I got an Arctis Pro but returned them due to mic issue. Got Audeze Penrose for my PS5 and the difference is like night and day. These sound like on a different league altogether, the imaging and layering is amazing. You can also use these as Bluetooth Music headsets is another bonus. They're my best $300 ever spent!!!
That mic on the Mobius has to be by far the best gaming headset mic I've ever heard. The wireless one wasn't terrible for a wireless but the Mobius was amazing
why do i feel like he messed up and used the wrong mic on the tests. if the bigger better looking mic belonged to the yellow one why did it sound like ass and the smaller cheaper mic sound amazing?
Mine broke within a month of having them. Gives me a crinkling sound in the right ear with the slightest move of my head. How long have you had yours, and did you run into this issue?
@@FoeverDirt in a video by Detroit fury reviewing these he has a link to a side effect official answer to your problem. In short they say if u slam them around or force air threw them while sealed to your head it damages the membrane that makes the sound and causes crinkle and crackle.

Any of the 3 are good value at their respective price points. 7x possibly a little expensive. Xbox official wireless are under priced Penrose X at the £250 i paid are also under priced.
@@TheTechne So tech i recently got the Corsair virtuoso rgb xt the sound to me could be better for a wireless headset I play on ps4 console and it doesn’t seem enough to me for the price sound wise but the easy installation and mic and overall build quality is excellent but I feel like I should return them for audeze penroze would you recommend that cause all I want is a good sounding headset that is wireless and worth the money.
Finally!!! After months of research for a great Xbox headset I finally spent the $$ on the penrose X and it’s stinking awesome! The sound alone is worth the price!
at last you got them. i too told you about them months ago here some info for you: Audeze (pronounced "odyssey") was founded out of a garage in 2008, after its founders came across a revolutionary flexible circuit material that had originally been developed for NASA. Realizing it's potential in planar magnetic technology, they began designing a new line of speakers and headphones. Their original model, the LCD-1 was a huge hit at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest, and launched the company in earnest - with a name inspired by the film 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Got mine Audeze Penrose (non x version) for about a month now. And have to say they really are amazing. The clamping force is something I personally like, makes them feel very secure. But that's personal and I can imagine they might feel a bit tight for others. The sound out of the box is really good, but you can EQ it with 125hz (-1) 250hz (-2) 2khz (1) 4khz (2) to better improve instrument separation or 125hz (-1) 250hz (-3) 500hz (-1) 2khz(1) 4khz (2) for absolute clarity and distinct bass. The range is fine by me. sound drops after about 8-10 meters, depending if anything else that's blocking the signal (doors, reinforced concrete).
Max Shaw 0 seconds ago hey, I'm looking at the Penrose for the PS5... I'm coming from some older Sennheiser game zeros which I've used since 2017! looking for a wireless upgrade in terms of sound quality and making the most of Sony's tempest software. Considering these as well as the Steelseries Arctis pro wireless. However, I am put off by the fact that even after the firmware update to the pros they clearly still have issues with optimization for PS5. (maybe the new arctis 7p+ would be better optimized but I have seen a few reviews saying that the sound is lackluster overall)... these Penrose headsets seem to hit the mark with everything for me I would like to know what your thoughts are on them?
Thank you for your help. I’ve been looking for the best wireless gaming headset and these seem like they could be the one but I need an app to get 3D surround to pin point the enemy for my FPS side of games. How would you rate your windows sonic accuracy? Is it better than just getting the Logitech pro wireless headset?
Gaming needs 3 things... Imaging , big soundstage , and openes airyness . And u don't get any of these on that kind of headphones. Try HD800s , Sundara, 660s ,1990 or 712 pro and u will understand.
@@freedomgamer99 I play mostly on pc and sometimes xbox. But also I sometimes use it to play music and watch movies. I guess there’s no such thing as a universal wireless headset out there that performs top notch? If so could these be the ones and if not what ones are? And goes for a good price.
