This reminds me of how I used to play with Sonic toys a lot, good memories
I love how Green Hill and Chemical Plant get put in games as a nod to the fans and their childhoods,
But every Sonic fan be rolling their eyes every time it shows up
I’m just tired of seeing it, those Zones served their purpose in multiple games but I’m so done with them. Yes, I still love them but I want to see something new. Something Fresh. Not rehashed Copy & Paste Nostalgia bait Zones that can cause bias for certain fans and Games and could be used as a way to dodge very needed and constructive Criticism.
My childhood was Sonic Riders and Sonic Unleashed on ps2. Where are the nods to my childhood?
my childhood was Seaside Hill, the superior ultimate version of green hill. wheres my nostalgia pandering besides ONCE in generations? which shouldve been Egg Fleet imo.
@@Kiezly honestly I'd rather have them bring back Seaside Hill. It's much cooler than Green Hill and also has the option to be turned into a water level too for variety' s sake. By the way, I think they should bring back Hang Castle and Mystic Mansion from sonic heroes. They're some of the most interesting zones in the entire series in my opinion.

Heroes levels were supposed to be modern reimagined interpretations of Classic 2D levels and they are. they are the perfect evolution of that wacky over the top aesthetics of the 2D games brought into 3D. so to ignore that and go back to green hill and chemical plant and sky sanctuary is ridiculous and makes no good sense.

You know if they are gonna call it Sonic toys party, why don't they base the character models off of different sonic toys and merchandise from the history of the series' multimedia content? They could even give each toy character a bio on when they were released and things like that. Just a thought, I think it would be a neat idea

I prefer games with local multiplayer honestly. Better than playing with some randos online. Online multiplayer in mobile games makes sense though.
It seems the "Sonic and Friends" thing that happened a while with rumors of it being chibi plushie versions of the Sonic cast of characters, is basically related to this...
Because "Sonic Toys Party" sounds like SEGA's version of a cutesy Fall Guys-like game, with the characters also being squishy "plush-like" chibis that are racing around like the "beans" the player plays as in Fall Guys.
It would make sense they wouldn't want to ACTUALLY hurt any of the characters and just make it cartoony and cutesy for the sake of marketing, the fitting style, and simplistic, yet attractive and (sometimes) addictive gameplay.

This title is so anti-marketing. It's going to discourage playing a lot of people aged teen and older.
True. There are a lot of sonic fans over 10 who collect sonic toys but a name like this suggest that the game is going to be very childish and probably slow too. It will turn off a lot of older fans ngl.

As an og sonic fan, I want the games to get more mature if anything, not less.
Don't know how i feel about the title but ok we getting more mobile hedgehog games.. at least it gives some fans something else to play sonic related but then again we just had the reveal of sonic x shadow which is all ready bizarre sounding as a name choice so maybe i shouldn't complain too much could really just of been sonic and shadow or plus ya know whatever

I for one, don't mind anything that was said today about how the game will play and look like, with Green Hill, Chemical Plant and with the artstyle being based on Sonic & Friends.
Not everyone's cup of tea, I guess, but I don't think a fuss should start over the artstyle choice; it IS supposed to be based on Fall Guys after all, which was also pretty chibi in terms of design. Though I do agree that it would be better if it released on console.
All and all it still sounds pretty exciting. Looking forward to it!

As ridiculous as this game sounds, it could breed a really strong speed running community if it takes advantage of typical 3D sonic movement and platforming.

All they had to do was Just take Forces gameplay with avatar creator and have races and battling, level creation and customization on console. And bring back all the multiplayer modes from heroes

@@premydaremy in my hypothetical, the sonic gameplay from forces seems most realistic. It was a step up from cyberspace imo. All they had to do was reskin it and make a race mode. Make it like that Mario 100 game where everyone is racing through classic levels.

Having a lot of playable characters is definitely a huge plus. That's the biggest appeal of speed battle, sonic dash and speed simulator in my opinion honestly.
