3:28 , Takes me back to the summer of 2006 when a bunch of random high-rank players helped a 10 year old get a full set of guild knights armor. We were literal pioneers man, sleep-bombing, flash-bomb cheesing, headlocking, just finding it out on our own :/ Take me back.
Back in those days, teamwork and preparation were the strongest weapons. It still kinda is but it’s a lot harder to make properly work these days compared to back then. Items were so powerful. Four coordinated hunters with the proper items could absolutely melt monsters of old. Especially Diablos and Monoblos. You could wait for them to go underground, stun them with a sonic bomb, have someone wait with a flash bomb for when they jumped out and then knock them out of the air for another stun, then have someone set up a trap while in that second stun to get a third one in a row. Since it was only a pitfall trap back then, you could chain that into a second Flash Bomb I think lol. Add status weapons into that mix and it’s over. Especially if it’s sleep for bombing like you mentioned.
Indeed my friend... all the game drinks I've had with people I nvr met. Yet some of the best times and laughs of my life. It's crazy. So many convos about life. I'd go back in a heartbeat
Thank you so much. This was my getaway from my teenage angst, this game... 2004 seems so long ago now, but it's still fresh in my mind. The Red Lands never die. I remember the announcement of the online play ending... I remember all of us stayed connected as long as we could. The cutoff date was prolonged by a few days or maybe a little more than that, but I remember the screen wigging out because the servers ended. The moment had come, and with no money to invest in a ps2 from Japan to play MH2 I was sad about not getting to enjoy this anymore. At least until the PSP came out with Freedom! 😏
It’s really interesting to pick apart the differences between what the portal team does, and the home console team does. Last night I was just thinking about how the home console team tends to make the gathering hubs much bigger than the portable team. I was wondering if MH1 had multiple music tracks for its gathering hub, since I’ve only heard the track from MHF1. Guess I was right ;). Cant wait for MH6 to hear some new banging Tavern themes
Really appreciate this getting an upload. I used to get entirely captivated by the tavern music in MH1. I'd stay up far too late and drift to sleep listening to the music waiting for people to log in. Some serious nostalgia!
Thank you for uploading this awesome MH Tavern music. But do you maybe know, when and how to get the music ingame at 1:49 to play? It seems that this one never plays for me and i dont know why. Does this need a special unlock?
I believe that track is played when playing with your pig in the high end lodging in the online areas. The other tracks just played in the gathering hall online.
Love to see an upload with all the music from the tavern, all very unique and catchy! Didn't realize Scat Cat Fever was in here too, does it play after a while or do you need to do something different to trigger it?

This right here is why I'll never understand people saying classic mh was so heavily Japan inspired, making mh rise a return to form. It was not. 1:49 oh I'm being swept up and taken to kamura village, everyone!
You sure you’re not just getting it mixed up with people saying Rise’s style is more reminiscent of the JRPG-styled old gens, compared to world which looks more like a western AAA game?

This is nice music. I wish I could have been there in person to hear it.
You can still be there in person to hear it as the PS2 version had been revived and it is been a while.
Wait what I had no idea there were these many songs :o my mh collection is incomplete

As far as I know, this only played in the Japanese version of MH1 within the gathering hall, and was taken out in the English version and in MHG

It has a small chance of playing after you finish the song cycle afaik, was a neat surprise the first time I heard it in game
At 5:14 you can hear a woman clearly speaking in spanish, caught me off guard lol
Go to 1:47 also a spaish guy saying "Abajo hay sitio, Juan". Is this from the spanish version or what? LOL
