We tried the Shettles method to sway for a baby girl after having 2 boys. I conceived on month 1 but miscarried within a week, 2 more attempts and I was pregnant again which stuck.
I’ve always had regular predictable cycles so I knew when I ovulated, it was made even easier using OPK’s and temperature tracking.
We stuck to the method completely, until one random month my body decided to ovulate early which meant that we had sex right on the day of ovulation. Oops! If Shettles method was accurate then that oopsie would have meant i’d have a boy. 38 weeks and 1 day later and our sweet baby Girl was born 🙂

I tried the baby dust method with my third but wasn’t able to get pregnant at all with the large gap between BD and O. After 8 months we stopped the method and the next cycle I got pregnant with my third boy. I’m not sure if maybe my husbands sperm just don’t live long enough to make it to the egg unless it’s right before O. All my boys were conceived the day before or day of ovulation.
Seemed to work three times for me. I knew I was ovulating by a pain in my side. We weren’t trying but my cycle was early I think because I lost weight. We used natural rhythm but the last “ safe day wasn’t “ safe. Three beautiful unexpected girls.

When you say you got your big positive ovulation test on the 22nd, does it mean you got bright two red lines in the ovulation strip? Sorry, just trying to understand

So just coming back to update, I'm currently 10 weeks along. Had a SneakPeek test done at 7 weeks came back GIRL!! Praying that SneakPeek was right I go in for NiPT test this weeks to confirm 💕

Premom ovulation tests strips :) there’s an app you can use to scan them in also!!

My ovulation was off when I conceived, I conceived 3 days after doing the deed. I’m hoping it’s a girl! All the research I have done says it’s a good a chance that the girl sperm was left.

What months do females have their ovulation or y’all have them different days?
I want to start tracking my period next month then start trying for a baby girl
Yay! Wishing you all the best! The book does say to track for 3 months so that you can get a better idea of ovulation date. This was the hardest thing for me is my ovulation date was so different every month because I had such irregular periods. Please come back and keep me updated on your journey!
