I don't really watch tech contents like i used to be, but i like this channel because it's chill af. And I am secretly rooting aspiring channels to grow bigger, just like yours.
You're straight to the point and your approach is laid back which is refreshing. You are not about all the drama and post videos for click bait. As long as you're happy and making a living you are not failing.
My current build is largely based on your vids and recommendations. Love this channel! Your help with fan wiring and aio setups has been invaluable. Three thousand subs a month is great, man. Buck up, little soldier!
I did a lot of research for my first build but your videos uniquely helped so much in me getting it done. I couldn't be happier with it! Also I think your news series is great and covers interesting and useful topics without click baity crap. Keep it up Prawn, anyone with sense will stick around for your channel.
Hey Prawn, me and my boyfriend love your videos. Your content is very detailed and non bias. Truly one of our favourite tech creator. keep up the great work! "Hello this is the Provoked Prawn" makes me smile every time 😁
You're never a failure if what you do helps people. I posted that and then about 2 minutes later you say you like helping people. So, there, you're not a failure.
I've really enjoyed your content. Started working on building my first PC. Found your channel and have found myself constantly going back. Great information and presented in a very understandable way.
Howdy 🤠 I’ve been subbed for many years, I watch a large majority of your videos. Even if it’s not a product I need, I just really enjoy your content. You’ve been one of my inspirations as I’m also a UA-camr. I’ve hit a wall recently and things are slowing down and I’m so glad you made this video. I’ve been trying to find out what I can do better and what I might be doing wrong. You’re right, it’s hard to please everyone. I really thank you for this candid video and being honest. I really have always appreciated your chill vibe. You gave me a ton of insights in this video and I really appreciate it ! ❤
Thanks for that. I could certainly give lots of advice, though not on how to get a million subs obviously! Haha. Definitely do not try to please everyone. My advice is to do what interests you and ignore the haters (which isn't easy). Then just try to improve all the time and look for new ways to do that. Whether it's being shorter and more concise than the competition or more in depth and detailed than anyone else or a healthy mix of both.
Hey Prawn, just wanted to say I’ve been enjoying a bunch of your content and even after watching just one or two of your build/wiring guides, subscribed because of the sincerity that comes off through your videos. I don’t know if you understand how many people you help with these. It’s so easy to get down on yourself in this career path because everything is dictated by numbers. It’s definitely something I struggle with too, but breaking away from the numbers side of things and just creating content that you genuinely enjoy is very important. Thanks for what you do.
you helped me with my curent build if it wasent for you i would have ben pulling my hair out lol but i still watch you stuff love you content keep your head up man
It has been about 5 years since I built my last PC and the imminent release of MSFS 2024 prompted me to build again. I found your detailed build guides invaluable in selecting my components, wiring them, and get everything up and running. Subscribing was a no brainer, even though I probably won't be building again for a while. I will continue to watch!
@@TheProvokedPrawn All Liam Li, TL reverse, TL LCD, AIO, Evo XL, 4080 Super, 9800x3d, 670e crosshair hero, put together after watching your videos. Thank you!
I started watching you a few months back when I first started planning my new build. I posted my build in your discord and really appreciated your feedback. I'm rooting for you. Your technical knowledge and chill personality are what drew me to this channel. I wish you the best.
Dear Mr. Prawn, thank you for this story. I'm a first time builder, in fact I won't be building my first PC until the end of this month. I've now watched a lot of your videos, most of them from start to finish. They are extremely educational for me. By the way, I think that applies to every newbie. I'm always impressed by how much effort you put into your videos. Like recently with the Lian Li O11 Vision Compact. I really enjoyed it. That effort is also the reason I became a member. Even after I have built my PC, I think I will continue to follow you and remain a member. (By the way, I probably will also keep following and remain a member of Mike's unboxing, love his channel too) After all, new products are always coming onto the market. I think that for many builders a PC is never completely finished. That's the fun of those things. And after all, it's all about fun, right? I can't thank you enough for all your videos so far. Please keep it up you brilliant prawn! Greetings, Ritsaert.
Don't be silly. Unless your only goal is to get wealthy, by no means should you be considered a failure. You've created a great library of really useful content and always do a good job. You should be proud.
You've been a big help on my recent build and decisions leading up to it. I recently subscribed and really enjoy your presentation and personality. Not a failure!
You are not failing, you are helping people when they need it. Your content is searchable, and when people find you, you are helping them. If they are keen on tech they might subscribe, but chances are they are shopping for something and want some perspective. They same applies when i want to know how to do something on my car for instance, i watch the video and use the information and get on with my life. You are getting good views and sub count is climbing, take that as a win. We have similar channels and similar view count and subs, and i consider our growth to be totally normal without becoming a complete sell out shill. Although another angle is that you are a middle aged man dressing up as a prawn. Some might consider that a bit weird or not the sort of thing they feel comfortable subscribing to. But we are all different, you do you.