1mm planar magnetic driver (Audeze penrose, mobius) != 1mm dynamic driver. Completely different driver technologies. Just because these have 100mm drivers, does not mean that they’re necessarily better than a 50mm dynamic driver. Actually 100mm planar drivers are on par with 50mm dynamic drivers, in a simplified summary.
@@devinmatteson audeze headsets are awesome, way better then most of the wireless headsets I've tried in the past. My only dislike is the clamping a little tight but it is still comfortable
For the Mobius, it's best played on the PC via USB. 3.5MM to the xbox controller or PS does not do it justice. Penrose X is easily the best wireless headset sound wise and it connects to PS4/5 and PC as well.
lots of positive energy that we dont even see in other young youtubers. You're definitely the most energetic young youtuber. It's not that easy to make these reviews and keep on moving
He is definitely one of the best you tubers I watch, the enthusiasm and quality of his reviews are brill, I am sure he must be related to Jgod the Modern Warfare you tuber as they look alike and even some of their language and mannerisms are the same... Keep up the good with Techne...
I actually preordered this headset to go with my Xbox Series X before it launched. I own the Astro A50 gen4, Soundblaster SXFI, Arctis Pro wireless. The Audeze Penrose for the Xbox (which also works on PC) is BY FAR the BEST headset I have ever owned. The Arctis Pro comes close but the sound from the Audeze Penrose is on a whole other level. Your review is right on point, great work!
I've used the LCD-GX, you might not find them as comfortable because of the added weight. They also have a tendency to fall off your head if you look down at the ground. You will also need a decent amp and dac to run them well. The mobius/penrose have a fantastic amp/dac built in, so I think that should be a point of discussion for people who have not bought audiophile grade gear and are looking for a complete package vs those who already have one and want an upgrade of sorts. Hope that helps!
@@TheTechne I'd consider the options. For headphones only, maybe a $200 headphone the likes of the HD58x, HD560s, and $100 each for an amp and dac puts you right at $400 - and no extra features. But you do get the flexibility of swapping headphones. So it would be up to you to see if you'd rather spend the $400 on an entry level audiophile setup that slaps for fps gaming and music, or just grab the audeze offerings and be able to benefit from going mobile and having a simple setup that is just as good as the audiophile setup imo. I have all the aforementioned setups and each has their benefit. The mobius is great for 7.1 supported movies and is relatively portable. Also a great work from home setup!
@@TheTechne I just realized you were asking only about the LCD-GX.....They're worth it for me as long as you don't do what I do and spend money on every tier of headphone on the way up to that price tag. You really do need a decent amp/dac to make them sing tho.
Awesome review! Hyperx partnered with audeze for one of their headsets, the cloud orbit s. They are going for $230, which is $100 off from their regular price, and have the same look as the audeze mobious and penrose. Might be worth looking into them!
I bought them a year ago. The frame and height adjustment broke right out of warranty… good sounding headset but would recommend getting an extended warranty
Hey Techne, the HyperX Cloud Orbit S 3d is on sale for less than 200$, do you think the premium of like 100$+ is worth it to upgrade to Audeze instead? I know the Audeze is better, but I'm wondering if it's 100$ more better?
Hi love your videos looking at purchasing the Audeze Penrose X looking at other reviews people are saying they have interference issues and white noise can you tell me did you suffer much from this when you use them on the Xbox X if possible
If you own a PS5, Penrose is the best wireless headset on the market. I'm not even kidding, the distant second would be Arctis Pro but Penrose sound like coming from another dimension (to my ears atleast). Mobius is also a good option but works only in wired mode with PS5/Series X. Edit: You can also wirelessly use discord by simultaneously connecting it to a phone using Bluetooth so that you can play with PC buddies in crossplay.
Hey there Techne first of all I want to say that I love your videos' and your channel. Always have quality videos with a great personality. I'm currently in the search for my next gaming headset as I currently own the arctis 7 and I want a better sound stage and a better mic while staying wireless. I can't decide which headset to pick next, I'm in-between either the Penrose or ATH-G1WL. I wanted to get your opinion on which you think is the better buy for the money.
