And also my favorite Kalani dance. She was amazing. I can't even y'all. It was perfect.

@@RandomClip726 I know this is old, But.. yes. i was happy they were replaced. Kelly was trying to leave the show since the 2nd season. Paige was taking panic attacks, it was unhealthy for them. Even if it meant a fight, At least they got to leave.
@@anthonyateYOUup I understand what you are saying. I'm glad that you want them to leave so that they can like- be free from Abby's suffering but Paige and Brooke were one of my fav dancers on the show.. it was heartbreaking to see them leave.

Um no. Chloe was no where near as good as Kalani and she doesn’t have good enough Technique, Fluidity, Flexibility, and turns to do this duet.
@@panda_girl7507 Chloe had the ability to pull off this duet. Ofcourse she is nowhere near Kalani's abilities but this duet was just basic beautiful lyrical choreography which Chloe would be beautiful in.

@@jaidatuggle3987 I find it very funny the way that Chloe fans put her on a pedestal, because she was the perfect and poorly treated girl on the show, to the point where you think she is so much better than all the other dancers and that she can dance all kinds of dance. In the first and second season, Chloe really had a better technique than Maddie, but it was the only thing she was better at, in the rest they were on the same level, sometimes one stood out other times the other stood out, but over the seasons, Chloe regressed and at that time she was no longer on the same level as Maddie.
This duet is amazing..but the same time horrible because it broke a close friendships ,trust and a such a beautiful souls..it divided 2 pure soul...like if u agree

Olivia Parker Actually, the producers enter this and told them last minute. Abby barely even knew. It was all for drama, and it’s created a lot of it.
cloudyxskies the competition only allowed dances that had been entered days before the actual competition, the girls had there costume, the music was ready, and kalani had to come to the competition. there’s also videos of the girls back stage showing they knew earlier then they let on.

Apparently, this piece was be an exhibition piece.
In a competition, there are competition pieces (pieces that actually compete) and exhibition pieces (pieces that are more to just show off).
Maddie knew that her duet with Kalani was entered as an exhibition piece, so she didn’t feel the need to tell Chloe because they wouldn’t actually be competing.
On the day of the competition, Abby told her and Kalani that it was actually a competition piece.
So she didn’t lie, it was a misunderstanding.
Plus, they went to two competitions. Kalani and Maddie performed at the other competition, so it’s obvious that they still had their costumes.

Not really, the reason why everything changed was the attitude of Kelly and Christi about the arrival of Kalani and the duet
Amelia Rose I think if I remember correctly Paige or Brooke (or both) had a duet and there was a rumour going around that Kalani (who was new) and Maddie had a duet. When they asked Maddie, she said no they didn’t have a duet but then in competition they did have a duet and practised it for a while without the others knowing. It was about Maddie lying and also the fact that Abby knew Maddie and kalani’s duet would win over Kelly’s kids. She said that kalani was replacing her kids and Kira started arguing back and Abby got involved and then Kelly ended up hitting Abby and that was when everything started to go downhill because Kelly and her kids left and then Chloe not too long after. This is the duet they didn’t tell anyone they were competing with that day
This duet is undoubtably one of the best pieces choreographed on the show. The synchronicity and trust between Maddie and Kalani are amazing.

i have a love hate relationship with this duet, it was gorgeous dont get me wrong but if abby wasn’t so “desperate for a big win” and entered two sapphires and just let wishbone go out there and win:
• kelly wouldn’t have got in the fight with abby
• brooke, paige and kelly wouldn’t have left
• christi and chloe probably wouldn’t have left
• maddie and chloe would probably still be friends
True but good thing the lukasiak and the zieglers made up
kelly would probably leave after season 4 either way. abby clearly didn’t want them there and kelly has been wanted to leave since season 1. it was a good time for them to leave because the treatment they got was terrible
I doubt they’re on bad terms anymore after all these years (the girls)

Even though this dance was one of the dances that broke dance moms. I believe there is another dance more to blame and that is Beautiful Revenge which was the group dance for this episode, the whole fight was started from Kelly pushing abby to replace her kids in the group dance.
I feel like Abby put this duet in so Paige and Chloe didn't have a chance with their duet. She's done it before, why wouldn't she do it again? This is a reason why I just absolutely hate Abby, she hurts kids deeply

Kalani is a beautiful dancer but this duet was meant for Maddie and Chloe
Abby wanted a winning number, and she had WISHBONE! This duet is lovely don’t get me wrong, but it’s just annoying how much faith abby doesn’t have in some of these kids😭 if they didn’t do this duet or Abby maybe would of said something at the beginning of the week this wouldn’t have happened💔
Maddie wouldn’t have lied to Chloe which led to their friendship being tarnished literally forever and Melissa and Christi wouldn’t have been that hatful to each other that season. Christi wouldn’t have left because in the s7 interview she said “if someone had my back at nationals I wouldn’t have left.” And Kelly would fight for her! They may have not stayed still S7 but they stayed for awhile!😭 this is why everyone called this duet “the dance that broke dance moms” and I agree💔

I’m sick of hearing “Maddie lied to Chloe” no she didn’t . The producers told Melissa to not tell anyone including Maddie that the duet was happening so Maddie didn’t know . When Chloe asked Maddie she asked in the studio and Maddie didn’t find out about it until they got to the comp . I feel bad for Chloe too but Maddie never lied . Just because you like Chloe doesn’t mean you need to hate on Maddie for being the fave she can’t help it .