Thanks Mike. "watch and get on with my life" is what I think happens mostly and makes sense. I need to work out what to do to bring those people back for more I guess
@@TheProvokedPrawn don't worry about it, just be your genuine self. Being what other people want you to be is hard to maintain and wastes energy. with the huge amount of new channels and tech being mostly crap for the last few years and of course the huge increases in pricing means people are less interested in the tech space. the big channels are growing, but at nowhere near the rate they did. Unless they buy views or invest in advertising on UA-cam. There are a few in the UK tech space that have got massive increases in sub counts, but terrible views. that is a sure sign of buying subs. It's not worth it.
I love your videos and your voice, and have been watching for years. I really don't subscribe to a lot of people because I want my feed to remain random, but I've subscribed to you because you have earned it from my end. Really appreciate it, mate. Thanks for all that you do.
Ive been a subscriber since 2020 and I always look forward to the videos you upload! Your channel is super chill, I love the in depth content you produce, and your voice on mic is more soothing than a mothers lullaby. Like you said in this video.. you get to craft the videos you are happy with.. and that's all that matters! I know you are trying to make it on UA-cam since moving to content creation full-time but 150K subscribers is A LOT of people! Imagine speaking in front of that many people in person. I tell all my friends, coworkers, and acquaintances about your channel hoping they will spread the word and get you the recognition that you deserve! I understand that subscribers, retention rate, and views are the driving factors on UA-cam that drive "success" ... but to me and 150K+ people... you are anything but a failure! WE LOVE YOU PRAWN! Please keep doing what you're doing.
I just found your channel a couple of weeks ago, and I just started my first pc build today. You were an absolute life saver with your video on the Lian Li 011 Dynamic Evo XL. I'll keep coming back because the more I learn about a variety of products, the more I learn about the subject in general. I find it useful. Thank you for your work, sir.
Hey man, I know your videos don't get the amount of views they deserve in my opinion, but I regularly watch and enjoy your videos. It's easy for me to say don't get disheartened but know that you have an audience. Like you said, as long as you're happy at the end of the day with the content you make and you're doing the videos you want, I'd consider that a success. I think the growth will come.
I built a new PC almost a year ago. At the time, I had very little knowledge about hardware, then I came across your channel. Your videos immediately caught my attention because of how genuine, detailed and in depth they are. You not only explain the pros and cons thoroughly but also make the process easy to follow. Thanks to your content, I learned how to properly connect cables from the PSU to various components and gained a much better understanding of the overall assembly process. Additionally you cover products that are rarely done by good hardware channels. One of the reasons I have stopped relying on bigger UA-camrs is that they often focus only on the final result. They rarely explain the steps that got them there and their content feels more towards pleasing businesses than genuinely sharing info about a product. Looking forward to more amazing videos 👍
This channel has been such a great resource when I’m researching new parts and how they work! This channel is the reason that I have the build that I do, because you provided so much feedback in your reviews and tutorials! Much appreciated!
This year i decided to build my first PC. I know NOTHING about PCs, but i still wanted to do it. So i started looking for help here on youtube. I watched a LOT of videos and to be honest it didn't help. Some of them even made everything worse, making things look impossible or hard to understand. Until i found your channel. You literally helped me build my first pc. I did absolutely everything: From the thermal paste to the cable management. And it worked! And i love it. You also helped me with the bios, without you, i would have not know about the i9 drama and how to fix it! I just wanted to say thank you, and i hope you stay on this platform because trust me, there are a lot of people like me and i hope one day they find your channel!
I know how you feel, I too sometimes think I’m bad a most things and there is always doubt, but we have to keep pushing. We really enjoy your content and I have learned a lot from it. Thank you for all you do, and don’t stop pushing for your best. 👊🏼
Only having recently discovered your channel, I've found the videos informative, detailed and engaging. I like you've done a video here on your own "Church of Failure" too! Recognising the failures and where we can improve shows you are growing! Congrats on the channel
It's your build guides are chill and very informative. They helped me a lot for the custom builds my clients want. Your tech news content is also refreshing. Appreciate a lot of the things you do. Failure is when you stop doing the things that you love to do.
