I remember like over 5 or 6 years ago, me and my family (only four of us) drove all the way from California to Arizona to visit the Grand Canyon and I remember seeing the number 29 steam locomotive going through the Grand Canyon. It was a very fun experience and I absolutely loved the limited but fun time I spent with my family at the Grand Canyon.
Oh gosh! We just took our first trip on the Grand Canyon Railway not too long ago. I wish we had known about this trip! It would have been amazing to be part of.
I have pictures of the 4960 in black and white when it was in Aurora Illinois on the turntable for a fan trip in 1966 when it was CB&Q Nice to see her again in 2019
I wonder what ever happened to the green Pullman coaches that the railway owned. What happened to them? And also the green observation viewer coach. What ever happened to those green coaches?
Dang, sounds like they were working harder than normal. Is that because of a heavier load or were the engineers giving some stack talk for the cameras?

Awesome. Remember back in '89, the pines growing through the track work. At the triangle, South Rim.

What if 2926 can doublehead with 4960 on an excursion from Williams, Arizona to Los Angeles, California in the future one day?
Better yet, Santa Fe 3751 and Santa Fe 2926 meet up at the Grand Canyon to perform a double-headed excursion around GCR system.

@Steam & Steel Productions at least #4960 is still being used occasionally. I bet GCRY is proud of their steam engines

Спасибо!
I hate the new look of 4960! She looks way too much like a plain USRA 2-8-2! Ugh!
CBNQ I miss that 49 60
