In the House of M, Wolverine remembers his past, all his past. It was not really a way out for the writer, rather a really great reason for the story to take a turn back to normality. Think about it.

The house of M is One of the best stories ever told not just one of the best comics the stories ever told because is the only instance of not just giving one person what they want but giving every person what they want. It is pure genius.

Idk if she has a reason to since her and vision didn't have kids, and she seems to be handling it very well. But there's no reason she can't* be romantic with someone else or manipulated by Mutants/Magneto down the line. This I feel will be the end of the Next Phase, she ties into both the X-Men and Avengers and can make/create a powerful crossover. Edit: Also I think she's a chance at a some more multiple reality/reset with other beings that can warp reality like Franklin Richards or Molecule Man
Always love the way Dr. Strange explained Wanda's powers. The mutant power of magic without the time and wisdom that comes from studying magic for years. I would think this is why she calls it chaos magic.
Imagine Elizabeth Olsen delivering this iconic line “no more mutants” with the appropriate accent of course. This would be a classic movie scene just like Thanos with the infinity gauntlet snapping 50% out of existence. So many great stories in marvel comics that the MCU can use.

The 80s and 90s were really the best years for X-MEN. Inferno, X-Tinction Agenda, X-Cutioner's Song, Fatal Attractions and Phalanx Covenant are definitely some of the best.

Such a great story. Watching Wanda have a mental break and then just go ballistic and eliminate not only most of the mutants in her universe but the multiverse. That's what you call a powerhouse. Thank you so much for this! Yes, I came over here after several big reveals on WandaVision episode 7 and the knowledge that Elizabeth Olsen committed to this series based on "House of M." I started reading X-Men with the issue with Cyclops walking away down the road after the death of Jean Grey. I immediately had to go back and buy up all the back issues of the entire Phoenix saga. Jean Grey as the Phoenix was my all-time favorite character. I followed the title closely throughout much of the Chris Claremont era. "Days of Future Past" and the introduction of Rachael Summers was absolutely wonderful. Then they brought Jean Grey back from the dead and said she wasn't really the Phoenix after all. I simply couldn't buy it and I dropped the title. You've really helped fill in what I've missed since then.

I think it was during the civil war presstour that she said in an interview that doing House Of M with her giving birth to twins in a fantasyworld would be like a dreamstory for her and while Wandavision of course wasn't 100% House of M just as a show, it kept central parts of House of M from the fantasy world within the hex, to giving birth to twins with Vision as their father to some similarities with lines. Like I think I remember Dr. Strange saying during House of M "It's all Pietro" when he figured out what was going on and in Wandavision it was Monica who said that line but instead it was "It's all Wanda." So yeah elizabeth is a huge comicfan and especially of the Scarlet Witch

David acosta First of all, singling out “Japan, Korea and China” shows latent racism, as if the West doesn’t do plastic surgery? Another, BTS doesn’t actually fit the description you laid out. They’re at the top of K-Pop now precisely because they don’t conform to the common abusive/plastic culture. Their label promotes healing through music which is present in all of their songs and content. I can’t say the same for the other groups though but BTS is different. Their songs have a lot of social and political commentary. I urge you to do your research instead of being prejudiced.
@David acosta i'm a 26 yr old BTS stan (aka ARMY) & a marvel nerd! i respect your opinion but if you'd truly taken time to get to know BTS you'd realize that they r entirely different from the rest of their Korean music peers...the only thing that tarnish their image for folks like you is their tag called "Kpop" but their music is more than just Pop...their music is heavily hip hop based with some Rock/edm& pop influence...& unlike many bands they make their own music & have creative control..their company doesn't control them...mainly because it was BTS the group who single handedly raised their company from rags to riches..their company Bighit Entertainment was under bankruptcy when BTS signed their contract with them...it was a group effort & they put their blood, sweat & tears to be where they r now..it wasn't slavery, it wasn't given to them in a silver plate, they didn't have to undergo any plastic surgery like many idols go through because of societal pressure, they were a rebellious group because of that they'd get hate & some of the members wud get called ugly because of their natural look from their own people (from korea)...it was sheer hard work & talent that let them rise above hate ..& most of their music is not some teeny bop love/breakup song like most bands now a days make...the reason why they have this much reach despite the language barrier is that they talk about real issues through their music...like Unemployment, Youth suicide, depression, oppression of government, female empowerment, mental illness, self love & acceptance etc...not all boy bands make music about such serious topics! i kindly request you to do some extra search about BTS on youtube about their back story which are easy to find. When I started picking up a title here and there, and I saw Sunspot's "new look". 🤔🤨🙄 "Here they go again!" I had the same reaction to Monet. She was CLEARLY a Black woman for YEARS! Her little sisters, Claudette and Nicole, were drawn as little Black girls with their hair in afro puffs! Their brother, Marius, depicted as a mutated version of a Black man with dreadlocks. Next thing I know, Monet is looking like she's Indian. WTF?!? I think I saw a depiction of Marius also significantly "de-Blacked". I agree with ending the random race swapping of establiahed characters, and putting more shine on already established Black characters.
You are so great at showing the nuances of the storytelling, the subtext and how great these writers are. The tools they use, and maybe inspiring aspiring ,budding writers to be better. You definately make me a better stoyteller( I'm a screenplay and short story writer, been doing it for over a decade with little sucess but I'm on the verge). I hope you keep doing this for years to come. Your love of these stories is just how I've felt about them for over forty years. I wish you could be a consultant for the MCU.

