Really love the concept of hollows. The traversal use is dynamic and seemless. Switching from walking to swimming then walking on water and finally, launching up in the air.
If you are on PlayStation 4 and you are wondering how you can change hollows (forms) simply press L1 and Triangle or Square or X or Circle. Each button represents one form.
Flame Hollow = Allow Fury to gain Burning strength and Power over Fire. The Counter set enemy in a blaze from Explosion. Fury's hair turned Orange and fiery when using this Hollow. Storm Hollow = Give Fury the energy summon the power over Wind and Thunder. The Counter electrocuted the enemy. Fury'shair turned Yellow and Electrified when using this Hollow. Force Hollow = Giving fury powerful Shockwave Forces & Might. The Counter make them thrown by Force. Fury's hair turned to purple and glow with forces. Stasis Follow = Allow Fury to stopping and slowing down Temporal Time and Freeze the Water. The Counter make the enemy freeze in Stasis. Fury's Hair turned Cyan with Stasis Power.
Idk if you even need to know this anymore or care, but with the storm hollow, the standard counter attack lets you throw your spear at the enemy you dodged. (Unless you use a forward evade, which launches smaller enemies into the air and hurls the spear at them in a spinning twirl.) The counter for the pole arm from keepers of the void dlc is different as it's more of a jumping slam attack. With the storm hollow you can also do a charged attack in the air that throws the weapon directly below you and strikes lightning in an area. I believe it does this for both storm hollow weapons. Otherwise your only consistent thrown weapon is salvation/the crossblade you get from usiel.
whats actually really funny is that there are 4 hollows just like the teenage mutant ninja turtles becuz first the flame hollow is like michalangelo becuz the flails are like his nunchucks and the color is orange, then the storm hollow is like raphael becuz the lance is kinda like a giant sai, then the force hollow is like donatello becuz the hammer is like his staff and the color is purple, and finally the stasis hollow is like leonardo becuz the color is blue and the swords are like his twin katanas:D
If it's LB + Y on the xbox I can only assume it's L1 + Triangle on ps You have to unlock the hollows through story progression first though. First is fire, last is stasis. Good luck

With the Lightning Hollow, you can throw projectiles right? Would you happen to know how?
In ds3 they use “salvation” to throw, you can hold the button in each form to take this power
