your favorite cleaner just use pumice powder on a wet scotch bright pad rough side and rub in circles it doesn't need to be that complicated.
Far too much dish soap. Just a tablespoon would’ve been enough. And yes, I agree with lots of people that if everyone using the shower squeegeed immediately after a shower, it would save the glass. But of course one must clean and sanitise the whole shower at least twice a week.
This is not good method. I used this with baking soda mixture and it left white stains on my glass door. I have to use method with Dawn and vinegar it worked.
Our water is so hard you have to wear a helmet when you shower. Squeeeeeeegee that glass! Takes only 30 seconds after your shower. It’ll always look great and none of this frustration.
It was just a part of the mixture I found online! 😁 I’m sure there is some reason for it, if you think of your door as a dirty dish in the sink, it always leaves it shiny and removes the nasty dirt!
Isake liye hum ek product sale krte hai jo glass pe lgta hai clear shield glass protection system jisse lgne ke baad ek permanent bond bn jaata jisse koi bhi chiz glass ke saath react ni krti
Really does vinegar work?…because that didn’t…what else did you use with the vinegar and what type vinegar I think that’s the one thing I haven’t tried yet…everything else still leaves a film just a little fainter…help please
Never and I mean never use hot water directly on the shower door glass. It gets enough thermal damage from you just having a shower. Putting hot water deliberately on shower screen glass will cause thermal damage that looks like hard water spots.

We squeegee our glass after each use. Really helps prevent that build up.

You’re welcome!
I use liquid Barkeepers Friend on the shower doors and it works very very well.
Awesome!!

I live in a hard water state. Try any dishwashing pods. I use 2 . It works miracles.
Hey mate how do you apply?
I wipe my shower down when I'm done with a towel. I've been in this house 3 years and doors still look like new.
Problem is everyone using that shower has to do similar also the water you have may be better than other areas have...Our water where I live is full of calcium or something because we always end up with hard water marks...Mainly due to not everyone cleaning after themselves.
I'm glad not everyone does, otherwise I couldn't charge 180 to clean a glass shower unit

Might try a light scouring pad or very fine steel wool after it dries. Thanks

Cleaning vinegar ( yes there is such a thing). Spray, let sit for several minutes. Wipe with 0000 steel wool. Rinse. Much easier.
Good to know!
Use BioClean Hard Water Remover... a hand towel... no scrubbing... super simple.
Will definitely try it. Thanks!
Could you just dilute the mixture and apply with a spray bottle? You'd get many bottles!
It wouldn't be as abrasive if she did that it looks like a rubbing compound similar to tooth paste.
I love 💕 your hard work ... How long time take you clean just the glass doors?? Thank you for share.
I'm going to try this I have tried many no change
Great Job...
Thanks for the info..
Awsome job but do you use a squigy or wet down the shower before hand sorry new to the cleaning industry
You can also use soft scrub ( liquid comet) and a no scratch scrubber then wipe with microfiber clothes. It will sparkle!!
You have done excellent work.
Thank you!!
This is not good method. I used this with baking soda mixture and it left white stains on my glass door. I have to use method with Dawn and vinegar it worked.
Try Stone & Glass Scrub from StonePro! Will remove hard water deposits from glass, marble, travertine, granite, etc
@@luisaaguilar9151 thank you for sharing!
Hi, what product did you spray before wiping with tissue?
Sprayway Glass Cleaner
I have heard baking soda and vinegar do not go well together??
I hate shower glass!
Yup Will try thank u for sharing
This is waaaaay too long. If you use a hand held shower, you could spray it off than wipe it.
I always squeegee after every shower.
I'm going to buy one
@@mitch5077 It will cut your time. I have extremly hard water where I live. If you squeege after every shower. You won't have to scrub so much.
@@Sandy-xj8nm I did initially, then depression set in from my wifes passing.

Pink paste. No mixing. Old school product and oil based, people and animal safe. Home Depot…

is there a reason for using Dawn dish detergent?

@@countycooking_withdanae okay thank you~!
It is a great degreaser which is the biggest offender in soap scum

Dawn dish soap, epsom salt & baking soda
You look like Alicia Keys😆. Thanks btw so helpful👍
This can be done so much easier just with spraying vinegar on 😅
I've tried vinegar but it's not enough for really bad buildup

Yes old old trick

PUMI STONE WITH WATER AND A LITTLE DAWN……
I fell asleep. You need shower hose. That’s too much hard work 😢
I love everything about my shower, happy with what it does and doesn’t have 💜

No, it wouldn't. The bowl can be cleaned.