Your wiring guides in particular are what had me coming back to the channel and looking for other products I've thought about using. I've been building PCs for a long time but I do a lot of research on what I'm going to buy. So I think the detailed and thoughtful approach is something that sets you apart from a lot of other channels who might quickly review a product but just end up repeating the same things you could read from the marketing materials. Having someone talk about the process of building with the product and the issues or pitfalls they ran into is what is valuable to me.
ive only got back into pc about 3 yrs. after a 10n yr gap. mostly flight sim vr. your content has inspired me and saved me yrs of experimenting and saved me 1000s of pounds. the way you build and show the same case with many diff styles, me and and grandkids are now in full debate over which style. that THEY WILL BUILD thier 1st pc. best argument in this house ever . love it, and thankyou sir. your helping me building memories with the gkids. happy memories and knowledge they will carry thru out thier lives. and will still bring smiles after we are long gone.
Found your content is so valuable. Your build guides, product explanations and ability to clearly go through installations are all excellent and so helpful. Your personality comes through in them and as odd as it sounds, it helps that you have a chill tone. Keep up the great work. I hadn't built a PC since 2015, many components have changed and now I feel in the know again :)
Hey Prawn, your videos are perfect for people who are now getting into building a PC, like myself, out of all the channels, I prefer yours because of how detailed it is. I really liked the Lian Li O11D Evo RGB build, it helped me make the decision to buy that case. I watched all the different case videos and appreciate the effort that goes into showing the different features and compatibility of those cases. Even the Lian Li fan videos helped me decide which fan I want to buy. Keep doing what you're doing, your channel will grow. Thanks for the helpful videos.
We love your channel and we are all struggling making tech videos on UA-cam. The interest in PCs is fading. Views are down site-wide for all of us in tech review. Please don't pander to the audience. Be true to yourself and follow your passion. Trying to please a fickle audience is unsustainable. Not all viewers are equal. Just having more viewers is NOT automatically better unless they are GOOD viewers. Make silly cat videos if you want to appeal to the masses. Otherwise, keep calm and carry on!
You do a great service with your unboxings and tutorials. You’ve personally helped me make several decisions regarding product choices. There are a lot of channels who do these things but you really do showcase things clearly and concisely. Thank you so much for what you do!
This spring I was assembling my first AM5 PC and I watched a lot of different content on this topic beforehand, but thanks to your videos and detailed explanations, I learned a lot and was able to compare, choose what suits me and put everything together. You're one of the few UA-camrs in this niche that I haven't unsubscribed from since, purely because of the presentation and overall vibe of the channel! Maybe your ratings aren't as “successful”, but in my subjective opinion, you're much better than the big channels, which are actually more annoying and don't make me want to watch them over time.
Your lian Li guides actually are what allowed me to build my first PC! I did it in the Lian Li EVO RGB with TL LCD, SL-INF fans and GA II LCD AIO, musta watched each guide like 10 times even in slow mo. Literally the best guide on the internet!! Thank you!
@@TheProvokedPrawn thats awesome! it really is confusing but your tip about the special controller that comes with the GA II SL-INF vs the 3 pck fan kit is what gave me the idea =)
I like your stuff, brother. Honestly, I'm at an experience level where I don't particularly need a lot of this type of content... But I still watch it as there's tons of people that are new to building and it's super helpful having a resource I consider good enough to point them to. Can't tell you how many thousands of posts I see in Facebook groups where people clearly are in need of the instruction style you provide.
@TheProvokedPrawn I do a lot of custom loop stuff. The issue is there's just not a huge audience for it and I could imagine it costing a ton to do those builds with little return on your end . I think what you're doing is great, It helps a much larger audience. Are you in Facebook groups for PC building? I could see you driving a lot of traffic from that as your videos are much more helpful than the majority on here, it's just a matter of getting people to see them.
You're FAR more helpful than channels like Gamers Nexus imo. You make videos on actual issues people new to this stuff are likely to run into. I don't make videos myself, just not my thing... So if I need a visual example of something I'm trying to explain to someone I'll point them your way as you've usually covered it
@evaloutionofman yeah custom loop is tough. I'm not good at it plus the time investment is huge for not only doing it but recording too. I would like to but the ROI will be rubbish. I haven't thought about Facebook groups. That's an interesting suggestion. I do get recommended on Reddit by people though, which is nice
I'd definitely try it for engagement(Facebook, not the custom loops). There's so much terrible information in some of those groups. You can tell half the people giving advice have never even tried what they are recommending to people. Your behind the scenes content is especially great. I like that you include your mistakes. A lot of people online just give rote info, seeing the actual process and what can go wrong really helps people learn rather than just copy and run into issues from a lack of understanding.
Just so you know, you are the most detailed tech youtuber ever. Your builds guide especially for Lian Li product is top notch. Without your video, I might have been at the total loss on how to proceed with my pc build. Keep up your good work. I am so totally look forward for your Lancool 217 build as the case will be coming later on near this year's end.
Everytime I’ve needed help with a Pc part or build guide you’ve somehow always have a video that’s about it. I can’t thank you enough, your videos are amazing.