Everytime I hear this I wonder why the surviving mutants never came after her. Some didn't want their powers obviously and others adapted to them in an anti-mutant climate. But I am surprised there were no reprisals for what the Scarlet Witch did. From any of the surviving 198 mutants including the X-Men.
You know, wolverine could easily be the peak of human strength and speed when you realize how muscle is grown in the human body. When you work out, muscles are torn and pulled apart and the space in-between heals into new muscle growing your muscles overall. With wolverines healing powers, he would essentially see instant results from his work outs and wouldn't tire so he could just keep going, and going, and going. That is a dumbed down version of how the body works but the idea still holds.

ive watched this over a year ago, and on the 2nd time through i really appreciate your thorough yet digestable explanations, especially how you connect the dots of the different plotlines, crossover events from 50 years ago and how they impact storyline's from various writers, attist, etc. i could go on, but yeah, I'll condense all that down to two words. Idk if she has a reason to since her and vision didn't have kids, and she seems to be handling it very well. But there's no reason she can't* be romantic with someone else or manipulated by Mutants/Magneto down the line. This I feel will be the end of the Next Phase, she ties into both the X-Men and Avengers and can make/create a powerful crossover.
Edit: Also I think she's a chance at a some more multiple reality/reset with other beings that can warp reality like Franklin Richards or Molecule Man

Personally i think because he regenerates, his brain regenerated those neurons for him to remember his life.
But really, it's just a plot device and i doubt there was ever a real explanation.

Thank you so much for this! Yes, I came over here after several big reveals on WandaVision episode 7 and the knowledge that Elizabeth Olsen committed to this series based on "House of M."
I started reading X-Men with the issue with Cyclops walking away down the road after the death of Jean Grey. I immediately had to go back and buy up all the back issues of the entire Phoenix saga. Jean Grey as the Phoenix was my all-time favorite character.
I followed the title closely throughout much of the Chris Claremont era. "Days of Future Past" and the introduction of Rachael Summers was absolutely wonderful.
Then they brought Jean Grey back from the dead and said she wasn't really the Phoenix after all. I simply couldn't buy it and I dropped the title.
You've really helped fill in what I've missed since then.

I think it was during the civil war presstour that she said in an interview that doing House Of M with her giving birth to twins in a fantasyworld would be like a dreamstory for her and while Wandavision of course wasn't 100% House of M just as a show, it kept central parts of House of M from the fantasy world within the hex, to giving birth to twins with Vision as their father to some similarities with lines. Like I think I remember Dr. Strange saying during House of M "It's all Pietro" when he figured out what was going on and in Wandavision it was Monica who said that line but instead it was "It's all Wanda."
So yeah elizabeth is a huge comicfan and especially of the Scarlet Witch

@David acosta i'm a 26 yr old BTS stan (aka ARMY) & a marvel nerd! i respect your opinion but if you'd truly taken time to get to know BTS you'd realize that they r entirely different from the rest of their Korean music peers...the only thing that tarnish their image for folks like you is their tag called "Kpop" but their music is more than just Pop...their music is heavily hip hop based with some Rock/edm& pop influence...& unlike many bands they make their own music & have creative control..their company doesn't control them...mainly because it was BTS the group who single handedly raised their company from rags to riches..their company Bighit Entertainment was under bankruptcy when BTS signed their contract with them...it was a group effort & they put their blood, sweat & tears to be where they r now..it wasn't slavery, it wasn't given to them in a silver plate, they didn't have to undergo any plastic surgery like many idols go through because of societal pressure, they were a rebellious group because of that they'd get hate & some of the members wud get called ugly because of their natural look from their own people (from korea)...it was sheer hard work & talent that let them rise above hate ..& most of their music is not some teeny bop love/breakup song like most bands now a days make...the reason why they have this much reach despite the language barrier is that they talk about real issues through their music...like Unemployment, Youth suicide, depression, oppression of government, female empowerment, mental illness, self love & acceptance etc...not all boy bands make music about such serious topics! i kindly request you to do some extra search about BTS on youtube about their back story which are easy to find. You don't have to love their music (if it's not your taste) to respect their work & what they stands for.

When I started picking up a title here and there, and I saw Sunspot's "new look". 🤔🤨🙄 "Here they go again!" I had the same reaction to Monet. She was CLEARLY a Black woman for YEARS! Her little sisters, Claudette and Nicole, were drawn as little Black girls with their hair in afro puffs! Their brother, Marius, depicted as a mutated version of a Black man with dreadlocks.
Next thing I know, Monet is looking like she's Indian. WTF?!? I think I saw a depiction of Marius also significantly "de-Blacked". I agree with ending the random race swapping of establiahed characters, and putting more shine on already established Black characters.
Thanks for doing this. Have a hard time finding all the relevant comics for this story and then finding the time to read them. Great work.

You are so great at showing the nuances of the storytelling, the subtext and how great these writers are. The tools they use, and maybe inspiring aspiring ,budding writers to be better. You definately make me a better stoyteller( I'm a screenplay and short story writer, been doing it for over a decade with little sucess but I'm on the verge). I hope you keep doing this for years to come. Your love of these stories is just how I've felt about them for over forty years. I wish you could be a consultant for the MCU.

Everytime I hear this I wonder why the surviving mutants never came after her. Some didn't want their powers obviously and others adapted to them in an anti-mutant climate. But I am surprised there were no reprisals for what the Scarlet Witch did. From any of the surviving 198 mutants including the X-Men.

You know, wolverine could easily be the peak of human strength and speed when you realize how muscle is grown in the human body. When you work out, muscles are torn and pulled apart and the space in-between heals into new muscle growing your muscles overall. With wolverines healing powers, he would essentially see instant results from his work outs and wouldn't tire so he could just keep going, and going, and going. That is a dumbed down version of how the body works but the idea still holds.
