Hey Rob! You officially have approval from my teenage son now! Believe me when I tell you he's picky and has great taste! He's usually putting music into the not heavy enough category!! He has a healthy diet of Death Metal, Pantera and Thrash!!! Keeping it alive brother!!!🤘🤘👊
Very cool to see the progression. I like the see through finish for something different… sets it apart. I’m on board for ESP doing another run of your signature model, I’d be picking one up on day one!
Rob you are awesome man. To comment back on all of our comments is just so humble and really stands as a testament to how us metalheads really are. I sonetimes imagine what life would have been like as someone famous, or who made killer money. I am an awesome artist and might actually could have with my art. But I suffer with anxiety so bad dude its kept me locked in my house for too many years now. I only come out to go to work. Its been so hard sometimes that I've had to push through on whether ending all of it myself or pushing on. Thanks to the adoring love and compassion from a couple of people and family who are the only friends I have and thats fine and all I will ever need and metal I've continued to go on. As I've gotten older I've become terrified to even post anything i draw online anymore. The last time I uploaded one was years ago. Through the darkest times especially at night when I've struggled to keep my vision clear through agonizing floods of tears a friend will remind me that I have the most beautiful heart in the world and would give my last to anyone that needed it. What this disease has done is make me love humanity to the point of exhaustion. When I hear of someone that was hurt by another on the too many true crime channels it makes my heart and soul break a little bit more than the last one did. I remember getting beat up as a kid really bad when I took a magnifying glass away from some kids that were burning ants and stomped on it breaking the glass. Of these many agonizing days my dream would be to wake up and be able to just walk outside and breath the fresh air and to see this beautiful world our universe has created for us and feel perfectly fine. To not have to curl into a ball and shiver from terror. I dont know dude I'm sorry if I've wasted your time. I just wanted to tell you how awesome I trully believe you are and that calling you an inspiration to my own guitar playing would be an understatement. If we happened to have gone to the same high school together I know for a fact we would have been friends, lol. Keep amazing the world with your playing dude. Because you trully keep the flame (as small as the one inside me is) alive.🤘🏻
Aye bro... that's bittersweet! I'm honored to hear I've been an inspiration for you, but it's tough to hear about all your struggles. Keep your head up! I know you'll find your way! Bring your art back into the world, and see what happens! You never know how it may turn things around for you in a positive way. And if you don't, you'll not only never know, but you'll have to live with the fact that you'll never know. Is there somewhere we can see your art? (only if you're willing to share of course) Cheers bro and best of luck with everything! 🤘🎸👊
I actually like the yellow pick guard. Goes well with the gray wood grain. It has to be a great feeling to have your own signature guitar and have a catalog with your image next to it. Great accomplishment.
As I just said to another dude, Never did I think I'd be pictured in the same anything with Kirk and James! It's an unbelievable honor! ua-cam.com/video/WU0MWPyqs1M/v-deo.html
That's history right there, and a gorgeous one at that. I love how production model turned up. It ticks all the right boxes for me. I'm still hopeful for a reissue. Reissue or not RA-600 is still the dream for me. It will be mine, oh yes it will be mine 🙂
I appreciate your videos Rob. It’s so cool to be able to interact with someone I’ve looked up to for so long and then to find out he’s such an awesome and humble dude! So sick! lol
I had an RA-600 for a little over a year, and I loved it, but I ended up selling it to get the Page Hamilton aluminum finish signature and I ended up doing the same to it later to get an Alexi Laiho signature. I still have the Alexi Laiho Alexi-600 to this day because CoB is still one of my favorite bands. But i've always missed that RA-600. Plan to grab another one some day soon.