Are the settings from PC transferable or saved in the dongle? Most usb wireless have settings applicable only in PC and when used on console settings are not carried over… how loud is it on console? I have a logitech g x pro wireless and even maxed out volume, it still sound low? I appreciate your opinion…
Just got these in today since I needed to replace my turtle beach 800x that crapped out after many years. And yes out the box these Penrose we're awesome. Can't wait to get home and get my game on and tinker with these some.
I tried to XT's and went to Penrose, I am really enjoying the Penrose. they are immersive and sound is amazing out of the box. took a couple days to break in as they were slightly snug on my head.
@@TheParad0cks so I was running a few sessions of COD yesterday and they sound great. I can still get the clarity and direction of footsteps nothing seems to sound muffled or distorted with all the action going around. I was using my Hyper x cloud alpha and have also tried the astro A50 current gen which sound quality is good from both but I feel like the Penrose is on a different level and that is out of the box with no EQ adjustments. it just took a few days to get used to the headset being a little tight. these will be my new go to headsets.
The Techne, am I missing something here? I originally got the Arctis Pro Wireless for my PS5 and love them. Then I was looking for a headset for my XSX and I noticed the Penrose X can also be used on the PS5 as well so I ordered them based off all the positive reviews. I got these today and used them on my PS5 and though I did hear sounds I wouldn't hear on my SteelSeries, these do not get nearly as loud as the Arctis Pro's. I've checked settings and everything to make sure there wasn't anything that needed to be changed with no luck. Have you tried the Penrose X on your PS5? I'm not saying they're at like a whisper level or anything, but just not "loud". You are very knowledgeable with headsets so I was hoping you could give me your feedback. I know sound or loudness is subjective and you've used both headsets so do you notice a louder sound on the SteelSeries?
I have a Mobius headset all the way back from the Indiegogo campaign. Served me incredibly well all they way up till this spring when I finally felt like I had to go wireless. Currently making due with the big, bulky GSP670s. Now I'm just waiting for EPOS to take their new H3 headset and give it the wireless treatment :)
I bought these a couple months ago and these are audiophile level headset. The sound is unreal. Once you have these there's no going back to any other headset.
Ok so would you grab the penrose or the arctis 9x I was about to order the arctis the I watched this I’m back at square one. All I play is warzone lol footstep location is my main focus
Difference only being the wireless and the mic , I tried the orbits just wasn't for me for the same price. Wireless was definitely the way to go with Penrose especially with better overall mic
Alright, please answer this question sensei, between audeze lcd2 with creative g7 amp/dac and audeze mobius which one should i get? I dont care about the mic cuz i have a separate microphone. Thanks techne
i just have a question i have a nice system but ever since the new windows install all my headsets crackle in windows weird tried everything even my dacks i have to reboot and play game not going to you tube or anything first and its ok sometimes... kinda narrowed it down to virtual sound mabie
Using the 3.5mm jack, do these have any sound quality difference or other quirks? Your comparison of these headphones have convinced me to get one. Which one I get depends on if there's a quality difference using the 3.5mm jack. Thank you for your review!
Which would you recommend. Audeze Penrose(has EQ) or the Audio Technica ATH-G1 WL(No EQ). Been lookin to buy a more "premium headset", but the HyperX Cloud Flight has destroyed me so that I never can go back to wired headsets. So which should I pick... Penrose or Audio Technica.
Question sir, between astro a50 a40 and the audeze Penrose or mobious for foot steps on c.o.d which ones you buying? Or what would you recommend? I have a50's now im using have a40's brand new in box. But I'm looking for better.
So i bought the Razer Kaira Pro set which i love. Ive been looking for an upgrade in sound and have came to these, but is the sound really all that different? Any of you guys own a Kaira pro and these and would say the penrose would be a good step up?
