Hey I’ve recently come across your channel and I’ve binged so many of of your videos, they’re great and makes me really want a scooter! Looking at the Honda Forza 125. Hello from the UK
Greetings from the USA! Thanks for watching and leaving feedback! I wish that Honda would bring the Forza scoots to our shores, but we don't have a big market for those here. The Forza line seems to be better suited for highway touring than the PCX and ADV models we get here. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
I might investigate some medical tourism options in Europe sometime next year. I have a few other dental procedures that I'd like to do, but the prices here in the USA are absolutely insane. I could visit Romania, Poland, or several other EU countries for a month-long vacation, have all of those optional procedures done, and still pay less than half of the cost than here in the States. 🤯 --QM
@@justasmackevicius2940 My little Cub has about 17K miles on it now. I haven't been riding it much lately because I want to replace the timing chain tensioner and guides before they deteriorate further. It sustained a LOT of high speed abuse during the 2021 Scooter Cannonball adventure, and that's well known for eating the timing sets in these little 125's. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
Oddly enough with all the other free care we have here in Denmark free dental care is not one of them. We get a small subsidy from the state but most of it we have to pay for ourselves. So many Danes goes to Sweden or even as far away as Turkey to have major dental work done. If you are on social security you can get 65% of the cost covered from the municipality but they will go through your economy with a fine tooth comb before they’ll give you anything. So many (relatively) poor Danes have bad teeth because they can’t afford to have their teeth done.
Dude! I really hope things improve for you and your girl, I can relate to a lot of what you said. Pets are special family! First off, I want to thank you for your videos-they’ve been an amazing resource and inspiration for me and so many! Bc of them, I’m currently researching and seriously considering a Honda Super Cub as my first bike. I have a question for you, if you don’t mind and can answer, when you can? especially since I see you’ve done a lot of long-distance travel on two wheels. I’m looking at using the Super Cub as a daily commuter, with a route that involves 15-20 minutes on a 60 mph highway. Do you think the Cub is up to handling this regularly? And if so, what kind of maintenance should I expect? I’m new to bikes, taking a motorcycle safety course, and working on getting my endorsement, so any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks again for all your great content! Take care of yourself! Keep on’ keeping on! Cheers!
Thanks for the support and well wishes! These comments make a huge impact on my outlook toward social media and the time vampire of video editing. 🤣 I'd love to c̶o̶r̶r̶u̶p̶t̶ encourage you to get a Super Cub, but highway duties aren't its strong point. If the speed limits on your commute are 60 mph, then traffic is likely moving 10-20 mph above that. The Cub will top out around 55-60 mph under most conditions, so you'll be underpowered and outmatched with lots of impatient cagers up your butt. That's too much risk for most people to manage. If you have alternate routes via surface streets, then that's where the Cub will excel (under 55 mph). If you aren't averse to riding a scooter, then you might look at the Honda ADV160 or the PCX160, which are able to maintain 60+ mph without too much drama. Depending on your size and weight, you could also look into larger scooters like the Suzuki Burgman 200/400, Yamaha XMAX 300, or BMW C400GT scooters. Those larger scooters can carry more weight and are able to maintain highway speeds (80+ mph) without straining like the smaller scooters. Good luck with your shopping, and I hope you find a good fit! 😉👍 --QM
QM I would just recommend having the dentist just pull the tooth this will remove the root and also pain. It cost about $100 to pull a tooth removal. I had it done and couldn’t have been happier. The crown will cost a lot of $$$ most likely isn’t going to fit right. And eventually will break anyways down the road. Coming from my own dental woes.
Just get the tooth pulled and start some antibiotics. It’s the cheapest solution. I was told 30 years ago I needed a root canal after a tooth abscess of the second molar. I did the root canal, it never went back for the cap. That was $1000 bucks I didn’t have, but I had the $200 for the pulling. After being talked into it because they said my teeth would shift position and cause problems if I just had it pulled. So I did the canal. What they didn’t say was canals only last 15 to 20 years. But after 27 years I started to have problems with it. I had it pulled. Cost me about $650 in todays dollars, but my teeth haven’t shifted on it and it was way cheaper than another redo. So just get it pulled man!
Thanks for the feedback! This video was recorded with a GoPro HERO11 Black and a PolarPro ND8 filter (lens cover), and that's mounted in a Ulanzi G9-4 vlogging cage. I have several videos that discuss my helmet setup and software used for vlogging, but I don't have a single video with everything condensed into one place. I got lucky on my second try with my helmet recording setup. You can see the evolution of my helmet rig in these four videos: - First working config: ua-cam.com/video/D_lbmLdenHU/v-deo.html - Second iteration (Ulanzi vlogging case): ua-cam.com/video/XnzTe5dp01k/v-deo.html - Third upgrade to Hero11 (the GoPro Hero media mod sucks): ua-cam.com/video/qnfla5t9Oz8/v-deo.html - Final/current setup (Hero11 w/ Ulanzi case): ua-cam.com/video/As5IOYA7Xoc/v-deo.html The microphone that I use is from an older Cardo Scala G9X headset. The 3.5mm mic plugs directly into the GoPro's audio adapter, which has been excellent. I got lucky with that mic early in my vlogging escapades and stuck with it. The timbre and voice quality of the Cardo mic are drastically better than others that I've tried (e.g., Purple Panda, RØDE lavalier, etc). The other microphones I've tested allow too much wind noise or are over-saturated and cause the GoPro audio to distort at high speeds due to the wind noise. I edit all of my videos in Adobe Premiere Pro and apply minor audio corrections (e.g., level normalization and minor noise reduction) to keep everything smooth. However, most of the audio quality is due to Cardo's microphone and my quiet helmets (Schuberth C3 Pro and SHOEI NeoTec II). If you're interested in all the gritty details, email me at quasimotard@gmail.com . I'll reply with my hardware & software settings, editing workflow, and other details that might help you on your quest. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
