Many rightfully protest dolphins military use but I would argue it is still far more humane than if put into a Seaworld like environment. Firstly they are often exposed to open swimming in a real marine environment (and microbiome). They are intelligent enough to possibly comprehend their specific tasks as a challenge and not for show. They would not be subject to the excessive noise and badgering involved with entertainment spectacles. Heard that at least in the US, they are periodically allowed to leave during a period to mate and most return.
These dolphins are not just ur typical bottle nosed dolphins, these are yankee bottle nosed dolphins, that means they are elite, these things will take down killer whales and great whites on the way to the mines, they are as tough as nails, believe me they dont mind their job at all, tracking down communist mines
The funny thing is that dozens of Western media shouted at the Russians when they noticed a beluga with instruments on its back in the Atlantic. Everyone shouted that it was a spy beluga, when in fact the Russians installed it for the sake of tracking the population and habitat. When the US Navy uses dolphins for publicly known purposes, everyone prefers to plug their ears and not notice. Double standarts.
@@trugssgogorf6371 interesting. However they do often lie or misrep in media statements for image.
Why do you say "rightly"? You're asserting an opinion as a real fact. From what I've seen, a lot of protestors are really knowledgeable on what they think the problem is, and really ignorant about the actual process.
I would argue that we shouldn't put dolphins in either situation. We could try to stop all forms of animal cruelty instead of rating them. The only argument for using dolphins for military tasks (like mine retrieval) is cost. It's cheaper to train dolphins than use autonomous underwater vehicles.
3 kill streak! Dolphin ready for deployment
😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣
Bruh 😂
war dolphins
Activision: “WRITE THAT DOWN RIGHT NOW!!!”
Would be sick if they added a mission on call of duty where your working with the dolphins lol
It's look like allied dolphin in red alert 2.
came here just for this comment. lol
Litreally thought the same thing good game btw
Thank u
I thought I was the only one thinking of that lol
I want an army of dolphins with freakin lazer beams on their heads!!!
THE RICHWINE read my mind 🤣 from Austin powers
It's all fun and games until they turn on us. Have you learned nothing from the Simpsons? The high pitched happy noises heard, he was actually saying 100% verbatim, "Dumb humans, your love for us will actually lead to your demise, they will never SEA us coming. BWAHAHAHAHA"
True story, I took Dolphin 2 years in college.
Arm the laser
I didn’t know they hunted for mines, they probably could be made into warriors too lol
Hilarious
They have military Dolphins :I
Even kamikaze mode dolpins to kill enemy scuba divers.
@Larry M not if the frog men have already been eaten :0
yep, and t-shirts... no, really google it
@@eplanti t-shirts??
They have military dogs, how is that any different?
its official, the navy now has sea puppers to look for mines

Relateable

Where does the Navy keep dolphins?

In the dolphinery
San Diego
Probably San Diego Long Beach or San Francisco for east coast I won’t know either that or it is classified
Atlantis
Thanks for uploading. Thumbs up!
That's some awesome technology!
That is interesting!
"Yea, how about we train dolphins to hunt mines." "Great idea."
It is I agree comrade
That is so awesome and I loved it xxx
Real-life Red Alert Dolphin Units...
Dolphin gets so much free fish and gets hassled by less sharks. It's a win/win situation. 🦈💦
dolphins don't get hassled by shark
Actually sharks are afraid of dolphins, dolphins are well well known to kill sharks by out maneuvering and ramming the sharks in the gills making them drown to death.
That is really cool! I would love to see the training of these Dolphins
I feel like dolphins go through hell to live this life though
They get beat just like in circuses
@@newdawn4389 And you know that because?, Oh yeah that's right everyone is an expert on UA-cam. If you would've just done a little research and not be so fucking ignorant, You would know that they don't get beat.
@@imalexischavez nah the dolphins are free to leave anytime obviously so the navy makes sure the dolphins want to stay
Cerdon damn it’s been 2 years. I think it’s cool now that they can use animals for the military.
Woah that’s really cool actually I’m amazed
That deer is amazing
Most underviewed military video of all time!
Wait, humans are taming dolphins now? This is seriously awesome.
Paraphrasing an interview with an EOD officer from a book I have from the nineties: "This is one instance where technology hasn't caught up with nature. Their biosonar is more useful than some of our most high tech equipment."
This remids me of the movie "Day of the Dolphin" Awesome!
I didnt even know this kind of trained dolphins exist o.o
That is interesting very much!
What's Up US Navy Sailors
Hunting Dolphin sounds challenging 🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬

