What I miss about China is the feeling of complete safety everywhere. In any U.S. cities you really have to be careful where you park the car, and which neighborhood you wander into. My friend had his catalytic converter stolen in broad daylight. During a recent trip to San Diego, I've seen three cases of smashed car windows and items stolen in one day, and these cars were parked in popular tourist areas by the beach. This is ridiculous. When I was in China I literally didn't have to worry about where I park, where to go, and when to go.

As a Chinese I’m really proud of this city!
It’s my homeland and it’s an absolutely great city.
I was not used to the heat there and the sunshine there but things changed after I came here, California…The sunshine is truly, literally blazing.
So back to the topic, based on my experience, the US is like a giant village where you can’t see a neat and clean city (honestly the SF and LA are nasty bcz no one cleans them up…)

In the last few months, some new "inhabitants" are starting to move in with their tents, shopping carts, and free loads of shit and piss on the sidewalks. As I said, this used to be a nice area. LOTS of formerly good neighborhoods in America are being taken over and absolutely ruined by these zombie hordes. Feel bad for them? I am sure a few are people who want to work but have just fallen upon hard times. But far too many are Tylenol addicts who are drugged out of their minds all the time. Go travel in China. @breveth and actually everyone, hello, I was born and raised in Taiwan until I was 12, then chose to move to the US and become an American because I loved the country so much. I loved the founding principles of this country, even as a kid they impressed me so much, ie the freedom of speech, of religion, and the freedom to bear arms to not only protect oneself and her family but also as a way to maintain the people’s power to keep the government in line. I thought it was so awesomely badass. Who doesn’t want freedom?! Also, I was moved by the kind and compassionate people I met everywhere during my summer visits to America, it being a Christian majority country at the time. Of course, we know that America’s ideals are now up to us the people to restore and we have quite a ways to go to restore them….we do have a lot of problems. But I will never move away from America because of its problems, I would for other reasons. Now just to let you know my very objective position, my parents are the most anti-Chinese people on the planet you can imagine. I remember going with them as a teenager to the Chinese consulate in LA to protest against them. I was brought up to think that I am Taiwanese, not Chinese, and really focus on the differences between Chinese and Taiwanese culture. Few years ago I had the chance to live in China for about 2.5 years, in Shanghai and then in Wuhan, and visited many parts of the country. My view of China totally changed. The cultural differences between Taiwan and say Beijing is as trivial as the cultural differences between Beijing and Shanghai! It’s like splitting hair! My 3 favorite things about China are the people-how friendly and fun-loving they are, the public transportation system (just blows my mind all the time how efficient, convenient, affordable, and clean), and how beautiful the cities are. There are so many great cities in that country it is so mind boggling that they’ve developed so much in such a short time. One thing I concluded after my stay there is that, the greatest enemy to mankind is team spirit, the mentality of “I am this race or this nationality and your that nationality and therefore we’re enemies” and focusing on our differences rather than our commonality. In reality, we are all children of God, all brothers and sisters. You’d have to be a monster to not feel broken hearted if you’re a Chinese citizen and you see the people on the streets of America walking around like the dead from the graves wasting their lives away. Those are people with mothers and fathers, they once had dreams and aspirations for their lives just like you do, they all want to love and be loved just like you do. And you’d have to be equally hard hearted if you’re an American and you don’t find tears welling in your eyes when you see Chinese people ….. oh shucks I just stopped for 10 minutes trying to think of a current example of widespread suffering in China, and I can’t think of one😂. But I think you get what I’m trying to say. People are people.

Almost 15 years ago when we first visited Chongqing on a private tour I recall saying to my wife that we must be close to our hotel given we were in wall to wall high rises and skyscrapers. An hour later we arrived in the city centre!
Chongqing is an incredible city and I really need to go back and see how it's grown up since then.
    Great video.

Thank you both for hitting the streets, facing the elements, e.g. sun, traffic, etc. to give us a glimpse of the streets of Chongqing, China. You'll have to identify the brand and model of ebike you're using sometime.
BTW, sun protection is important. I wear the Columbia Bora Bora hat (boonie hat) on sunny days. It easily folds to be stored in your backpack or even cargo pant pocket. 👒☀

I have lived in Chongqing for 6 years and I’m planing to move back there next year. Chongqing ( China in general) is the safest place on earth. You go out , get wasted and I promise you you’ll be back home safe and sound. Chongqing people are very enthusiastic and super friendly. China is my favorite place in the world!

    Breathtaking beauty all over.
If only Western media wasn't so sinophobic and biased, I believe people would be rushing over to visit or live in these awe-inspiring modernized cities of China.