I found you while doing my first build just this week and you were a huge help. I've stuck around because you are more than just that and I'm always up for learning multiple aspects of the PC world. If you wanted an in depth deep dive for which I found no UA-cam content for, that would be RGB, ARGB, 12v, 5v, controllers and that whole mess. Although some people consider it a niche thing my build had a few RGB components as they actually the most affordable for quality.
I just wanted to say, thank you! You're doing a fantastic job, and I really appreciate your content. It has helped me a ton while budling my first PC! Keep it up!!!!👊
I only started watching tech/pc videos as of late last year when I decided I wanted to build my own pc. Stuck around because I like your no nonsense approach and chill attitude. Keep doing you and the right people will stick around ^^
You do you and stay true to yourself. What you said regarding people watch your videos, get what they want and don't need to subscribe is how I found your videos. I was doing a recent build. I ended up watching a few of your videos throughout the build. I can't say why I didn't subscribe, but maybe you're right - once my build was done, I didn't need the content anymore. But also, the tech UA-cam space is incredibly saturated with content creators so the fact that you are successful as you are is a feat in itself. UA-cam put this video in my recommended for today. I'll subscribe and stick around and watch the content going forward to support you.
Yeah I'm not sure what to do about it really or whether I even need to. More of this more personable content too I guess. Thanks for watching and subbing
Just stumbled across your channel a couple of weeks ago. Currently, building a Lian Li case. Your content is well thought out and professional. I personally don’t find your content patronizing and I have Dr in front of my name. In fact it’s very informative and helpful . Maybe to increase viewership: make shorts, create a patron, do consults, live streams, etc. You’ll need help, maybe your daughter can help if she’s old enough. You’re doing what you love and it shows :)
I love your videos! I built my first gaming pc 3 weeks ago with your videos. I built with a Corsair 5000D along with An Asus Tuf Gaming Z790 Plus Wifi mobo, Intel I9 14900k cpu, Corsair rm1200x shift psu, Icue Link H150i Lcd Aio, 10 White Icue QX120 rgb fans and 2 6600 mhz Icue Dominator titanium ddr5 ram.and Sapphire Nitro+ RX 7900 XT graphics card. With your videos, I built it in no time. Your videos are amazingly useful! Keep Going!!
I’m more than happy, it’s a white build apart from the motherboard and the graphics card is the same colour as the motherboard but it all looks co-ordinated so I’m very happy!
As one of your beloved subscribers, i can most definately tell you that you are far from failing, at least in the essence of what a youtube channel is. I build my first PC after 10 years a year or so ago and your video regarding the Lian Li inf fans was the best guide i found and helped me install them with no issues. I know its not a big deal but i was really greatful for that. Keep it up mate.
It has only been just over a year full time. I love to watch your videos, although i have built several pcs i still enjoy watching your content. Hope you can get more growth, great work.
Based on some of the comments here, it seems like you've got a decent community built up in Discord. Perhaps involving some of that in your videos (reviewing computers you helped your viewers build, etc.) would help convey that sense of community up front. That way, people get the helpful videos they need, but they get exposed to more than just the tip of the iceberg.
Only very recently come across your channel and personally I love the product focused content and its all informative and relevant in an easier to digest format. Plus you have a soulful voice! Keep up the good work!
I love your channel, and I think what you're doing is extremely helpful for people. I will say I am someone who hasn't subscribed even after over 2 years of watching. Mostly because of all of the helpful content you put out that I personally don't really need. From the looks of it, I end up watching around 20% of your videos. I only subscribe when I know I'll watch close to every video. There are a number of channels like that for me, where I use the recommended section to get to those videos I want to watch. If I subscribed to all of those channels, my subscription page fills up like crazy with things I probably won't click on.
I subscribed to you the very first video I watched, trying to figure out how to wire some fans when I was a novice. Love your delivery and the quality of your videos, and your accent makes it a nice audio experience too.
It's thanks you I was able build my first PC. I watched your videos religiously, on repeat. You literally had a guide for every product i wanted.. i eventually went for it. I had your video playing as I built and it was the most in depth detailed guide/guides ive ever seen. Anytime I'd get stuck on the smallest thing, BOOM..it was there in your video. Im thankful to you, as many others are.
Dude, you've helped me with keyboards, monitors and now recently, psu wiring and fan wiring, you are a huge help and when I search tutorial things about PC gaming in general when I see 'Provoked Prawn' video I race to click on it knowing I am going to get quality and most importantly, honesty, I just want to than you for that yessir🙏🏼
I gravitated to your videos because you feature the product more than showing your face. I actually like that aspect. Your videos helped me build my dream pc but I'll still watch for tech news. The extent of my engagement as a viewer is liking or subbing. I'm subscribed to the bigger tech content creators you mentioned, but can appreciate what you bring to the table that is uniquely you. I hope you find happiness in what you do, regardless of your success.
