Thank you so much! I just changed my battery a few months ago and didn't think it would die this soon and it's 9PM on a Friday night and none of the stores near me have a battery this size! I was freaking out!!!
Hello… great video, very informative, I have a question… I sometimes leave my key inside the truck and lock it with the key pad on the door, but the other day, I locked it but I noticed that the lights on the pad didn’t turned red but the door did locked… when I returned I tried opening the door with the key pad but the lights didn’t turn red and I wasn’t able to open the door… I end up calling my husband to bring his key, and now they only door that opens with the remote is the drivers, when before I was able to open any door just by touching the door handles… do you know why that happened?
Yes - it reads the chip when the fob is placed in the backup slot in the center console. When the fob is working properly it emits a signal that the car can read from near or anywhere inside the car but when the fob is dead it must be placed in the backup slot to read the actual chip.
After the 10 seconds the alarm will start going off until the vehicle is started. If you are unable to start the vehicle you may need to disconnect the battery to get the alarm to stop
My car was at the body shop for a month. They most likely unhooked the battery. I got my car back now the intelligent access doesn't work. I can't use the lock / unlock button on the driver's door. The lock still lodks automatically when I start driving so the attenuator still works. All locks work when I use the fob too. Any Ideas why the intelligent access is not working?
After watching 6 different video about a dead key fob you are the only one that says the slot is in the arm console. thank you
You're Welcome! Glad it helped

Im not sure on that - it's possible that there is just an issue with the keypad and it may need to be repaired or replaced
THANK YOU! I had no idea what that piece was for in the console!😂
You're Welcome!
Got to love youtube
How do you get the key pod to return
Does it detect the chip in the fob when you put it in there? Assumed the chip is always detected even if you take the battery out of the fob. Right?

THANK you bro. Dealing with a turd explorer with a turd owner

if you weren't able to start it in 10 sec. - do you just get out and lock the door with the key to try again?

Did they have to take the drivers door apart? Is it possible they didn't plug the connector back together for the buttons on the drivers door?
@@PYR-Auto I'm not sure. I will call them up and ask. Is that an easy fix?
Not sure - just a thought
My remote, that stopped working, IT DON'T HAVE KEY, IT'S JUST THE REMOTE AND HOW DO I PROGRAM IT?
Unfortunately there is no manual way to program these fobs
What you do if that door is jammed and the car has no power
Jammed as in someone turned left into my driver door and it doesn’t open anymore. How would we open it without breaking the glass
You may need to get an automotive locksmith to open one of the other doors - that should be cheaper than replacing a window
Why does the Ford Explorer not turn on when there's a quarter tank in the car just because it's on an inclined driveway. Third time this has happened.
not sure
😅
