Fun topic! I have a TAG Heuer that was bought by my late father and picked out by me since I was looking for a stainless steel watch that I could wear when swimming. Obviously it has sentimental value and I still cherish it. It's my favorite.
Correction on the Monaco calibre 11. The original calibre 11 was used in the Monaco/Autavia/Carrera, and they all had the crown on the left as a marketing gimmick to break people's habit of winding watches as this was the 1st automatic chronograph movement available worldwide. Steve McQueen chose to wear the watch in the Le Mans movie because a) he wanted to emulate Joe Siffert who was a racing driver and training Steve for the movie, b) Steve wore Joe's race suit which was adorned with Hueur sponsorship, c) although Joe wore Autavia, the prop designer needed multiple versions of the watch for close-ups/wide shots/marketing and replacements and Heuer couldn't get multiple versions of either the Autavia or Carrera (because they were a sales success), but had plenty of Monaco's (because it was a sales flop), d) Steve thought the watch look cool and unusual. By the time the movie came out, Heuer had moved onto the calibre 12 which saw the crown back on the right hand side. The Monaco ceased production in 1975, only to resurrected in 1998 by TAG Heuer who had bought the image rights of Steve wearing the watch, which built up a cult following.
I’m sure you won’t see this, but I’d be extremely interested in seeing a video where you cover watches to round out a wardrobe. I know one watch can’t match everything, and I’d like to build enough of a collection where I have a watch option for every occasion. One formal, one casual, maybe one that can do casual and formal, one sport, etc etc. I’m here looking at watches and don’t really know what would cover the most uses, rather than doubling up on watches similar to ones I own. I’m very ignorant with style and rely heavily on your channel and similar channels
I picked up the timex a year ago because of your video on it. It is my everyday wear in uniform and get so many compliments on it. 3 people have already picked it up after I showed them it
Tudor BB58 and the Rolex Explorer. Having both basically covers *every* eventuality, and each are pure class (indeed, that's the only Rolex I would even consider owning). Great video!
Yes, having both, I appreciate the BB over the Sub as well..both are great watches but the BB has more sentimental value for me.. the perfect one watch collection is the Glashütte Original SeaQ, great diver, unique and perfect with a suit if you don’t want to wear a dress watch.. a smartwatch on the wrist only for sports, I wear my iWatch on the upper arm with a special strap for medical stuff…
am i crazy for thinking its ridiculous to worry so much about water resistance? i have literally never swam or showered with a watch on... i always take them off
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the MaMacoo's watches are the most intriguing.
Going to one would be tough choice. I have the Monta Triumph in black with their great bracelet. I really like it and a cashier at a fast casual restaurant complimented me on the watch just yesterday. If you would like the bronze bracelet on that Yema and also love the Black Bay 58, the Black Bay 58 bronze on that bracelet with the T-fit quick adjust clasp would be perfect.
In that collection, I probably would do the same. I really want to get the new BB58 GMT when it comes out for that little addition to the perfect size.
Been wearing my SS Datejust since I got it in 1983. Rolex makes tool watches, and this is the primary example of the breed. It goes anywhere, anytime, any place. There was a period several years ago when I don't think I took it off my wrist for about 18 months. Looking forward to participating in your new group, especially since I took up watchmaking as a hobby a few years ago.
I recently picked up my new Omega Speedmaster Sapphire. I have wanted one for 8 years and to me I think it could be my only watch I would ever own if I had to pick one. Yeah it’s not a dive watch so it’s not probably the best going in the water but I don’t really like to take my watches swimming with me anyways and I feel like the Speedmaster goes with everything. It looks understated and classy with also having a great story with a ton of history.
I’ve purchased the black bay 58 as my first luxury watch. It was honestly the most I’ve ever spent on anything other than a car. But recently I’ve found myself asking the question should i upgrade to a sub or get an omega seamaster? Don’t get me wrong I still love the watch but I thought the Tudor was gonna be my one and done, yet now I own a jlc reverso a Rolex explorer a Cartier santos