I just found your channel while researching cases. Instant sub. So while I’ve only been subscriber for like 36 hours now, I’m really enjoying your content. Keep it up, and don’t give up. 💪
I like your content. You helped me when you were showing the various ways to connect RGB fans to a separate controller and / or to the motherboard. I love the detailed videos you do, nothing is left unexplained. Cheers.
Hi there just to say you are not failing as it takes a lot of time and effort to make You tube work for you !! I built my AM 4 system in a 4000D a few years ago and wanted to freshen up my build as i replaced my hardware last month " AM5 " and i found you looking for case builds because i was torn between the a corsair 5000d and the 3500x and AIO rotations and found that you could install AIO tubes down on backwall and have now settled on the 3500x because of your video, and yes i came here for that specific reason but it i am in to pc tech so i followed you, your video's are great and informative keep with it and yes i subscribe to all you mentioned in your video and yes you could do this and that to make them more appealing but i would just be you self and be happy with the fact that you are really helping people build their fist pc or looking for that one thing no one else has done.
You'll get there Prawn don't beat yourself up about the metrics. There's tons of people like myself that have used your videos to help guide them during the installation numerous PC components. You got this my man, everything will gain traction in the UA-cam algorithms. I thank you for all your present content and also in advance for any future content. Your the man don't ever doubt that!!!!!
I recently found out your channel when I was looking to buy a new mouse and keyboard and a found your review about Logitech g915 tkl and g502 light speed mouse and immediately ordered both after watching the reviews, (ofc the white tactile version of keyboard as you suggested) and I must say that your review of the Lian Li Lancool 207 case is by far the best out there, I didn't subscribed then but i have subscribed right now after watching this video so keep it up man, your style of making videos is unique, we can't afford to lose you!
Respectfully, i find your broadcasts to be brilliant. Informative and over the years an integral part of my tech world. I don't understand how such a channel would promote negativity. That is absolutely the issue for the person making such an expression. Keep doing what you're doing. Please.
You’re one of the best brother, I used your videos when completing my lian li vision compact build last week. Love your work…and channel name 😅. I catch myself just saying Provoked Prawn in a British accent sometimes because it’s funny and silly 😂😂😂
@TheProvokedPrawn The build went great except for the aio getting stuck, did a pull push setup. But in the end its the most beautiful and premium system I've ever built. Thank you
i started making content 4 years ago, you´re one of my inspirations when i make my videos... When you talk about that indepth content i see myself there. People doesn´t even realize how much effort is in this kind of content, from the moment you sit to writte a script, organize ideas, correct, remove or add, then sit down and record that script, trying to "memorize" each paragraph (or at least most of them to not read in front of the camera), cutting full video, then take the shots with the best possible clarity, quality and detail, adding to the initial video, then watching it again and a lot of detail´s that people don´t know about. I make videos about PC building for latin community with all the info and details i can put, the work behind every video iS UNBELIEVABLE but what you say it´s true... the feeling when someone who doesn´t even know a single gram of PC building puts a comment saying that thanks to you they built their first PC is PRICELESS, just wanna make you start another video process (also money too LOL but we are all looking for money right?). Just wanted to thank you for being one of those inspirations in my work, maybe our content is not viral explosive but it´s very noble and in long term everyone knows this is Quality content to the point they can watch a 20, 30 or 40 min video without getting bored thanks to all the info they get. -Sorry if my english isn´t that good-
I think you are doing great. I have built several computers but I still look at your videos if I am doing something new or different to decide what to buy/use and setup.
Let me tell you this you are not failing as a UA-camr you are one of the main channels i come to to view builds and what's new i've been doing youtube since 2007 and had downfalls as my channel being hacked losing over 100k followers. yeah it can get to you but the need for doing this for fun is gone as its now about money. i've just now in the year started asking people to follow and sub as my follower told me i needed to start doing this. my channel was always about helping people learn how to fix programs or hardware or software i always did things as someone that shoots raw and unedited but do to other channels with the b-roll and everthing else don't give the viewer what there looking for. thats why i watch your videos...
I enjoy your content and you helped me with my first PC build a few years ago. Success can be fleeting, but you are providing meaningful and engaging content to a lot of people. You should do what continues to make you happy - are you enjoying your content? If so, carry on! Thank you for the time and energy you have invested in your channel, it is definitely appreciated :)
I subbed after watching build guides for a couple of the components I bought for my new PC. I won't build a new PC for another 7-8 years but I still enjoy watching your videos fwiw.
