This I know warms the heart of RIP. He loves how SS helps change the lives of older folks.

Well done and KEEP IT UP 🥳. I’m 51 and love strength work, I intend to be lifting into my 80s, so good to see that gyms are acknowledging the benefit to older folk!

Good for you, Sylvia. Began SS NLP routine 9 mos ago. Occasionally, a younger person will ask, "How old are you?" and is shocked when I answer "76". Most others in the gym in my age bracket are on machines. Very few in the squat racks and DL platforms. I am saddened as I watch my friends deteriorate as their body weight increases and their strength declines.

Cant wait to hear about her progress a year from now. Another wonderful testimony of the process improving lives. Great job!

Great work, Sylvia. Listening to your testimonial is a nice way to start the day. Starting Strength is truely a modern day Lazarus project- what greater gift? Kudos to Saint Rip.

If this testimony doesn’t do it for ya nothing will. Bouncing right back after covid tells the whole story of just how healthy this lifestyle really is. Thanks for sharing.

Love it. A lot of our problems could be solved if people just did some basic strength training 2-3x a week.

You guys don't worry about a client dropping a barbell on their neck when bench pressing? That's even happened to a few nationally ranked athletes with great coordination, let-alone the average middle-age Jane or Joe.

Is bench pressing more or less risky than driving to the gym? I know more lifters that have been harmed by traffic accidents than bench accidents. It's relatively low-risk, especially since lifters are under the guidance of a coach for weight selection.