I own seven watches of various makes. When I am in semi or formal attire, it has to be my Rolex two tone date just. I have had several women ask me, "Is that a Rolex?" They never ask about other brands. My bang around watch is a Casio. It has day, date, 100M water resistance and if it breaks... so what? I have had that watch for 20 years!
Nice watches, if i had them i would keep the Timex and sell the others and pay off a part of the mortgage on my home. I like watches, i own a Timex Weekender, an Timex Expedition Scout. A Pagani Design Sub homage, a Tactical Frog Captain Willard homage, an Octopus Kraken Q010 Titanium Pelagos homage. One orginsl sguare G-Shock my GADA watch for msny years. and a G-Shock Mudman(a present from my wife) a Breitling Titan Gold inheritence from my father and a non working Rolex Datejust also from my father he bought it in 1974 for 4000 swedish kronas. Plus some more watches. If i could keep only one it would be the Octopus Kraken Q010 Titanium.
Since discovering RMRS, I have got rid of many clothes: too old, bad fit, don't work with anything or do not look good on me but get rid of a watch - that is a step too far!!
All great choices , the Grand Seiko is only 30 meters becuase it’s basically a dress watch and the Monaco’s are a cool way to determine lap times for sure if your a car guy . Funny thing is the Omega Speedmaster is known as the Moonwatch but it was originally designed to time laps for vehicles .
I was introduced to this watch brand by a friend who takes watch collection seriously. An independant watch company, Jack Mason, Texas born. High Quality watches at reasonable prices. I am thouroughly impressed with my purchase, less than $500.00!
It may be a cliché but an OP or DJ is the only one you really need. Well in my opinion a 556 Sinn. You bought the wrong DJ, IMHO. Change the bezel to smooth and put the Oyster on it and it's a sport and dress watch. Fifty metres is plenty good enough for swimming in a pool
My BB58 is my go to 5 out of 7 days. I rarely wear my Norqain Neverest GMT (chunky at 15mm) or my Tag Carrera Dual Time (wish it was 39mm and had a screw down crown). The Tudor is a great pick.
It’s a tough choice. I also have a BB58 and an Explorer (124270) and they’re both terrific everyday pieces that can get knocked around and still keep good time. The obvious answer would be to keep the Rolex for value retention purposes. But the Tudor is just as wearable, just as legible, and nearly as accurate as the Rolex. Anecdotally, my Tudor runs +2/ day and my Explorer is about -2/day.
Newbie here Antonio. I am confused on the water resistance. If a watch states 50 meters, is it good for 50 meters? I mean, how deep is your pool and far down do you dive? Not trying to be a wise acre.
Yeah it's annoying but basically 30 m means splash proof, 100 means swimming and 200-300 means you can dive. It's kinda a margin like it can get to 30 m like one or two times but not over and over again
Dan's comment has it right. The reason why it's confusing is that the water resistance rating refers to STATIC pressure, meaning that the watch can handle that much pressure in standardized test conditions where nothing is moving. As soon as you take the watch into the water and start moving around, you're creating more pressure than just the depth of the water, so just because a watch can handle 50 meters of static pressure, it can't handle diving 50 meters deep.
If I had enough, I would 100% buy a two tone Rolex DateJust (36mm). There are watches that are better for that value, like Grand Seiko, but it really works for my particular style which changes drastically. The stainless steel and gold with the fluted bezel really works for me. But in the meantime, I’ll just stay with a similar looking Seiko.
If i had to wear only one watch forever it would be the JLC Polaris Blue enamel dial on bracelet. Out of my own collection? Maybe my Longines Conquest VHP or G-Shock b400. Those two I always travel with because of the ease of time zone adjustment.
I am fond of automatic watch, but bro gave me a quartz. All my watches are analog type. Today, watches dont make sense due to smart phones. But definitely a keeper for men`s fashion.
If I kept the Rolex, I'd be paranoid about someone stealing it, damagining it, etc. I would like to get a Monta since I do live in St. Louis. For me, I am keeping my Citizen watch that my wife gave me for our wedding. You think I am getting rid of that? No *bleep*ing way.
I just got into watch collecting. I've loved watches since I was young but I never had anyone teach me or bring deeper into the world. MaMaCoo brought closer to a community and hobby I always wanted to get into more and that is incredibly meaningful to me !

