@John Blaa avvars are humans, and humans call people only humans. Dwarves dont call themselves as people, neither does qunari nor talvashoth. So only elves and humans. And by the way spirit is on completely different level, on the same level with demons.
Even though I know this is saying you should leave Hawke in the fade in DAI, I've always thought the Inquisitor should have stayed behind. They have the anchor after all, if anyone is likely to escape from the fade its them.
Thankfully I had Stroud in the default playthrough, but in my main one I'll have to choose AND I CANT fck *sounds of shattering heart* ok but it's the hardest choice ever ;-;
_"Must I only be in one place, bodies are such limiting things. I am a fragment cast from the whole..."_ - Really puts her Origins fight in perspective _" When the time comes for your regrets, remember me"_ - That Line feels oddly Meta
I didn't play DA 2 nor did I know about any of this, but I still chose Hawke. In that moment, my thought process was like "Hawke is right. If the wardens are gonna make amends they need to be lead by another warden." I didn't wanna make Varric sad, but in that moment Hawke was the most expendable person there. The Inquisitor is the only one who can defeat Cory and close the breach. Whichever Warden is left is the best choice to lead the wardens of Ferelden and Orlais. So I chose Hawke. I hated seeing Varric sad tho. "Where's Hawke, Where's Hawke? 😭😭 Then watching this made it feel like it went full circle. I hope this has some significance in Dreadwolf.
I had no idea about these theories regarding "Here Lies the Abyss" but you guys managed to convince me. My take on all this is quite simple (Spoilers ahead, I'm gonna give some space if you haven't played Dragon Age Inquisition, I myself took a while to play so no judgement here) Before being visited by the Dread Wolf, Flemeth is sending a soul through the Eluvian, I don't think she could entrust Mythal to anyone, Mythal will probably be passed to Morrigan if Flemeth was truly willing to actually die petrified by the Dread Wolf. Mythal is not the only soul carried by Flemeth, she also has Urthemiel with her and I don't think the entire reason Morrigan went with the Warden (giving birth to Kieran and purify Urthemiel's soul) isn't canon, so in canon Kieran exists as the Old God Baby and Flemeth took the soul with her, releasing the kid from the responsibility. Urthemiel is the soul Flemeth sends into the Eluvian to rescue the ally left behind in the Fade to fight the Nightmare. Flemeth is more likely to trust Alistair or Hawke, but since BioWare canon has King Alistair, the only one remaining (as a canon version) to be vessel to the purified soul of Urthemiel is Hawke. Plus... Going back to the original sentence "It's only when you fall that you learn how to fly" and his witty comeback "cheap advise coming from a dragon". Hawks can fly too, was that family name chosen without a reason?
I like to imagine Flemeth's prophecy flashed through Hawke's head when they were faced with sacrifice in the abyss. So, I'm not too worried for Hawke when leaving them there. I have faith they'll pull through somehow. I think if Hawke is not "sacrificed", things might turn out worse for them in DA4, since they did not "leap", thus defying destiny . Who knows what the hell is going on at Weisshaupt.
Letting Hawke stay on the fade is somewhat of a impossible choice for me... Not becouse of hawke itself, but varric dammit, you can actually hear his heart broken when he find's out that hawke didn't came back... I can't do that to my trusty dwarf.. Yet I have to...
You know I just realized something. Flemeth asked her if she knew anything about her beyond that title, hinting if she realized she was Mythal. When it was clear she didn't know Flemeth told her to stand meaning do not show respect for me unless you know I am your elder of the people.
This is foreshadowing. Inquisition and the mission "Here Lies The Abyss" actually makes sense now. Dragon Age 4 is gonna be so interesting. If the writers remain faithful to foreshadowing and pay attention to their writing. Solas/Fen'Harel is going to be a very powerful boss to fight
Solas is definitely gonna be a powerful boss. He fooled the forgotten ones and the creators and sealed them both to protect his people. If I'm right, old gods/archdemons were elven gods corrupted by blight, and it takes tons of firepower and wardens to kill them
@@brandonlouieisla4117 You know what would be cool and what I'm secretly hoping for is for Solas to grab a page from Orochimaru's playbook. Ressurrect the past 5 Grey Wardens and their fallen Old Gods. They were Archdemons before, but when the wardens slayed them they reverted back to their old Dragon God forms. And fight for Solas' army. That would be so epic! That would be a great option for The Canon Grey Warden who performed the Ultimate Sacrifice ending. Would love to see them again in a more powerful form being resurrected with Uthremiel by their side. So epic!
I’ll have to let Hawke do the leaping. I’m forcing my own cuz I’m gonna have Alistair be my Warden. Besides, my Hawke wouldn’t give me the choice anyway
fluffsnake HAWKE IS A GOOD LAD/LADY. It’s what they would want! Tho I’m pretty sure 2 protagonists and a Grey Warden could beat that spider fuck down and just bail out before it can get back up.
1:53 "neither is she" to this day i don't know whether she meant that Morrigan is neither her daughter nor enemy or that Morrigan doesn't know which one
"we stand upon the precipice of change, the world fears the inevitable plummet into the abyss... watch for that moment, and when it comes, do not hesitate to leap. It is only when you fall that you learn whether you can fly..." shit hit harder way outside the game...
Ironically, in my canon playthrough, I told Morrigan to GTFO about Flemeth. The entire thing felt like a manipulation on both ends and I washed my hands of it, so Flemeth was talked to but never attacked for me.
Subtle hint for Flemeth's true being here. She addresses Merill as one of the "people". That's only something that elves use of themselves.
@John Blaa avvars are humans, and humans call people only humans. Dwarves dont call themselves as people, neither does qunari nor talvashoth. So only elves and humans. And by the way spirit is on completely different level, on the same level with demons.
Starting to realize how much the story of DA was actually planned out all along
I love how she's asks if merril knows she's mythal when she sees her bowing
"Regret is something I know well. Take care not to cling to it, to hold it so close that it poisons your soul." - Damn, that's deep.
Solas could have used that piece of advice.
Even though I know this is saying you should leave Hawke in the fade in DAI, I've always thought the Inquisitor should have stayed behind.