I love my new penrose so much man. It’s absolutely the best quality headphone in gaming I’ve ever experienced yall did a absolutely incredible job on the drivers. The frameeeee wellll. You can tell it’s out sourced over seas but it’s not bad by any means just feels like I’m wearing two different brands but hey what ever you gotta do to give me that perfect sound quality for a affordable price. I’ll take it all day.
So, can the Penrose be used with both PlayStation and Xbox, or no? Seems they didn’t just make one headset that works with both? Some people have both consoles. Not I, but some do.
Just orderd the penroze, coming from the sony wireless 2.0! Now I have the PS5, but which games do you recommend best to test this beast of a headset!? Love you're vidz and in particular you're enthousiasm! -)
Thanks for the review. I own the Penrose X and strictly PC game (Warzone mostly). I've been on the fence about buying the Audeze Mobius. Am I missing out on anything when it comes to using Mobius and playing Warzone or is the sound the exact same in this scenario?
The Penrose does have a better sound but their wireless range is absolutely terrible - they lose connectivity at about 3 meters/10 feet distance between the receiver and the headphones.
So glad you reviewed these! I've had the: Mobius Arctis pro Bose quiet comfort I loved the sound of the Mobius. Agree completely with your review. However I returned them because I didn't feel like I could determine the direction of footsteps as precisely as I could with the arctis pros. Ultimately I have settled with Bose quiet comfort. For me I think they offer the best mix of everything. The Mobius sound detail and quality is second to none. Excited to watch some comparison reviews that you hopefully make!
hey techne, other than being wired vs wireless, is there a difference in these headsets performance wise? I prefer wired headsets personally so I'm considering the mobius but I want the highest quality so if penrose sounds better I wanna get that
Can you do a video on settings for these on games like warzone? I’m wondering if the audeze software 7.1 is better than running dts x or atmos on pc and leaving the headset in stereo. .
I play a lot of Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone and with this headset I’ve left it in the default for EQ and I can barely hear any footsteps in those game. In Vanguard especially since it’s supported by PlayStation 3d audio and I can’t hear anything if someone is coming behind me or above me nothing. In some instances the map would be quiet and the guy would be running full sprint behind and I couldn’t hear anything. Same goes for Warzone I’ve tried it with 3d audio on and off since it’s a ps4 game and doesn’t support 3d audio yet but I can’t tell much I of a difference I can hear people but only when they are really close and not through all the explosions or gunfire going around. Anyone else experiencing this?
I heard they even beat the Astro A50. I’ve been looking for a high end wireless headset for my Xbox series x. I’m a huge fan of yours and you haven’t steered my wrong yet. I own a number of headsets that you’ve recommended and I love them all. Oh and the aftermarket ear pads you recommended rock! Love your channel!
Hi techne. I don't know if the are on your agenda, but It would be 'stinking cool if you could do a video or review with your thoughts on the hyper x cloud orbit S ? They are supposed to be a copy of the mobius but at a 100 less price. I'm looking for a wired headset preferably for ps5 and I need to know how they compare before I make a purchase. Very entertaining videos techne. Superb job 👏
Hey man ! I bought a Corsair Virtuoso XT because I loved your review but I play on Xbox Series X and my friend have a terrible echo, plus I can't use the bluetooth so that sucks.. But I love the headset so much, that's frustrating. Compared to the Audeze Penrose X, what do you think..? Would you recomend me the Audeze or to keep the Corsair?
you are using the XT 3.5 on the xbox? I enjoy the XT on xbox but as a secondary option. As a main xbox headset heck yes these are amazing! I actually have been mining these on pc as well. PS: this is not saying I don't like, or the XT's are trash, they are still very very good.
@@TheTechne Aha yeah don't worry I got you ;) Yes, I am using XT 3.5 but the mic.. Yepp, i agree! These are actually worth the money. Sound is very close to being perfect without spending silly money. Bargain vs the Bang portals at £500
So would you recommend these over the Corsair virtuoso? And also I play on ps4 and I want a wireless headset with good sound so if the penroze are the way to go are they better than the mobious.