Your channel has always had excellent quality and I really appreciate your content. It's sad how little your viewership your channel draws because you're one of my favorite tech reviewers. I constantly use your videos to certain tech to my friends that they're interested in buying (i.e. alternatives to Stream Decks) and have definitely used them myself to determine things I want to buy.
I don't know anything about the economics of youtubing but I think you're answering your own question which is that people will stumble across your channel for a quick guide to install a component or for a review. What makes people stick around is whether they enjoyed your presentation. I like your delivery, deep voice and it's easy to understand when you explain things. I also appreciate your honesty when a build doesn't work as intended. I think the news segment is very good because we get to know you and that makes me want to stick around as opposed to just seeing reviews that I may or may not be interested in. Keep making content that you would want to watch and don't try to make content to please anyone else. I'm not sure if that will make you a 'success' in your eyes but you'll have fun along the way.
I really enjoy your content and presentation style. I found you when doing research into headphones now watch as much as I can. Even though I’m very experienced in tech, I really enjoy your in depth guides so I know the good and bad of products before spending money, or get info on products I might otherwise not consider.
I've been building systems since the early 90's, and i find your content very solid and covers all the bases for those that are starting out. Your producing detailed guides that virtually nobody does, especially wiring guides for AIO's and controllers (which even confuse the hell out of me sometimes). You channel imo is better those bigger content creators, because they stopped doing the things that most ppl watch for. GamersNexus is another one that covers things in detail, although he could talk for 45mins about a lightbulb sometimes. lol
Failure / Success or not, your videos are great ! IMO best in class and helped me alot. Your in-depth build with O11 evo dynamic XL helped alot to figure out which way I would build. When I had troubles with the lian li infinity fans, your in depth explanation of them was a life saver. Keep doing what you're doing, its why I choose to see your videos ! Thanks !
To echo a lot of what other people have already said here, something that puts me off watching tech videos on here is how over edited, produced and loud the videos generally are. I’ve always enjoyed the lowkey approach and straight to the point videos and you do that brilliantly!
Keep up the great work mate! I find your voice soothing and your presentation with focusing on the product great for me. Watching your video on the o11 evo and SL v2 fans made me build an updated pc, your video on the streamdeck + helped me make my choice to get one. Personally for me I like content that is focused on the product and less on the presenter but thats me. Dont give up!!
I haven't been a subscriber of yours for long, but I love your videos! I recently built a PC with a couple of your tutorials for different parts of my build, and your voice really helped to calm me as I was super stressed building a PC for the first time lol You're not a failure, I'm sure you've helped A LOT of people, and it's just a matter of time before you get the recognition you well deserve 🦐
Thanks Matt. I've had a few people say I've helped keep them calm while building. Though other people will say stuff like "WTF is wrong with your voice" or "need to watch at 2 x speed". You can't please everyone I guess 😂
You are doing well mate, I would love to have as big a channel as you have. I have found UA-cam a lot harder then it seemed when I started, Tech is a little down now as prices are far too high now and that has put people off. The budget space is difficult as most people will just buy a PS5 instead of looking for a budget PC these days as consoles are performing near or better then most budget PCs. Just keep doing what you can, I just see this as a hobby that if it goes to being a job then great but I get it if this is your main job and feel like things aren't growing very well. I think the best thing is as you said you have your freedom and are self employed which is a thing that most people can only dream about so take that as a win.
Honestly I wish I had 3000 subs a month on my old channel and what you're doing is valuable and really helpful. That in itself is a non-trivial achievment. I mean you helped one of the most confused creatures on earth build their own PC.
It is decent absolutely. For ages it was 1500 subs a month. There's a glass ceiling it seems. I've been about this level all year. It's very strange but I do appreciate it. My gaming channel only has 100 a month 😁😝
@@TheProvokedPrawn I think evaluating what it is that you want to reach with your channel(s) and then slowly learning how to get there is key. In this day and age that is not easy at all. I myself have been attempting to devise some feasible plans. Your content is well thought-out, easy to follow and a godsend for anyone who watches it. I'm confident you'll get to where you wanna go, eventually. And a 100% subscriber gain is impressive, anyway.❤️❤️
I don't really watch tech contents like i used to be, but i like this channel because it's chill af. And I am secretly rooting aspiring channels to grow bigger, just like yours.
Thank you. I am too tired to be anything but relaxed. 😂 Appreciate the support too.
Failures are inevitable on the road to success. For the record, your various builds are great. They provide inspiration.
Also, my PC demographic, middle aged, dozen+ lifetime builds. Enthusiast.
You're straight to the point and your approach is laid back which is refreshing. You are not about all the drama and post videos for click bait. As long as you're happy and making a living you are not failing.
Many thanks!