No she didn't. Abby mentioned that she might put this duet into the competition. She told it to nobody. So nobody knew about this duet, except Melissa and Maddie. It's not Maddie's or Melissa's fault

If you want more info you can watch the newest dance moms uncovered (it's a series on UA-cam). Maddie lied but you all aren't gonna admit it.Even if maddie got to know about the duet an hour before they went on stage, she flat out said NO to chloe. Also where did they get the costume from?

Huge unpopular opinion but this duet deserved to win and the dancing was better then wishbone it was beautiful and so was wishbone but this once was better (IN DANCING WISE)

I just noticed how at the end (during the last turn) Kalani’s skirt got caught/stuck on the top piece, look at the ending pose and the walk exiting the stage.. and Abby never said a word about it

Weird but I love Kalani's facial expressions when she dances ❤ she puts so much emotion and passion into ensuring her facial expressions match the dance. Between that and her beautiful dancing ability, it's difficult to keep my eye of her.

dandoon Paige and Chloe were doing their wishbone duet this week. Kalani and Maddie were performing two sapphires in another place but came back on competition day, Abby secretly added two sapphires into the competition (the competition wishbone was performing at) without the girls knowing. It was unfair because if two sapphires didn’t compete than wishbone would have won.

This is definitely one of my favorite duets of the entire show. Yes, it came with consequences, but you can’t deny how good Kalani and Maddie were in the dance.

Invisible woman It is this duet. It was entered secretly so that Paige and Chloe wouldn’t win.
Abby and Kelly were responsible for the big fight, but Maddie lying to Chloe brought a certain level of distrust in their friendship and Chloe lost 3 of her best friends because of that.
First chloe and paige danced before them and this duet wasn't a last minute dance since cheer talent rule doesn't allow dances in the day off so they entered it 2 days prior plus u can hear melissa saying "I wasn't allowed to say anything" The production forbid melissa and kira to ever say anything and the company has 2 contracts with labels and since the singer doesn't have a label they had to pay for it to be played on the show that means this duet wasn't meant to be on the show and production twisted there words and made Maddie and kalani look so bad

Unpopular opinion:
Kalani was the best dancer to appear on the show.
Reasons:
1. Her teqnique was flawless. There was never a moment where anybody corrected kalanis tecnique.
2. She has good emotion. Kalanis emotion is just right. Not to little, but not too over the top which is perfect.
3. She’s never boring. Even though she gets all these lyrical solos, she never gets boring like brynn, Brady, or Chloe or any other lyrical dancer.
Sorry this may be a little biased but I don’t have much else to say.
I don't think that is really an unpopular opinion. I am torn about who the best dancer is between Maddie and Kalani. They each have different strengths. Like Kalani is technically flawless and dances very maturely, but Maddie uses emotions better and embodies any character that she portrays really well. Maddie seems to have a way with the music while dancing. I feel like Kalani may be the better dancer overall, but Maddie has more star quality. Brynn is close behind them.

I’m sorry in my opinion brynn isn’t boring the show just made it seem that way. Also the show severely regressed her talent, she was on the same technical level as kalani but was pushed down with the same choreography over and over again. She even won TDA so that says alot

This is a beautiful duet, but the things going on behind it… not so much. It’s sad that this one duet broke apart two girl’s friendships, and the trust they had for each other. And if I’m honest some parts of the show they made Maddie and even some of the kids look bratty! It’s not like Maddie asked to be the favorite or asked Melissa to work for Abby, the frustration of the mothers I get but they really did Maddie and many other of the kids on here wrong.

If you just think about it, if Kelly didnt leave probably Chloe would not been left out in season 4 and maybe que would'nt leave. So Jojo would never be on the show and she wouldnt be the succesfull star she is now.

To everyone wondering why people are saying that this duet changed everything: Chloe and Paige had a duet that same week called Wishbone, and I forget who but I think that it was Chole that asked Maddie if she had a duet with Kalani that week and she said no. Later in the competition, everyone then found out that they did have a duet (the one that is in this video) and Maddie and Kalani had been practicing it behind everyone’s backs. Im pretty sure that was also the same episode that Christi told Chloe that she knew who her friends were and that’s what made Maddie think that her and Chloe weren’t friends anymore. Kelly also got really mad because she hit Abby (there is more context behind that tho) and that’s when everything went down hill and Brooke Paige and Kelly left the show and so did Christi and Chloe not long after.
this duet is gorgeous, but if it hadn’t been entered everything that went wrong wouldn’t have happened... (my channel name is actually inspisered by Wishbone lol)
These two really worked amazing together, and they were so talented. Kalani was a great partner for Maddie to have because of her major technique and heart soul and passion for dance as Maddie had.

This is exquisite. Technically superior and artistically delicate but powerful. A dance does not have to have a backstory. This is about being ornamental and creating beauty.

Same... but the worst part is that this duet was hands down a winning duet just looking at the technique and that’s what I hate is that wishbone was so emotionally beautiful but I’m guessing the judges just preferred technique over emotion that day.
