I will always remember the day I first heard this song. I listened to it one hundred times in a row. To hear the Brazilian people singing the drum parts tells you everything. God bless you Brazil, I wish you the best. Your passion is unmatched. Not just your love for Rush, but also Rodeo and MMA. Nobody matches the passion of the Brazilian people.
I freaking LOVE the Brazilian people! Only in Brazil do we see such emotion and passion, whether it’s in music, Mixed Martial Arts or Battlebots. I’m always amazed at how Brazilian athletes think of their families first and foremost when they achieve riches and success. If I want t an American, I would wish to be a Brazilian! From what I've read he was extremely reserved & had always felt uncomfortable with the fame/adulation that came with their success. I've also read he had some social anxiety and had a tight circle of family/friends.
He was a very secluded person, watch "Dinner with Rush" and he's just laughing throughout the entire thing. I think losing his wife and daughter might have had an affect on him. Hopefully he's reunited with his family.
Sadness only sadness today. Thank you for all of the wonderful images...dreams you gave a young boy and the fond memories of a man. Enjoy your Honeydew and Milk.

I’ve seen Rush many times, but this one was different. I am so grateful for those crappy seats. I got to witness the maestro at his best. I will never, ever forget you Neil. I am so happy that you are reunited with your family. God bless you
That's one song. All of that energy to play one song. Regardless of what shape he's in, he must have been exhausted and sore at the end of those shows. Once the tendonitis grew, it must have been quite painful to play that hard.
Thank you very much for sharing your love of your craft Mr. Neil Peart and teaching the world and enjoying what you do. There will never be a substitute for your skills you have achieved, and if in this lifetime there comes along another star as yourself, that matches or exceeds your accomplishments, let the people of all walks of life not neglect to acknowledge the gift before them, to show appreciation and respect, that is not commanded, but should be deserved. The man was SO INTENSE! I only got to see them 22 times over the years. I know there are folks that have been to many more. Above the talent, and road wear, there is an intensity few others possess. I sometimes felt sad for Neil, as it seemed playing (because of the difficulty, time changes, etc.) it was more of "a job" for him. We know he didn't like the road. But, after he lost so much love in his life, after Vapor Trails, I would watch him and, I don't know, it appeared to me that he was just going through the motions. But, I think he is the most intense man, I never met.
