Solid! Super Phasor was a great choice, I think phasor is a great addition for the DM sound

So glad to see someone still using individual pedals. I started playing in 1985 and half the fun has always been choosing and sometimes changing out individual pedals. It's so easy with a multi effect unit to add too much processing to your tone. Boss is great. Also really like Analogman for vintage fuzzes.

Have a great tour Matthew! Maybe i catch you guys live somewhere in Europe sometime in future, with my bootleg recording gear of course! I've becomen to rely always on double tracking my vocals, maybe in the future there will be AI pedal for generating real time double, lol. John Lennon always hated his voice and wanted effects added to it, same thing with me one vocal seems always out of tune someway on it's own, but two make a nice chorus and cover each others "mistakes". I've been thinking in the future i would want to find effect to thicken my sound live if i find guys to play my stuff. Maybe some slap back delay tricks or slight chorus. Back in 2016-17 in my old band we used to ask the sound men for that "Elvis delay" few times we got something decent thou usually they would not mess around

Oh and by the way: since I was stupid enough to get the IK 388 plugin bundle before I watched your verdict, it was very usefull last week, after I bounced the individual dry tracks from my 424 to Pro Tools. I used my outboard spring as a reverb on my vocals and acoustic guitar, along with some outboard compression (lightly) and after that, I used the IK 388's EQ section to balance it all out. It does kinda sound good that way. I could've used the 424 EQ, but since the tracks were still dry, I decided to use the IK EQ from the 388 plugin. Maybe also to not feel extremely dumb, haha

Personally, I would ditch the chorus unless I knew it was going out in proper stereo and the sound guy was sending it in stereo too. If I knew I was gonna jam with Dream Machine, and I was filling in on guitar? (And let's pretend I'm not having to strictly reproduce your existing catalog)... The simpler, the better. My thoughts would be on what would integrate best with Doris's kit. I'd lend Doris the Phaser, as I think they're cooler on keys, and kinda "on the nose" for guitar. Priority would be decent sounding speakers in the cab, a decent warm gain source, and if it's one wild card, maybe an octave pedal, just to add occasional punch to lead lines, like Prince used to do. Maybe a general expression pedal, that I would mostly use for volume. (Shrug) ....thanks for the vid! Cheers.

That's great advice! the octave is a great suggestion, I have one but it's really old and does requre batteries or an ACA adapter... I gotta check and see if boss makes a WAZA octave... 🤔

That's a no-nonsense pedals setup, love how you use those slap back delays for the vocals. I'll see (hear) you in April in at Psychfest in Barcelona. Oh Yeah

5:08 I owned all of the first three. I'm such sod... I sold them. I might get the TR-2 back, for I really liked it. I've got a 70's MXR Phase-90 now and an MXR Ed van Halen Flanger. :) I'll stop now, haha. I haven't watched the rest of the video, but I think you're gonna pick the Boss PH-2 Phaser. :)

BONJOUR from... well... where you're stationed at now, whaha! :P 1:28 So, you're using the Waza Craft version of this pedal? I used to have second thoughts about the WC pedals, but after hearing them in person, I changed my mind. They sound 98% the same and can also do more. Anyway, two original DM-2's sound slightly different from one another as well, so... Glad you're making videos like this again, I missed them, haha. I recently got a vintage Boss CE-2 MIJ and in the past, I owned a MIT CE-2. To my ears, they sound the same, but... I'm finishing up my solo album, which's got some CE-2 on there at points on my guitar and I'm planning on doing a little tour, but for my live rig, I decided upon getting the Waza Craft version, because it's stereo and can also do the CE-1 sound (sorta) that I got from a (very good, I've gotta say) plugin in the past. All I've gotta do is flick a switch and dial it in quickly. So, I'm covered, haha. Anyway, gonna watch the rest of the video now. :D
PS. Good to see you're night owls as well, just like me, haha. In the past, I wouldn't know because of the time differences between the Netherlands and the US, haha.

I've got a newer MIM (Malaysia) Boss SD-1 and I absolutely LOVE it!! I don't know how it compares to a vintage SD-1, but I'm more than happy with this reissue. :)

Have you tried a g1 danelectro cool cat fuzz? It's my favorite fuzz. It doesn't have that sputter most fuzzes have. I believe the smashing pumpkins have had similar issues with fuzz and band mix. I wonder if having a fuzz with a clean mix would work for your live sound.

You can get a 9 volt battery adapter cable with a barrel end to connect your MXR to a power supply.

The Dimension-C also has a Waza version apparently! Also, there is supposed to be a 5th setting, by unselecting the buttons it still has a subtle chorus effect, but i'm not sure if its there on the old version of the pedal!
