Thank you for talking about painting miniatures in a realistic fashion. Sometimes I get discouraged by reddit because people post such badass looking models. I'm happy my 30 minute ork will still be appreciated :)
My two biggest fears r.e. Orks is having to paint hundreds of models, and trying to convince people to let me play with scratch-built and kitbashed vehicles. You've helped to assuage the first fear today.
if you email judges for big events before hand, most people love wild ork shit and will let you run whatever as long as it's WYSIWYG/the right size. RTTs can be more random, because you never know who's gonna be in charge, but i feel like local stores are usually nice and as long as you ask ahead of time and your models look good. Non GW run GTs and majors are fine with it too. good luck either way!
I know this is an old video but for anyone painting orks using militarum green instead of ork flesh for the skin looks a bit less cartoony. It's definitely nice to see videos with how to paint something decent quick.
Painted my Orks with oils. Fantastic, really fun blending, easy error correction, very quick paint processes. Needs a few days of drying and then a varnish coat afterwards, but the painting itself is a lot easier and faster.
I managed a similar setup where I spent 30m per boy and honestly it's kept me sane. They look good and you improve as you learn how to paint faster, so every boy looks better than the last!
To differentiate squads, I like to use different patterns around the base edges. Checkers, dags, in different colours or directions. That way I can just do everything whichever colour I want on the models and sort them out later.
they are, that's why it took me so long to paint them. they have a ton of little details that makes them hard to batch paint. i feel like trying to come up with a limited color solution is the best way to get them done in a reasonable amount of time
This is the video that I found you through, then I went back and watched your Mek Dred vid. This one's even bigger than the first. Still great quality and super fun. You're picking up speed dude. Keep it rolling. Gonna reiterate about pateron and stuff. Getting you money for doing this means that you can do it bigger, better, and more often. I dunno if that's something you're super into the idea, but I am, and I guarantee that plenty of the thousand people who've seen this video feel the same way.
hey i think you're right, i made a dang patreon. literally you commenting is the reason why this happened so if this channel ever takes off thank you: www.patreon.com/billiondollarclownfarm?fan_landing=true
@@billiondollarclownfarm Consider yourself sponsored. Not sure I'll be able to stay long, considering the medical treatment I'll need after all the enamel paint you're convincing me to use, but I'd love to see more from you.
@@Ninjat126 i cant promise for how long because i am currently in an intensive care hospice for alzheimers treatement, but there will for sure be more as long as i have enough brain cells to paint orks. thank you for your support
I stopped procrastinating about how to make my orks perfect whilst not painting them, started painting & got some good results. Takes me about 3 hours to paint 1 ork boy though. I find posing them annoying so magnetised the arms.
I'm preparing mentally to do this now. I've done it before, I have 120 night goblins, this just getting me into the right frame of mind; ready to work but also not giving quite as many fucks as you usually would. I've been procrastinating by painting characters which is a weird sentence.
I have 5000 points of orks i need to paint up. a third of them I decided to paint them to look like ghosts to be used in AOS and 40k. but i do have a huge amount of boyz and nobz i have stripped and preparing to paint up the "normal" way. thank you for your video
This video re-ignited my love for painting warhammer
let's paint warhammer

did not expect to hear The Body playing in the background 10/10

triyng to use my 10” battlewagon built with a historical landship
Finally, a Warhammer video with good music in the background
Perfect music choice. Bolt Thrower will forever be the sound of 40k to me.

This is, without a doubt the best ork painting video on UA-cam.
I started painting 140 ork Boyz 10 months ago, but I didn't see this video until today.. . I've about 10 of the bastards fully painted.
Love the Stormboyz scheme, just got an airbrush so I'll be giving that a go. I too found them pretty intimidating as they are quite intricate!

I’m planning on making an ork army in the future, this will help a lot, thank you!
Love the death metal tho along with your work
This is my favorite ork boy related video ever. Thank you.

Hell yeah !
Bolt Thrower is just fitting so well with orks !
I'll put some right now while painting my nobs.
if every video i put bolt thrower in didn't immediately get flagged, bolt thrower would be in every video
My favorite video from you to the present by far! I have a lot of Boyz and Nobz to paint and this info will help tremendously!
Does it beat VR chat Ghaz? Definitely a good tabletop quality painting vid though,
Just got a ton of Orks and found your channel. Great ideas, going to to test out a few of them.
Going to try to replicate this for my Kroot army. Thanks!
lol
wait are you actually that's rad if so
Love the soundtrack!!

How did you paint the skin on the fancy boyz squad? Can you make a tutorial?

This guy gets how it feels to love and hate orks in the same breath
it's all love
thank you i got a few orks to paint they are itching for battle against the blood angels.
love this! i'm kinda bummed i started doing a color scheme that includes NO contrast paints, because they really help the model and save time.
Loved the video! Now I really wanna paint some Orks xD
Coming to this video after getting 900 points of orkz for Christmas, I'm getting ready to waste 6 months just on Boyz
As much as I wanna do this now, I’ve already painted a quarter of my orks to a level of detail that takes about 2 hours per Ork… can’t stop now…
Props for Bolt Thrower.
awesome video man, really dig the bolt thrower tunes! keep it going...WAAAAAAGH!!!!
Love your intro :"this one is mine" :) :) :)
Thumbs up for Bolt Thrower.
This is going to be painful for me since I'm new to painting and feel like I need to get every detail perfect, but it will be necessary

Been there, got the t shirt.
I'm a survivor. #metoo.
Instructions unclear: I ended up covered in Warboss Green and I smashed my Boyz to bits 🤷🏻
This video helped me not kill everyone in my house, wait, they're dead? Oh well :)
The corpse paint army marry me

They're boyz. They don't need to be pretty, they need to be a lot.