The Red Alert series is real. We just need Prism & Mirage Tanks now.
Good
Welcome home sailor
the goodest boyo of the sea
I bet the dolphins would be smart enough to activate some kind of button or mental button that could shoot projectiles.
That dolphin seems like he/she'll have no problem starting the 3. world war as long as they serve him/her those God damn delicious fish.
Water Isis: The might of the United States will never find us.
United State: Echo. Charlie. Bravo. The Dolphins have been released.
What's Up US Navy Sailors

So cute
People need to leave animals alone
Hero Dolphins
ดีมาก
Anyone else think that this is super fucking depressing? It's bad enough having people go through the trauma of war, and now we're forcing it onto other mammals?
That dolphin is so happy for the treat, blissfully unaware of the context of its mission.
its not like the dolphin is gonna go through heavy military fitness training and going into a bloody war against orcas or somethin
they are just finding mines and eating treats and living a happy overall life
I think this would be the new Warzone update
I was stationed on uss Dixon at point Loma they were doing this in my term from 1971_1975
so sweet!!!
Iran's worst fear...
RIMPAC is the equivalent of the Cannonball Run. Like just flexing beyond belief. They trained dolphins to detect mine and PROBABLY BOATS(wait till the secret Orca program gets leaked)🤣🤣
Russia has a Nuclear Tsunami Apocalypse Torpedo, and we got fuckin' flipper??
Wow
That's fucking awesome
He's good pet
Watch me plant a mine so that dolphin gets rewarded
PETA: *Heavy breathing*
Imagine having a great white shark with fucking laser guided weapons on bot sides and a fucking schwerer gustav calibre rifled artillery on his head ready to rock and roll
I thought it was RC but thats cool
I didn’t know jelly fish made noises like that 0:21
That's a funny looking torpedo
They keep em in Miami, home of the Dolphins 🤔😁 (San Diego)
Call Of Duty's newest killstreak Dolphin.
Karl Pilkington proven somewhat correct once again.
_Hey Found A Mine!_
*BOOM!*
fuck they finally weaponized dolphins
"I was inverted."
This is fucked up. Not the dolphins fight.
Amaestrada y punto juajuajua!
Hopefully they don't have to trip the mines too. That would be cruel
Having All these technologies and top class weapons and still defeated by Afghan Taliban. Lol
A weapon that can surpass metal gear
I love dolphins. I sure hope that they never have to be used in actual combat.
Joe M Thanks!
they never will.. unless they know how to manipulate or take down ships
lol
💯
You think this is impressive?
Pfft.
That dolphin got 5 fish, which means it's also a skilled negotiator.
Les gros poissons au service de la défense contre l Avenir 😀😁😂

No, they will sent them to hunt mines lol
reminds me of red alert 2
Жестоко.
THIS clip as with other marine systems should NOT BE RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a good underwater drone would be cheaper
Did you ask him if he wanted to do that first 😳 !?... And did you TELL him WHAT he'd be doing🙁? I mean, as long he bottleKNOWS WHAT he's gettn himself into..... (HighRiskJobs😣, Selling himself for fish & Country...?) make sure to tell um "Thank You for your Service" and that goes Full Heartedly for Everyone around here 🙏🇺🇲🇨🇦 umm etc. Yep!
At first I thought this was cool, the more I thought about the more fucked up i realized it is to use dolphins like this
they get free fish
win win