I appreciate your content & presentation style! You’re really the only tech channel I watch and helped me a lot last year when I built my first pc
That's very kind. Thank you
My current build is largely based on your vids and recommendations. Love this channel! Your help with fan wiring and aio setups has been invaluable. Three thousand subs a month is great, man. Buck up, little soldier!
Thanks Monkey. I appreciate your support. It's nice seeing your name in comments regularly.
I did a lot of research for my first build but your videos uniquely helped so much in me getting it done. I couldn't be happier with it!
Also I think your news series is great and covers interesting and useful topics without click baity crap. Keep it up Prawn, anyone with sense will stick around for your channel.
Thank you kindly
Hey Prawn, me and my boyfriend love your videos. Your content is very detailed and non bias. Truly one of our favourite tech creator. keep up the great work! "Hello this is the Provoked Prawn" makes me smile every time 😁
Thanks to both of you!
You're never a failure if what you do helps people. I posted that and then about 2 minutes later you say you like helping people. So, there, you're not a failure.
I do thoroughly enjoy helping people.
I've really enjoyed your content. Started working on building my first PC. Found your channel and have found myself constantly going back. Great information and presented in a very understandable way.
Thank you. Glad I've helped! Hope the build went smoothly
Thank you very much!
Subbed. All your video is extremely helpful, easy to understand, and high quality. Thanks for your hard work.
Awesome, thank you!
you helped me with my curent build if it wasent for you i would have ben pulling my hair out lol but i still watch you stuff love you content keep your head up man
Thanks for sharing. Glad I helped!
Hope you've got a great rig!
@@TheProvokedPrawn All Liam Li, TL reverse, TL LCD, AIO, Evo XL, 4080 Super, 9800x3d, 670e crosshair hero, put together after watching your videos. Thank you!
You are not raining in my eyes.
Keep up the excellent work my friend. 👍🏻
Thank you. 🙏🏻
I started watching you a few months back when I first started planning my new build. I posted my build in your discord and really appreciated your feedback. I'm rooting for you. Your technical knowledge and chill personality are what drew me to this channel. I wish you the best.
Thanks Steve. Appreciate it!
(By the way, I probably will also keep following and remain a member of Mike's unboxing, love his channel too)
After all, new products are always coming onto the market.
I think that for many builders a PC is never completely finished. That's the fun of those things.
And after all, it's all about fun, right?
I can't thank you enough for all your videos so far.
Please keep it up you brilliant prawn!
Greetings, Ritsaert.
Thank you for the kind words and insights and for being a member! Appreciate you.
Hope the build went smoothly!
@@TheProvokedPrawnI actually love the prawn approach lol, makes you seem more recognizable, and unique.
@@kithalie thanks!
Keep up the good work, mate. Your videos are super helpful for PC enthusiasts. Thank you for that.
Very kind. Thank you.
Thank you very much for the kind words 😁 I wish all the subscribers watched every video 😁🤣
Thanks for watching. Glad I helped.
Thanks very much for watching and leaving such a nice comment!
This channel has been such a great resource when I’m researching new parts and how they work! This channel is the reason that I have the build that I do, because you provided so much feedback in your reviews and tutorials! Much appreciated!
Thanks!
I did absolutely everything:
From the thermal paste to the cable management.
And it worked! And i love it.
You also helped me with the bios, without you, i would have not know about the i9 drama and how to fix it!
I just wanted to say thank you, and i hope you stay on this platform because trust me, there are a lot of people like me and i hope one day they find your channel!
Thanks for taking the time to say this I really appreciate it.
I know how you feel, I too sometimes think I’m bad a most things and there is always doubt, but we have to keep pushing. We really enjoy your content and I have learned a lot from it. Thank you for all you do, and don’t stop pushing for your best. 👊🏼
Imposter syndrome is the worst.
@@TheProvokedPrawn Yes, I am aware of that term, and you are right
Just recently found you and find your content top tier. If I’m trying to look something up and your content comes up I know it’s all I will need.
Awesome, thank you!
Perfect. Glad my logic works then! Thanks
ive only got back into pc about 3 yrs. after a 10n yr gap. mostly flight sim vr. your content has inspired me and saved me yrs of experimenting and saved me 1000s of pounds. the way you build and show the same case with many diff styles, me and and grandkids are now in full debate over which style. that THEY WILL BUILD thier 1st pc. best argument in this house ever . love it, and thankyou sir. your helping me building memories with the gkids. happy memories and knowledge they will carry thru out thier lives. and will still bring smiles after we are long gone.
That's lovely to read. Thank you.
Thank you . Glad. I've been helpful
Thanks very much 😊
We love your channel and we are all struggling making tech videos on UA-cam.