That Shosho is gorgeous.
That Monta caught my eye from the beginning.
Same!

At 4.07, you say the Grand Seiko is a High Beat, but the image on the screen says Spring Drive.
I've been narrowing my watch collection as well. Decided that 3 is plenty. Keeping the Tudor, Omega, and a Hamilton.
am i crazy for thinking its ridiculous to worry so much about water resistance? i have literally never swam or showered with a watch on... i always take them off
I wear a Seiko Samurai Prospex with a blue dial pretty much every day and love it. $400.
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the MaMacoo's watches are the most intriguing.
Real Men Real Style, You're amazing! I hit the like button as soon as I saw it!

none of the above. Would be from the Longines Chronograph collection

The Tudor is the one I would have picked as well even though there is no date
The no date looks better I think. No date adds to the overall aesthetic of the dial being clean.
Just one watch, probably the Rolex Explorer. A true 1 watch collection and strap Munster
Explorer ofc
Retired and wear my Garmin Fenix 7 solar all the time! Still have the Tag.....😊
Since discovering RMRS, I have got rid of many clothes: too old, bad fit, don't work with anything or do not look good on me but get rid of a watch - that is a step too far!!
Thank you so much mamacoo for taking us shopping🛍…my wish list just got longer

Beautiful watches
My first thought was GS GMT but I could not get rid of the Monico honestly. I love that watch
Real Men Real Style, I really enjoyed this video, so I hit the like button!
Beautiful watches. I'm seriously considering investing in a signature watch. These are helping narrow it down!
I was introduced to this watch brand by a friend who takes watch collection seriously. An independant watch company, Jack Mason, Texas born. High Quality watches at reasonable prices. I am thouroughly impressed with my purchase, less than $500.00!
i love you so much! I recently just found your nkuwan and i’m in love!! Your videos are so fun and you energy is just MWAH! keep living your life
❤🤍💙 all your videos mate👍
For me, if it was only 1 watch it is the IWC The Portugieser Perpetual Calendar 44 in horizon blue.
Soooo beautiful.
When it comes to fine imitation watches, nkuwan delivers. I've bought from them several times, and I've never been let down.
The ultimate Jack of all trades is the Rolex explorer, except for flying under the radar. The also GADA, low profile Sinn 556 for that
I want that Timex watch with green strip m can you give it to me Antonio . I love that type of dials . that's my all time favourite one.
My BB58 is my go to 5 out of 7 days. I rarely wear my Norqain Neverest GMT (chunky at 15mm) or my Tag Carrera Dual Time (wish it was 39mm and had a screw down crown). The Tudor is a great pick.
I have an original Bulova Lunar Pilot, (Apollo 15 replica) I love it.
What’s the watch in the thumbnail?
with the watches in this video I would have to go with the Rolex explorer
How about MVMT or Vincero? 😅
Only 1 ? a watch I would not fear to get my left arm chopped for : a 37mm Grand Seiko SBGX261, black dial. 2 watches ? A Santos medium white.
Newbie here Antonio. I am confused on the water resistance. If a watch states 50 meters, is it good for 50 meters? I mean, how deep is your pool and far down do you dive? Not trying to be a wise acre.

