That don’t work on ps5 I got one and never could get mine to work I’ve notice a lot of people had the same problem. Ps5 says can’t use this usb drive as usb extented storage blah blah blah
The light on the Hard Drive typically stays on when connected to the PS5, even if the system is in rest mode. However, when you completely power off the PS5, the drive should turn off as well. If it's staying on when the system is off, double-check your PS5’s power settings to ensure it's set to fully power down the USB ports. Hope this helps clarify things!"
The light is preset and typically stays white or blue depending on the model. It's mainly there to indicate power and activity status. Unfortunately, customization of the LED color isn't available.
@@riazil32hey brother, just bought the same hard drive and watched your video and having the same problem. Which device are you using instead that you can directly play your games from?
@@SSJaredRozay hi, yes I returned this. I bought this instead on prime day > WD_BLACK SN850X 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD, M.2 2280 NVMe SSD with Heatsink It slots into your ps5's storage space under the plates. Watch a UA-cam video on how to install it , it's very easy and has been a game changer because I can play ps5 games directly from this.
I haven't tested this myself, but based on what I know, when you format an external SSD for use with the PS5 to store games, it typically erases everything previously on the drive. If you want to use the same SSD on a PC afterward, you'd likely have to reformat it for the PC, which would delete all the data, including any game files or media stored on it.However, if your primary goal is to store media files (like videos or screenshots) rather than games, you might not need to format the SSD specifically for the PS5. In that case, you could format it in a compatible file system (like exFAT) from the start, which both the PS5 and PC can read and write to. That way, you can move your media between the two without needing to reformat the drive each time. Hope that makes sense.
So to put it simply if you format it as exfat you can use the Seagate game drive to transfer videos to it and upload it to laptop/pc. can it be used in the way I explained? (Sorry I’m late I didn’t see the notification)
I don't understand why some people are saying you can't transfer PS5 games? But isn't that what the hard drive is for? Lol it seems like you did that without a problem. I'm getting this hard drive soon it seems like I just wanted to make sure.
@@papajimmm4318 I'm currently on Amazon looking for a different ones, there's other brands that might be better in that case I don't want to take the risk I'm getting this one and it doesn't work.
Whats even the point of this? I could redownload the game faster than the copy. What a waste of money. They release a digital edition of ps5 with less than 1 TB.
Get an SSD then, this is a Hard Drive. I’d say Hard Drive is good for putting your clips in and PS4 games and to store PS5 games in and download them later when you have no WiFi.
SSD memory is still very expensive and not everyone has the internet speed to keep re-downloading games and patches. This is a cheaper and faster way to archive your game installs and free up the internal SSD memory for game play.
