Giveaway 10/26 - 10/31!
Done! One milestone that I am proud of is that I’m taking a big step with my candle and soap business I am starting to do Desert candles and I’ve mastered making whipped wax
Fear
My husband and I have recently started a candle/ melt business and I have to say for a milestone that we caught on to it quickly and are making great products. We thank you for your videos, They ate so helpful. I love how you explain everything so clearly!

I’ve not started my business yet, still in the testing phase. But what I’m most proud of is finally getting past my fear and getting started, putting in the time and effort to not only researching and watching tons of videos but test, test, test. Yes I’ve had my share of frustration but it keeps me motivated to keep going. I also don’t mind reaching out to fellow candle makers and asking for tips and suggestions.
Maybe not a milestone to others, but I have had people find me at vendor events and get so excited! I love having repeat customers, too!!! That seems like the ultimate compliment that someone purchased your item and then came back for more!!
Hey Paris. I will be launching next month! One milestone I'm super proud of is creating my online store on Shopify all by myself. It was not easy and there were several occassions where I just wanted to give up but I accomplished the goal and very happy with it!
I’m at the beginning stages of my candle business and a milestone for me was having repeat customers for my starter scents. I still have a lot to learn and have learned a lot from your channel. Thank you!
I recently decided to start my own small candle company business. I really enjoy watching your UA-cam videos they are helpful to me.
I’m just starting but I’ve successfully made all 12 candles in my kit and all have smooth tops, excellent CT and HT. That’s my first milestone. I just poured my first coconut apricot candle yesterday and the top is perfect. Glass adhesion is great. I’m so looking forward to testing this candle 14 days isn’t coming fast enough. This coconut apricot wax is beautiful I just wish it wouldn’t be so hard to find. It’s like everybody is out at the same time lol. What’s holding me back from launching is I want to make sure my candles are perfectly made and I’ve made enough of them that I’m confident of the product I will be putting out. But I have definitely found my wax of choice.
Congratulations 👏🏾 I'm so happy for you.
Hey LadyCIMONNE! I am in the beginning stages of starting my candle biz. Like you I suffered from postpartum depression and I needed to get back to hobbies that I enjoy doing. I just recently made some candles that are curing and I can't wait to test them out. One milestone that I have accomplished is just starting and not being afraid of failure.
Giveaway!
Have not started the business side yet. What is holding me back? ... testing 🤦♀️ still trying to find the appropriate wick, wax and jar combination.
Done. One thing holding me back is fear, fear that I might not make the best product. But as time goes by I am starting to believe that I can do it and I am ready to take that risk because it's better than not knowing what the result would've been
Hey Paris!!! Your videos are so informational and i appreciate you so much for sharing your knowledge with us! I am a beginner to candle making and have found interest in candle making for a few years now but never knew where to start. Working a fulltime job in the restaurant as a Training general manager, especially during the last 2 years, has been so challenging and time consuming, which didnt allow me the time or energy to really fulfill my interest in candle making. I am now starting a new job and im so excited because i will have a more stable schedule that will allow me to invest time in becoming a small business owner in candle making. I am so excited of all the possibilities and cant wait to start. Currently stocking up on inventory (small amounts to start) so that i can practice and test product so i can fully get my line going. I am proud of hiw i am making the moves in my life to create space to invest in the future of my family and that i actually found a DIY that i really have passion in, to maintain consistency and so many fun ideas.
I am very new to candle making, so I am still trying to feel my way through to creating a product with great hot and cold throw. Following to find the right wax and wick to produce awesome results.
I am in the testing phase but would like to start a business in the future. Trying to figure out how to make my business stand out, how not to spend crazy amounts of money on everything starting out, wick testing, etc. is what is stalling me right now. I’m sure I’ll figure it out and looking at your videos and others help so much!!
I haven't started my business yet but the only thing holding me back is my supplies. I'm waiting for my supplies to come in the mail, but in the mean time I've been doing alot of research and I'm so excited to get started and create something that I can be proud of.
I haven’t started yet do to testing, I finally found the wax I want to use. So now I’m wick testing that’s what’s holding me back. I also plan on going to the store for pick up once the coco soy is in stock, hope I can meet her in person.
Hi! I was so excited when I saw the notification for this video, But of course I’m late to watch it! I absolutely love your videos, I’m in the beginning stages of my candle company (Royal Ivy Candle Co.) but the thing that’s holding me back is both testing and the price of product. It’s so expensive to continue testing and I’m just not getting anywhere with it! I won’t give up though
How long did you let the candle cure?
Your videos are such a great help
What was your wick choice?
Yippee I just ordered my first 45lb can’t wait! What % Fo and size wick did you use in your tester? I’m going to order my jars from CS as well
I have not launched my candle business because I'm not getting a powerful scent throw I would like. My consistency and technique is great, but scent throw needs work using the Coco Soy blend wax.
Very good info taking some notes
All this good information and you didn’t say which wick you used ?
Hi, I also live in Columbus Oh.. I am wondering if you will be offering any more trainings soon for starting a candle business?