She is such a phenomenonal character! I do think the voice talent is exquisite as well
This makes so much sense after Inquisition "Here lies the abyss" I hope y'all left Hawke there.
Thankfully I had Stroud in the default playthrough, but in my main one I'll have to choose AND I CANT fck *sounds of shattering heart*
ok but it's the hardest choice ever ;-;
Fluff Lynn It's Hawke's destiny. You shouldn't interfere. Let him jump into the abyss.
When... you romance someone... like for example Fenris. You can't simply leave Hawke in the abyss.
I believe hawke would become mythal vessel
@@Call-me-Creeds It was either Hawke or Alistair for me, I'd rather have Hawke die

Flemythal needed the elven to release her from the amulet.
And I never thought anything of it.
This is how Flemmeth survives if the Warden kills her.
This is why I choose Hawke to stay in fade every time in DAI.
Because only he/she can "fly" in there when they fall.
Exactly.
I think the Warden is all but guaranteed to die if you leave them there. Hawke, however, has destiny on their side.

I chose Hawke because it was the most narratively satisfying. Loghain needs to be leading the wardens and Hawke is the hero.
When Flemeth mentions regret, it gets me in the feels every time.
yeah, it's interesting re-watching this after playing DAI and finding out more about her~
When we get to know who she is, who were her allies, her enemies and her struggles all she says gain a different meaning.

Who'd have thought that Capt. Janeway could sound so menacing and have such an evil-sounding laugh
0:07 I just noticed that she's speaking the lyrics to Lelianna's Song.

If only david gaider had written da4 like the others 😢
i think leaving hawk in the fade would make him stronger he would turn to a dragon defeat the demon and if lucky find a rift and get out in da4
I could never risk it 😂😂
Is that why Flemeth was in the fade? I’m DAI?
zukoumi oh shit she sure was inside there with Morrigan and his grandson
Oh, God I LOVE Flemeth! One of my fav' characters! 😆

aww man... I wouldn't have the heart to >< I couldn't have my own baby killed off!! Or Alistair... it's... a hard thing to do if you have those 2 ;_;

Cheap advice... FROM A DRAGON...
Here lies the abyss... in another life, hawke
that is a sexy hawke
John Stephens Haha thank you! :D I sure do love him~
What's this about Hawke leaping or something? Never played DA2 could you please inform me haha
it's something spoilery from DA:I
Dragon Age Inquisition. Quest is called Here Lies The Abyss and has a choice related to Grey Wardens and Hawke. Pick Hawke to fulfill her prophecy.
Also, My Warden would not be pleased with hawke after discovering about his involvement in bringin flemeth back
Ironically, in my canon playthrough, I told Morrigan to GTFO about Flemeth. The entire thing felt like a manipulation on both ends and I washed my hands of it, so Flemeth was talked to but never attacked for me.
Alister, Loghain, Stroud. Why do I always leave Hawke in the fade? Even though it's so very painful.
I thought she is voiced by the same VA as kreia.
She's speaking on America 😂
So wait.. hawke was supossed to stay? Will they survive there?
I think this does mean that if Hawke stays behind, he will survive, "fly", somehow.
And thats where the epic ends.Rest of the game is total shit.
