    Ron I just found the channel and caught my first live last Friday … I’m the one who was asking about Tenacity in St Augustine in middle to north Ga climate … its hard for me to identify the lawn I have because it was established when we moved in and I’m going off my brother in laws knowledge
    Anyway I could send some pics and you can help identify ?
    Greening up very nice but also lots of weeds just put lime, iron, micro nutrients down for the first time.. and a Scott’s triple action weed feed pre emergent type box store product

    Of course after I leave my previous home of 8 yrs Velocity PM would be available to kill POA in Fesque yard. The house had way more problems than just poa but it is what it is.
    Thanks Ron for info. I will using certainty in my new warm season lawn.

      The price for Velocity pm is ridiculous high $500? after watching a video on it. It also requires a very specific requirement to treat Velocity PM for fesque lawn with POA.

    Hi Ron, I am In the PNW Tacoma Wa, cool season grass area. I am going to cut my grass short with a rotary mower and will switch to the 18 inch scotts once grass is established. My plan is to cut the grass as short as possible. Have a core aeration done, then do a heavy essential G then apply a starter fertilizer then top dress with carboniz PN Dressing soil enhancer w/ Biochar and then over seed with 007 Creeping Bent Grass from hancocks, Hancocks Perennial Ryegrass
    and Hancocks Kentucky Bluegrass. what do you think?

      Sounds like a solid plan. CarbonizPN should help the overseed come in nicely.

    For treating Poa with certainty, 1 large scoop per gallon?

      @@RonHenrya couple issues a lot of us have is ours yards are not square, or even remotely square, out of the 7 different yard areas there's only 1 that even has a straight border. I had to have a aerial mapping done to figure out the square footage, and even then I couldn't get the actual square footage of each yard segment. So a lot of us just have to guess. Also my situation may be different but I have a ranch I have chemical sprayed all year long on the pasture grasses and every single thing that we spray is based on per gallon, like 2 qt of product to 1000 gallons of water or so on. So when a label says .25 oz. Per thousand that's speaking french to most of us. Ive been a farmer or rancher for my whole life and sprayed millions of gallons of product and I have no idea how to figure that way. Sorry we're probably the dumb ones but we're just guessing out here.

    I applied PGR (T-Nex) to my bermuda and zyosia lawn a couple of days ago and live in Atlanta metro. Can I aerate so soon after applying PGR?

    What is the best pre emergent for Arkansas?

    • @RonHenry
      @RonHenry  3 місяці тому +1

      There's no "best" per se. Depends on the kind of grass you have. Given how late you are on spring pre-emergent at this point, I would use this: golfcourselawn.store/products/dimension-15-pre-emergent-herbicide-with-fertilizer-0-0-7 Assuming you have warm season grass, this an excellent choice for fall pre-emergent: golfcourselawn.store/products/specticle-flo-pre-emergent-herbicide

    😮Hey Rom or others. I may have asked before but don’t trust guy who laid new Sod over Month agp
    Would you deep water 40 mins per zone for warm season sod 2 or 3 times per week for summer?

    • @RonHenry
      @RonHenry  3 місяці тому +1

      Hard to say how long to water without knowing how much water your irrigation system puts out. I would follow the instructions the installer gave you. They have a vested interest in the sod establishing.

      @ericb2861 3 місяці тому +1

      @@RonHenry ok. It’s just hard to trust someone never did their job correct doing different projects. Sod guy don’t even know what seed heads were and much more like how to use the type of spreader we have without burning yard. Thanks for reply.

      @@ericb2861 Oh in that case, probably not best to listen to him. 🙂I would water enought to prevent the new sod drying out but not so much to where it's soggy. Really should only need to water this way for the first few weeks.