Unfortunately my signature series isn't "back", but one can be hopeful! And no, no news on Big Boy. (the one who's missing). But again, I remain hopeful!
Just my opinion, so grain of salt and all, but I totally think you should leave the yellowing pick guard on. I think it looks so cool. I wish I had had the wherewithal to pick one of these up when they were in production. Everyone needs to start spamming ESP to get these back in production.
hey man, the production model is all I want from a metal strat, single pickup, pickguard, binding, etc. since we dont have this guitar anymore, what is the CLOSEST model you would recommend? thank you
That’s a pretty sweet 1 pickup guitar. I noticed most of your guitars have Floyd Rose , I didn’t realize it was so popular for metal, those bridges are intimidating to me idk
Just curious as to what "RA" stands for in the "RA-600" Esp prototype guitar. Reverse Angle Headstock? Real Ash body? Reclusive Anger? Red Arbor? Rosebud Atrium?
yes it was similar had black pickgaurd production model. nothing was original but the woods and pickgaurd… listed on ebay almost 3g and was beat to sh.
Has anyone ever mentioned the irony of you having a signiture super strat, a type of guitar very often linked with the 25.5" scale, with a 24.75" one, and Matt having a signiture Viper, which is ESPs version of another famous brand's shape that are both quite commonly linked with having a 24.75" scale, with a 25.5" one? lmao.
Are those really LTDs , or is that a Custom Shop that just says ltd? Let me know if you ever want to get rid of that pick guard, I dig the aged look lol.
That's an interesting question! I suppose it depends on how you look at it. But this LTD, like all the RA-600's, was made in Korea. And as far as I know, ESP custom shop guitars come out of Japan. (And maybe their new USA facility now too).
@@RobArnoldWorld I see. Myself and a buddy always kinda thought the prototypes and even the actual artist’s guitars were a Japanese custom shop and it just said LTD to promote the line. Lol.
@@RobArnoldWorld Do you a fretboard radius gauge? Are the production models different compared to your custom models? I know most modern signature LTD’s use a standardized 350mm radius compared to the mainline ESP signatures.
No words - such a sexy babe! I like that this guitar has a pickguard, but no binding, unlike your RA-3 custom - I like it when it's either a pickguard or a binding. But, I still feel uncomfortable seeing the neck, knowing that this guitar has a Gibson scale of 24.7 - I am a Fender-style guy down to the core, scale of 25.5 is my everything! P.S. And about changing a pickguard on this guitar: YES! DO IT! I Love the combination of dark painted body and black pickguard with a white binding! It's absolutely beautiful!
@@RobArnoldWorld About a scale - I just remembred one guitar I played with 24.7, that was pretty comfortable for me - it was a Carvin DC-200 of late 80-s - absolutely amazing guitar! It looked like a hybrid between a SuperStrat and Double Cut Les Paul with a pointy inline headstock! Do you like old Carvins, Rob?
@@RobArnoldWorld They are great! Besides this one, I tried two - DC-400 with a scale of 25 (Like PRS's), and DC-727 - a 7-string with 25.5 - all three with a Floyd Rose tremolo. All three are absolutely gorgeous guitars! About your sig - I don't know, maybe it would be comfortable for me too, I never played one. There is a problem is that I made a vow to myself about three things, and one of them was not to touch ESP guitars. So I wouldn't try it.

Lol.
If ESP were to bring them back, would you keep the specs as they were, or would you update anything?
I think the specs are pretty solid as is, but I'd definitely like a couple new color schemes. I've got some stuff in mind!
@@RobArnoldWorld Do you a fretboard radius gauge? Are the production models different compared to your custom models? I know most modern signature LTD’s use a standardized 350mm radius compared to the mainline ESP signatures.
Honestly man, I don't know the first thing about that topic. Sorry!@@BradleyWilloughby
@@RobArnoldWorld All good, sir!
Do an anodized black pick guard
Sounds intriguing! I'd love to see an example!
Maybe a stupid question, Rob, but were the prototypes made by ESP in Japan even though they were to be made as LTD models?
Not a stupid question at all! They were made in Korea.
Do you like or have tried the emg 81x
Yes! I had an 81X in my RA-3 for a couple years. I thought it was cool, and didn't notice any real difference between it and the 81.
It’s so hard to find these
The hunt is ON!
🙌
I bought the M-1001 deluxe. Just cussing you pretty much showed it off Rob...
Awesome man! I hope you dig it! 🎸
Why did i have to see that shes gorgeous. Do they come in left handed?
No lefty's unfortunately.
Shes still a sweet ride @@RobArnoldWorld

Love the see through finish on your guitar. It´s a pity that the production modell is just boring black. 😥
👍👍👍
No words - such a sexy babe! I like that this guitar has a pickguard, but no binding, unlike your RA-3 custom - I like it when it's either a pickguard or a binding. But, I still feel uncomfortable seeing the neck, knowing that this guitar has a Gibson scale of 24.7 - I am a Fender-style guy down to the core, scale of 25.5 is my everything!
P.S. And about changing a pickguard on this guitar: YES! DO IT! I Love the combination of dark painted body and black pickguard with a white binding! It's absolutely beautiful!
We'll see! 🎸
Never played one! But, I always used to get the catalogs as a kid, and I remember them well! @@dexxpredwarior9033
Brutal!@@dexxpredwarior9033
Shame on you for spraying on the tuner!
😂
Hahaha... he'll live.