What size and type of wick is being used?
Very helpful 👌
I’m not 100% why you haven’t answered this question even though you’ve been asked so many times already: which wick did you use?
The bump
If you have not started your candle biz, what is the one thing holding you back? I have not mastered my candles just yet. I dont think I have found the right wax that I can call mine lol
The giveaway
Taking 📝 notes, but I’m proud to have gotten my 1st review and candle labels created😉
answering the first question. For me it is very important to start this business. It is a project that was reflected in a diary, when my daughter went through bulling… yes, it is not easy when your daughter goes through such an unpleasant experience. During that process I asked God to guide me and help us as a family. My daughter is very talented, she is 10 years old, she is super creative. One day I decided to buy her some craft for her to do with me, and that activity was a small candle making kit. Boom, God answered my question, that was the instrument to get her out of the emotional state that she was in. That was the instrument for the two of us to start thinking about starting a business together. So this is a dream of a daughter and a mother, working with the same vision and passion. It is being able to teach my daughter that no matter what others say about her, she is a precious piece for God and God has great things for her. She can go very far, because the sky has no limits.
Note: Sorry for my long answer .
I'm happy for her and you. I know what bullying is like my son now 15 went through it when he was in the kindergarten. Yes, I had to find something for him to do to ease his heart. Staying close to God is a staple for us and hobbies. He's doing well he has come a long way. He's very creative he writes and makes music. Peace 🕊️ Love 💞 and Blessings 🙏🏾 to you and your daughter 🤗
Thank you🙏
You say you like to support black business but what about white business???
Wow that’s bright white! Makesy’s is more off-white.
Thank you for the tips on testing candles.
So much joy in seeing the baby bump. Praying for continued blessings in your life and for your family. ❤️
Can you use cranking wick
Great video I always enjoy watching your channel. This wax is amazing I use it for my wickless candles. I have just started to add candles to my business, but 1 milestone I am proud of its that I have made it my business to make sure I master my skills before I sale my items to my customers because I want excellence in my products. Your customers will be your #1 supporters!!! Thanks again for all your advice.

I’m in the process nothing is holding me back perse’ just trying to decide what vessel color I want to use
I think the biggest thing holding me back from starting my candle business would be time. I’m a single parent of two kids with a full time job and although I really want to start my business, I feel I would not give it the time it deserves to be an extra income. It takes more than just making candles to run the business. I need the legal insight, finance education, and customer service. It’s all a lot.
Hey Cimonne! Thanks for the giveaway. We haven’t full launched but I can say one milestone we’ve accomplished is taking the initiative to try...again. We aren’t newbies but it’s been awhile. So many challenges in the way but we’re pressing through and will keep pushing. Again thanks for the opportunity (as well vid) and best wishes to all.
Hi Paris, I am new at making candles ,but I am finally getting the hang of it . I watch and follow your videos, and follow everything you say and do concerning candle making .so far so good. My greatest milestone is when I sold my first candle, it let's me know that if I just hold on and continue what I am doing, everything will turn out fine.
Hey Paris Have done all 3 I have not started a candle business I am very proud to say I have made candles & wax melts for my family & friends because of your videos I was scared to let them try them out I am so glade that I did they love them all thank you so much for all your videos you have shared 😘
I have not started my candle line yet but one thing that is holding me back is not knowing out to get customers to buy my product. I am afraid of failing.
I am not an offical business yet but I can say a milesone for me was putting myself on the path to making my dream of owning my own business a reality
Thank you for the inf. Follow you for a while.
Thanks for your videos and review of the wax. I have not started my business yet, still wick testing have been for about 4 months now. What’s holding me back the most is muster nervousness and overthinking. Definitely want to make sure quality product, but I can tell I get all over the place after each candle test. I started double and triple questioning! 😊 thanks again.
CONGRATS - YOU ARE THE WINNER!! Please email me at info@ladycimonnecandleco.com so that I can get your information and connect you with Mike (owner of Maryland Wax Club). You have won 10lbs of Coco Apricot Wax :) Thank you again for the support and participating!
@@LadyCIMONNECandleCo oh wow! Very happy! Thank you for the opportunity! I’ve tried a couple of waxes but not this one definitely excited.
Hi, I really appreciate your effort on this for us to learn on coco apricot wax / natural wax.. I have two questions: 1) When conducting a burn test , do we cut / trim the wick into 1/4 before lighting for the first time? I just noticed that the wick you lighted is about half inch long… I was not sure how to start the burn test.. 2) on the 2nd and future burns, should I trim the wick or leave it as is? Thank you so much!
1. Yes
2. Trim the wick
Not sure if how you could tell by viewing from the video that is was 1/2 inch exactly. But when you burn a candle, which in this case it went through a burn session already, your wick will be however long it is after burning for hours. So I trimmed it before burning it again which was not shown. I always trim it as close to 1/4 inch as possible before the first burn and subsequent burns. Thanks🙂
My effort was more about trying new wax and sharing my thoughts. Not to necessarily teach all about the wax. The best way to learn is to try it yourself. Then I wanted to explain burn sessions for those who were interested. Plus do the giveaway!
@@LadyCIMONNECandleCo , yes. Thank You! I have just started this hobby and I’m always confused because in big named stores they sell candles with a wick of about half inch tall, but when we conduct burn test we always are supposed to trim to 1/4 … I’ll do the 1/4 trimming as you suggested every time I test burn… Thank you!