@@iiahahybilaash9434 way better than the corsair. Wired is always better than wireless so the mobius will sound better I guess. But if you're looking for wireless the Penrose is the way to go for consoles.

@@iiahahybilaash9434 the wireless technology makes them more expensive. Wired will always be better because it's a physical connection. But don't worry, for non audiophiles you will probably never notice 😁
Would you be willing to do a comparison video of the top wireless gaming headsets? (Steelseries, A50, Virtuoso XT, Penrose, etc) So tough to choose a wireless set when they each have their own strengths and weaknesses
I was one of those who asked about these. Probably one of the first. Really glad you liked it. It's pronounced like Odyssey but with z's. I have a planar hifiman sundara which is the same driver type and it's amazing, it's not a headset though. Love planar.
I like some of the features on the Mobius, such as surround sound. Plus the fact that they the microphone is clearer from the videos I've watched. However I have heard that some of them don't work when plugging the headphones into a ps4 controller via the 3.5mm jack. Can anyone confirm this? Am i better off to go with the Penrose ones for console gaming?
So I have the Audeze LCD-X and I bought the microphone cable for the GX that works perfect with it. They sound awesome! I think the tuning of the Penrose is a little more towards gaming but LCD-X is more of an overall headphone I think. Both are great though
@@TheTechne I would say yes. I think having an amazing set of headphones really enhances what your listening to. Sometime in the future plan to get the closed back LCD-X as well. Might get the GX before that though. Also the Penrose mic is co made with Shure. Audeze makes incredible products to me. I have 5 different headphones from them. Keep up the good work!
Does Penrose really work with the 360 degrees functionality? Are there any differences compared to other gaming headsets that got 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound? It says on their website "Penrose is primarily a wireless two-channel (stereo) headset that uses a USB 2.4GHz transmitter, while Mobius is primarily an eight-channel (surround) headset with built-in 3D and head-tracking that uses a wired USB connection. "
Penrose is a stereo 2 channel headset. Utilizes 3D audio from consoles. I have this headset and it’s the best I’ve ever owned. Games sound amazing! Honestly, if you’re console gaming get the penrose x. If mostly pc go mobius
@@TheTechne Any ETA on that video? I'm currently trying both the Penrose and Arctis Pro Wireless and having trouble picking a winner. I'd love to hear your thoughts before a make a decision in the next couple of days lol
These peaked my interest since I already owned a pair of Audeze isine 20's which are now discontinued. I also have the Sennheiser PC38X and I can only wear them for a short period of time before they become annoying. I also get cable noise whenever the cable rubs against me. I'd like to try them out with a Switch Lite or my Aya Neo 2021.
So I can say as a audiophile and a couch gamer the penrose x is on a whole nother level than any other headset I’ve used and haven’t even played with the eq. These will not work with ps4 not sure about ps5 but even with 3.5mm on the DualShock it did nothing however the system does pickup it up under devices which is strange. Also Techne done a suggested modification with these and I will double down on what he said and I used the same gel wicked cushions he used and the cooling effect is a nice bonus. I have had turtle beaches 700 elite, steelseries pro, Astro a50, epos h6 pro, and even the bang and olufson beoplay portal(wow what a waste of $500) and can honestly say these blow the pure natural crisp and clear sound out of the water and even nice bass without becoming muddy like turtle beaches and astros. If you want an amazing clean and crisp sound and hear stuff you never heard before in games you have played before look no further. The pinpoint accuracy of footsteps and sounds going on around me without drowning out other stuff was phenomenal. Just my 2 cents!
Can you compare the Penrose with the Cloud Orbit S? The latter is supposedly just a rebranded Mobius without the Bluetooth functionality and is currently going for $230 on the hyperx website. For me, I was blown away by the Penrose audio quality but ultimately returned it because I didn't like having to charge every 2 or 3 days for my use. The price was also steep and mic quality was pretty disappointing especially compared to the competition in this price range. While I didn't notice any delay, the Penrose technically has at least 16ms of latency according to hyperx so I figured going wired with the Orbit S would put my OCD somewhat at ease. Maybe it's just me or I don't have correct settings applied (2.1 stereo without hi-res?) but the Orbit S audio sadly didn't have the same wow factor as the Penrose (though they still sound good). Maybe it's because the Penrose dongle also functions as a DAC making them sound considerably louder?