Dogs are cooler than cats
@@TheProvokedPrawn I agree, but they may not get the views. :D
i personally love your videos and channel and hope the channel doesnt go away
You do a great service with your unboxings and tutorials. You’ve personally helped me make several decisions regarding product choices. There are a lot of channels who do these things but you really do showcase things clearly and concisely.
Thank you so much for what you do!
Awesome! Thank you!
Thank you!
Nice work! Thanks for sharing. I am planning on doing a guide on how to mix TL and SL fans as people keep asking.
What would be good for your level?
Thanks very much!
Everytime I’ve needed help with a Pc part or build guide you’ve somehow always have a video that’s about it. I can’t thank you enough, your videos are amazing.
And I can't thank you enough for watching
Please don't stop posting all your videos. I've been watching waiting as I assemble parts for a new build, all Lian Li focused.
Hope I was useful!

Glad you like them! It really is a lot of effort but comments like this make it worthwhile
I only started watching tech/pc videos as of late last year when I decided I wanted to build my own pc. Stuck around because I like your no nonsense approach and chill attitude. Keep doing you and the right people will stick around ^^
That's awesome! Thank you
You do you and stay true to yourself.

Thanks for the input!

That's fair. And makes sense. If you could like and comment at least that would be appreciated! 👍😜
I subscribed to you the very first video I watched, trying to figure out how to wire some fans when I was a novice. Love your delivery and the quality of your videos, and your accent makes it a nice audio experience too.

Thanks! Hope you enjoy the case.
You'll get there Prawn don't beat yourself up about the metrics. There's tons of people like myself that have used your videos to help guide them during the installation numerous PC components.
-Sorry if my english isn´t that good-
@@elmacmado thanks for sharing..hope you grow swiftly!
I think you are doing great. I have built several computers but I still look at your videos if I am doing something new or different to decide what to buy/use and setup.
I appreciate that!
I watch every video you post. You are my fave tech reviewer and I definitely smoke and watch your videos and share them with my techie friends.
You rock!
Very much enjoying myself yes.
Rarely comment. But your videos are great, and not the normal formula which is what makes them intriguing to watch. Keep up the great work my friend.
Thanks Iain 👍
I subbed after watching build guides for a couple of the components I bought for my new PC.
I won't build a new PC for another 7-8 years but I still enjoy watching your videos fwiw.
Hopefully I'm still doing things then!
Thank you very much
Great video mate, never change, keep pushing!!! Your videos make me want to be a prawn when I grow up ❤❤❤
I don't know anything about the economics of youtubing but I think you're answering your own question which is that people will stumble across your channel for a quick guide to install a component or for a review.
Thanks for your thoughts! Appreciate it!
The algorithm is crazy and just want to say your builds are great and still find all your vids useful!
Thanks very much. Appreciate you.
Keep up the good work my friend never change & believe in yourself
I appreciate that
I really enjoy your content and presentation style. I found you when doing research into headphones now watch as much as I can. Even though I’m very experienced in tech, I really enjoy your in depth guides so I know the good and bad of products before spending money, or get info on products I might otherwise not consider.
Awesome, thank you!
GamersNexus is another one that covers things in detail, although he could talk for 45mins about a lightbulb sometimes. lol
He could talk the hind legs off a donkey. 😃
Thanks !
Excellent! Glad I helped you out
To echo a lot of what other people have already said here, something that puts me off watching tech videos on here is how over edited, produced and loud the videos generally are. I’ve always enjoyed the lowkey approach and straight to the point videos and you do that brilliantly!
Thank you
Keep up the great work mate!
Nice. Glad to see my logic is right in some places.
I subbed after the first video of yours I watched, I know quality when I see it.. keep up the great work man
Thanks for the sub Kevin. Appreciate it.
I haven't been a subscriber of yours for long, but I love your videos! I recently built a PC with a couple of your tutorials for different parts of my build, and your voice really helped to calm me as I was super stressed building a PC for the first time lol
You're not a failure, I'm sure you've helped A LOT of people, and it's just a matter of time before you get the recognition you well deserve 🦐
Thanks Matt. I've had a few people say I've helped keep them calm while building. Though other people will say stuff like "WTF is wrong with your voice" or "need to watch at 2 x speed". You can't please everyone I guess 😂
Love your content and audio quality. Keep up the great work.
Much appreciated!
Just keep doing it as a hobby and it'll get there. Took me years of grinding in the evenings and mornings to get here.
Recently stumbled onto your channel and instantly subscribed. I find your videos really chill and informative. Keep it up!
Awesome, thank you!
Howdy Sir, Your review style is unparallel. Not many youtubers have your demeanor nor voice, Keep at it.
Thanks Micaiah