If i had to wear only one watch forever it would be the JLC Polaris Blue enamel dial on bracelet. Out of my own collection? Maybe my Longines Conquest VHP or G-Shock b400. Those two I always travel with because of the ease of time zone adjustment.
all this watched over couple grands, and at the end $50 times, i fell of the chair xD
The Monta Triumph has tempted me many times but it has to be on bracelet I have spare leather straps.
I am fond of automatic watch, but bro gave me a quartz. All my watches are analog type.
Today, watches dont make sense due to smart phones. But definitely a keeper for men`s fashion.
They are coming back big time.
Geesh, trying to flex on us Antonio
Keep the Tudor. The others are nice enough, but as BB GMT owner, the Tudor gets it every time.
Wooow nice content sir new subscriber from philippines…i wish i could have one atleast a second or the watch that you did not use much 🙏🙏
If I kept the Rolex, I'd be paranoid about someone stealing it, damagining it, etc. I would like to get a Monta since I do live in St. Louis. For me, I am keeping my Citizen watch that my wife gave me for our wedding. You think I am getting rid of that? No *bleep*ing way.
"only 50m water resistance = I can't really take it to the pool"... I wonder what pools you go to 🤣 anyway, a great video
I just got into watch collecting. I've loved watches since I was young but I never had anyone teach me or bring deeper into the world. MaMaCoo brought closer to a community and hobby I always wanted to get into more and that is incredibly meaningful to me !
If you’re worried about getting something wet & then lost in the bathroom, take it off and put it in a pocket before going in.
No smart watch ?

Keep the one most pleasing to the eye. The one you look at to admire then a moment later look again to know the time 😂
Datejust is perfect one watch, you need nothing more.
But becouse I own more than one, I sold mine.🤣
i just know its the GS
No Omega Seamaster? That's a shame 😂
Panerai at all?
I never wear any watch in any water. Never in the Pool, Never in the Shower. Never in the Ocean.
seiko its my favourite, but damn that shi its 7k-8k 💀
40mm to small and good for girls
Rolex all the way
Grand seiko
“Only 50m Water Resistance… I can’t even wear it to the pool.” OMG you (watch) guys it’s 164ft. ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY FOUR feet. You (the human) have to be very well trained and extremely well equipped to survive a water depth of 164 ft. After a career in engineering, I have to ask: do we think that 50m is just meaningless? Why do we think that a watch promised good to 50m can’t tolerate 100x less depth in a swimming pool?
I feel ya. 50m was designed for surface swimming. You don't need 100m for surface swimming.
I thought he owned several other Rolex
Boo boring. I am so over black bays. Oh well. If I had to pick one of my watches to keep (which I would never do) I would probably have to go with the Longine Master Moon Phase. But if I could could pick one I don't have Omega Speed Master Moon Phase
You can buy nice looking watches for less than $10 that look really nice. Only an idiot would pay more; and, if you want it waterproof to any depth you are likely to go unless drowning, add perhaps another $25. Just like De Beers and diamonds, expensive watches are just a marketing con.
I tend to respect the nicer Garmin watches because they look good and are related to fitness and health. Also they can quietly alert you to texts or calls. These fancy plain watches - I guess it is like jewelry?
You do know you can buy both right? I have an Omega Seamaster SMP300m($5900), Tudor Blackbay 58-GMT 39mm($4600), and a Garmin Fenix 6S($800). Luxury watches are LUXURY, they are literally big boys/girls toys nothing more. Of the bunch the Garmin Fenix pound for pound blows any luxury watch out of the water except in water resistance. So yes, the watches are jewelry and an unnecessary luxury.

One is actually more than enough. Clocks are everywhere, they surround us all day long. We don't need watches anymore.
I just grabbed the new "Coke/Dr. Pepper"(fanboys can't make up their mind what to call it) Blackbay GMT 39mm. Versatile.
There's only one way to have one watch: to have one so far.
Would you buy a Russian watch? Taking out the factor that you have sentimental connection with ukraine and the political side of the matter, have you seen watches like Raketa or Imperial Peterhof Factory?
Sorry bro, but all of these are trash