They both use the same 100mm driver. If you're fine with going wired, just get yourself a decent DAC, (Creative Soundblaster x7; easy setup on PC and works with Consoles). Then you can fine tune whatever sound profile you want.
You are a terrific salesman. My setup is basically a who's who of Techne reviewed stuff. :D I don't suppose you tried swapping the mics? I'm ready to buy that Penrose but the mic sounds a bit poo. Also, how was the USB wireless connection on the Penrose? And any noticeable delay or connection drops?

@@maxshaw6161 my guy they are freaking incredible! Did you get them?? I’ve got pretty dam decent eq settting I made lol.
@@djm24able any updates on eq settings? Are you still backing this headset? Just pulled the trigger on a pair of penrose

@@djm24able that is so great to hear, took a screen shot and you got a sub 👍 thanks for replying mate. Can’t wait for these to arrive 😊
I love my Mobius, the 3D surround is amazing and is almost like cheating when gaming but the planar magnetics are the star of the show here
Do you need that 3D surround to pin point the enemy? Or can pen rose do this??
@@freedomgamer99 so I need to buy Dolby app in order to make these headsets the perfect head set??
These should be in a class of their own. Jumping from 50mm drivers (which a lot of headsets use) to 100mm should provide a Big difference in sound.
Penrose X is easily the best wireless headset sound wise and it connects to PS4/5 and PC as well.
for mobius u can plug usb into ps and it stills sounds pretty good.
@@yuhin Its okay, but it really shines on PC. Best implementation of 7.1 I have ever heard. I would just go with the Penrose on consoles.

Any bugs or connection issues with Series X wireless? Im about to buy but worried
@@ZxRiGxZ did you buy them if so are they worth it? No problems? Looking to buy some for my series x
Hope that helps!
are they worth the price tag?
Dolby Atmos on the Penrose sounds amazing, try it!
Thanks for listening to the requests!
Awesome review! Hyperx partnered with audeze for one of their headsets, the cloud orbit s. They are going for $230, which is $100 off from their regular price, and have the same look as the audeze mobious and penrose. Might be worth looking into them!
Where is it on sale?
@@Lmmpeprstepr it’s on the hyperx website.
I bought them a year ago. The frame and height adjustment broke right out of warranty… good sounding headset but would recommend getting an extended warranty
That's a wired headset though. Probably most of us here are shopping for wireless.
Have had them for awhile. The Adeuze Penrose is an elite headset.
I already have them but I have some doubts if you could make a video for the best EQ and I have a problem with static
There great man,i went from 1080p to 4k soundwise! Nice review
good analogy.
Hey Techne, the HyperX Cloud Orbit S 3d is on sale for less than 200$, do you think the premium of like 100$+ is worth it to upgrade to Audeze instead? I know the Audeze is better, but I'm wondering if it's 100$ more better?
never used them, but will be testing them soon. I hear they don't have bluetooth
Hi love your videos looking at purchasing the Audeze Penrose X looking at other reviews people are saying they have interference issues and white noise can you tell me did you suffer much from this when you use them on the Xbox X if possible
Returned the arctis pro gamedac and getting the Audeze penrose instead. Hope it will be an upgrade sound quality wise.
Boa noite! O som dele no ps5 é acima da média mesmo? Ainda estão funcionando perfeitamente?
Hey there Techne first of all I want to say that I love your videos' and your channel. Always have quality videos with a great personality. I'm currently in the search for my next gaming headset as I currently own the arctis 7 and I want a better sound stage and a better mic while staying wireless. I can't decide which headset to pick next, I'm in-between either the Penrose or ATH-G1WL. I wanted to get your opinion on which you think is the better buy for the money.
