    Since I started gasland I keep an eye open for textured trash plastic, but I never thought about the flow test, it looks really good. Thanks for the tips!

    Thanks for the tip with the tablet blisters, I'm desperately looking for more ultra-fine materials such as this for armor plating. For mesh (windows), I like to go to the $1 stores or flea-markets and buy sieves or strainers or splash guards (like the ones you put on a frying pan to avoid the grease spraying everywhere) and cut the meshing out with metal shears.... looks amazing but you seriously have to do it carefully, if little threads end up in the carpet, you're wife will likely kill you when she gets it into the skin of her toes.
    Similar to the tuille, the corrugated cardboard would be too flimsy for my taste but I think I might try making a milliput print of it and see how it works.
    Great video!

      To be honest the card is brilliant . A little super glue and you'd be hard pushed to notice it was card.

      @@WastelandsRaceway Yeah but if somebody grabs the item a little too clumsily, won't it immediately fold and become distorted?

    • @WastelandsRaceway
      @WastelandsRaceway  Рік тому

      @Colonel Burton very much depends where you use it. So long as it's stuck securely to a solid part of the model you should be ok.

      Matt "mod podge", bit water, maybe some drops of primer or paint, turns cardboard plastic-hard.

    I have a decent 28mm eye, but this 1/64 scale requires an entirely new perspective. Thanks for the tips.

      True, the 1/64(ish) scale is definitely a different baby! More forgiving in many ways .... certainly cheaper!

    What sort of packing tape has that texture to it? I’m state-side, so that might be my issue

    • @WastelandsRaceway
      @WastelandsRaceway  2 роки тому

      Hey. It shouldn't be an issue . It's the plastic straps that come on boxes ( paper or large appliances like fridges or freezers to hold the boxes together or even pallets ) if you Google pallet strapping you should be able to see what it is 😁

    This is the first conversion vid I've watched which has rederenced bullet holes. I was beginning to think it was just me who wanted to drill holes in toy cars. I felt that van was crying out for a 'waist' or 'dorsal' weapon, but with all that armour, who'd want to crew it? Fantastic use of your rubbish. Im inspired!
