We're doing the song in my grade 9/10/11/12 choir (we're all put into one whole) and my band director changed the part after the solos slightly cause she doesn't like the key of the oh/ah's and that's my favorite part 😭 this song gives me so many good chills and I absolutely love singing tenor in this! I also got the tenor solo too!

We're doing this with the choir I play piano for. Having recorded rehearsal tracks for the group, I decided to check this out, for kicks.
For those who care about pedantic music reading, m.8 is not sung how it's written, which can be heard at 0:16. "The" is sung as an eighth pickup to put "Key" on beat 2, as opposed to starting it right on Beat 2 and "Key" being sung on the and of 2.
At m.76 (2:11) and m.84 (2:25), it sounds like they chose to leave the upper voices holding the second syllable of Wav-ing for the whole measure, as opposed to continue singing unison as written.
At m.121 (3:29), the upper choir sings up to a Bb on the last note, as opposed to the lower F as written.
At m.132 (3:45), the upper choir sings the word "Is" as an eighth pickup to beat 3. It's written to be sung on the and of 1 and held for 1 and a half beats.
At m.136 (3:52), sounds like they decided to add some sopranos to sing the G to Ab up an octave.
Overall, not important if you're using this to evaluate the music for purchase, but if anyone chooses to use this for rehearsal purposes, good to know where these small differences are if the director chooses to address it.

@@levitreiber4141 Just for shits and giggles, I listened to this and followed some more. Caught some more discrepancies in regard to what's being sung and what's written. This is pretty normal when they record these arrangements since what was originally written was probably more in line with the show, and then edits were most likely made after to make it a little easier for high school level choirs to perform it.
Yay! One of my favorite songs in the musical. I'm not singing this in a choir, but if I was, I would sing alto. Soprano would be out of my range. :D