The mobius sold me with how the mic quality sounded because I always hear ppl complaining when ur own mic quality sounds not so good
Are the settings from PC transferable or saved in the dongle? Most usb wireless have settings applicable only in PC and when used on console settings are not carried over… how loud is it on console? I have a logitech g x pro wireless and even maxed out volume, it still sound low? I appreciate your opinion…
Just got these in today since I needed to replace my turtle beach 800x that crapped out after many years.
And yes out the box these Penrose we're awesome. Can't wait to get home and get my game on and tinker with these some.
I feel lead astray I just got the corsair virtuoso XT's and this is the head huncho now?
lol, always testing new products. But I will have a video covering this topic for ya ;)
I tried to XT's and went to Penrose, I am really enjoying the Penrose. they are immersive and sound is amazing out of the box. took a couple days to break in as they were slightly snug on my head.
@@MorbidJ0ker you think the sound quality is better for FPS?
@@TheParad0cks so I was running a few sessions of COD yesterday and they sound great. I can still get the clarity and direction of footsteps nothing seems to sound muffled or distorted with all the action going around. I was using my Hyper x cloud alpha and have also tried the astro A50 current gen which sound quality is good from both but I feel like the Penrose is on a different level and that is out of the box with no EQ adjustments. it just took a few days to get used to the headset being a little tight. these will be my new go to headsets.
@@MorbidJ0ker Thanks I ordered them :)

There's no going back, but there's definite a way up lol. It may be a "Gateway" for some 😂

Using the 3.5mm jack, do these have any sound quality difference or other quirks? Your comparison of these headphones have convinced me to get one. Which one I get depends on if there's a quality difference using the 3.5mm jack. Thank you for your review!
Can you review the LS50X from lucidsound I heard they are good.

Thanks for the review. I own the Penrose X and strictly PC game (Warzone mostly). I've been on the fence about buying the Audeze Mobius. Am I missing out on anything when it comes to using Mobius and playing Warzone or is the sound the exact same in this scenario?
no your not missing much if anything at all. It's minor and I mean very minor. Stick with your penrose, I also did :)
I knew u would love these. The wireless Penrose for PC are the ONLY wireless audiophile gaming headphones available right now.
Oh man, so the real competition will be these verse your new mains, the Corsair Virtuoso RGB XT!
The Penrose does have a better sound but their wireless range is absolutely terrible - they lose connectivity at about 3 meters/10 feet distance between the receiver and the headphones.
So glad you reviewed these!
I've had the:
Mobius
Arctis pro
Bose quiet comfort
I loved the sound of the Mobius.
So, the audeze are not that good for pro gaming? Are the artics pro better for that? I am looking for one to step up my gaming
hey techne, other than being wired vs wireless, is there a difference in these headsets performance wise? I prefer wired headsets personally so I'm considering the mobius but I want the highest quality so if penrose sounds better I wanna get that
mobius is the better headset if you don't care for wireless. (mobius still does BT though)
The ASTRO A50s sound like garbage. Even headphones that cost 1/3rd the price sound significantly better.
Hi techne. I don't know if the are on your agenda, but It would be 'stinking cool if you could do a video or review with your thoughts on the hyper x cloud orbit S ?
@@spamuraisensei322 Interesting. Wouldn't you have to use 3.5mm instead of USB then, disabling some of the built-in modes?
If I use Dolby Atmos with the Penrose, will I get the 7.1 surround like mobius has?
I was really waiting for your review..thx bro, now I'll wait a comparative of the Penrose X with the arctis 9X
I'm pretty sure the VR headset would do the tracking already so if the headset do it too it would mess it up rather than make it work.
Pls do review on SPC gear Viro headset!!
You are a terrific salesman. My setup is basically a who's who of Techne reviewed stuff. :D
I don't suppose you tried swapping the mics? I'm ready to buy that Penrose but the mic sounds a bit poo.
