absolute cinema
this is high level of cinema
great storytelling without any words! love it
words can't easily describe how I felt watching this, but the slight tear in my eye might be enough.
The talent for visual storytelling is through the roof
I absolutely love how expansive the world feels, the sets don't really extend that far but they feel so rich and full of life, amazing work as always!
Holy fuck; thats my favorite Brickfilm of 2024. Incredible work, Sully!
Wtf you keep putting together such simple stories but the endings have me in complete shock... love the music, pacing, and omg the choice of perspective for each scene is beautiful. Do not stop making these.
Sully you are so talented with these films. Amazing work!!
The most emotional brickfilm i've ever seen😢
Fwippen amazing!!!
This is incredibly well made! I love the opening shots when the song starts, especially the one of the power lines. Great entry!
I don't know how made this level of emotion possible with lego, but you did, in a rather simple and elegant style as well!! Great work bro!!
This is one of those brickfilms that is so excellent I will return to it countless times for reference. Absolutely sublime cinematography, set design, and editing. Bravo!
We got a winner here folks!!!!
Called it
This is awesome, everything about it is just so cool. The lighting especially spoke to me, well done!
This is insane lightning and cinematography really tells a story
That was stunning! Every shot just beautiful and telling the story in such an elegant way. Little bits of animation like the kiss on the cheek and the shaking hand stand out in how naturalistic they feel. You make the limitations of the minifig disappear.
I genuinely love it! A complete road movie in 2m36s. I'm enthralled. So many subtleties in there. You just nailed the vibes of the song with your great story telling.
Beautiful, incredible, amazing
This is beautiful stuff man. The animation is great, I really love the retro design of the gas pump, house, and cars, and using the LEGO hands as clothespins is so clever. Something I really only noticed on my second watch was how the lady would flinch or look away every time there was a gunshot which I think was a great set up for why she made the mistake she did by the end of the film. Seriously great work and keep it up!
I love everything about this.
WHAT?! Dude, that's nuts.
I also don't know if this was intentional, but I love the scratched up head for the guy, like they're some scars he had as a kid or he's just got some rough skin from shaving with a bad razor or something, but it's a great detail as he goes off the rails so that the outside matches what's inside.
Haha, thank you! I like using the old-school faceprints, but I didn't notice how rough this one was until I put it under my macro lens and started animating, lol. I kinda thought it looked like some old scars as well, so I'm glad it works for you!
This is so well done. You have such a great understanding of lighting and composition - I love all the subtle choices you make to tell a story almost entirely with the visuals, in a way that so perfectly complements the song here! Amazing work as always :)
What a beautifully tragic brickfilm Sully! Good luck in the contest!
This was awesome! I actually felt emotions lol. The lighting, the subtle animation this is just incredible.
Amazing 👏👏👏🤩
This is absolutely gorgeous! I love this song so to see someone use it in a brickfilm is so cool! The story is so well told through your use of animation, cinematography, and editing! Incredible job with what you did here!
Thank you so much, Chaizin, I really appreciate it! 🖤 And yesss, I've loved this song for years; awesome to hear that you're a fan as well!
@@SullivanManning Congratulations on winning first place!
This is absolutely beautiful
This is incredible. Amazing work!
Your use of lighting and camera framing is so good. Really enjoyed watching this.
Wow! That was sweet!!
this is like actual perfection
This is insane. you're insane. this is way too good lol, amazing.
wow (that’s all I can say
Maybe it’s weird to compare this to some other media, but the relationship shown here really reminds me of the couple in the first episode of Cowboy Bebop.
Oh man, I'll never turn down a comparison to Cowboy Bebop!
