What do you have under that sweater, my friend?

Hey Antonio! Quick tip as a long time watch enthusiast, always get the watch on the bracelet. It’s way easier to find a leather strap than it is to later find a bracelet that fits your watch. 😉
That is true! Although sometimes, it's the other way around though. Just sometimes. For example, I've fallen in love with the Hamilton Khaki King II with beige dial, you can't find a bracelet with that, but you can find shops that sells the original steel bracelet for the Khaki King series. But it's hard to find it though.
Good tip.
@Ivan ^THIS. Always get the bracelet if possible.
Absolutely 💯
Totally agree..
I don’t comment on UA-cam often, but I love this channel! Was my fragrance collecting hobby that first drawn me to it but I love how you cover multiple categories it’s such a well rounded channel. I also massively enjoy the lifestyle and guidance style videos about manhood, I think your a very positive influence.
I appreciate your comment Robin. Thank you so much!
Can never go wrong with the Explorer. Great pieces man!
I got my Tag Heuer when I graduated, as a graduation present to myself. I just love that watch, it has a deep, unique, personal meaning to me. I went through a very rough patch during my years in college and graduating was one of my most personal achievements and every time I wear that watch or even look at it I’m reminded of how strong and capable I am 😊
Definitely agree on the 5 watch collection. I have 3 watches (one being the BB58 in navy, which I love) and find I wear 2 all the time and the other maybe once a week. I could incorporate another couple watches to rotate, but that would be max. It’s nice to have options for any occasion.
Absolutely love the content Antonio. I also have to admit this is where my fragrance addiction started - and it’s changed my life. Thanks for helping me unlock another chapter of self care and love brother.
I've got four for all occasions and love and wear them all. Yema is special too - just bought a beautiful brown vintage suede strap for it:)
Have fun keeping it at that color😅
The crown is on the left side because of the architecture of the movement cal.11. Its a modular movement where you have an automatic movement with a micro rotor and then a chronograph movement on top. This made the crown end up on the left side. Heuer (became Tag Heuer later) marketed it "as a reminder that you don't have to wind it" which was not true. It is not true it was because its for people that wear the watch on the right hand either or that it was made for Steve McQueen. It was made for trendy people and architects but was later marketed with Steve McQueen and they put a racing strap on it but, as you can see, the watch has no tachymeter scale on it and has nothing to do with racing. I do enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work.
Love some watch content coming back, it's been a while. My main watch is an Orient Defender which is also the first automatic watch I bought. My other daily wear is a Citizen Corso which was a gift I got from a previous employer for working there for 10 years. My other go to watch is a Timex Ironman 30 lap count digital watch which is what I wear at work as a paramedic and when working out. Great watch for both purposes. Love the video.
How many watches does one really need? Here is the equation. 1+w=n. n= total watches. 1 = your first watch. w = what ever your heart desires! Beautiful collection! And it’s beautiful because you enjoy them, each have a story and that creates your connections with your past. Love it!
Antonio, my first nice watch was a Yacht-Master after a software company IPO in 1999 (same year this model was released) and my kids grew up admiring this timepiece. Sort of similar story to your YM. Another, very nice video and a spectacular watch collection. Would love to meet you at one of your events. Cheers!
I've got 8 watches. Six are in my regular rataion and two are just for when I am dressed up. One wih a black band and one with brown depending on the color leather I need. Just like you did with the rolex, I sometimes buy a watch to comemorate large events in my life. New jobs, big accomplishment, and my most special one is the watch I purchased after my son passed. Time is important and that watch reminds me of that.
Amazing watch collection! I've scaled down to a few myself over the years. For the Yema, maybe get a nato with bronze hardware to take it over the top. Also, set your watches to 10 past 10 when photographing/filming. Does wonders for the presentation. Cheers!!
Nice collection! My five most worn watches are the Tudor 58 in blue and the Omega Planet Ocean 2500 series in black. It's 42mm but wears a lot smaller than the size indicates. I have a 2006 16610lv Kermit that I love and I got from my dad when he bought the 116610ln in 2018 but I rarely take it out cause I'm afraid to mess it up. Tool watch I know but still. My dress watch is a Cartier Tank MC and my chronograph is a 39mm IWC Pilot 3706 from the mid 90s. Out of these the BB58 gets the most wrist time. I wear it to the gym, to work, everywhere, it's just the perfect everyday sports watch and has the best 60 click bezel I've ever felt.
Good topic and video. I currently own nine watches. I was curious about which watches I wear most. I had a hunch, but like the engineer that I am I created a spreadsheet to track my daily wear so that I can have data. So far, I have found that I wear six watches 80% of the time and the other three 20% of the time.
The watch i wore the most, until it broke, was a Hamilton khaki field watch. My 2 year old grabbed it, and threw it down the stairs and the dial came loose/spins and it doesnt keep time. I have to get it serviced. The current place holder is now the Seiko 1959 Alpinist.
What a great watch video! I have many watches but wear 4 or five over and over. Thanks for the info on Monta, I’m from St.Louis. Your videos are great and been following you on UA-cam for years, Ron Williams
The Monaco was one of the first Swiss automatic chronographs, and the crown was put on the left to represent that there was finally a chronograph that you didn't have to hand wind every day
On the rare occasion that I wear a watch, I rotate between my Timex Easyreader w Indiglo and NATO strap. Also a Luminox 3500 that was a "shelf model" on sale, I also use a NATO strap with it. My others in my collection remaining are Timex + Seiko models (including my 1st Seiko Automatic purchased in 1986).
As a watch UA-camr and collector myself, I've got to tell you that you have a very nice collection. Seeing some of the watches on this list, like the MTG was a surprise. Loved the video!
You got me into fragrances, but I love your other types of videos, too. Thank you!
Great video. Loved the history and family stories behind some of your watches.
The Monta and Yema watches are new to me, thanks for pointing these out, both lovely pieces! Also, classy but practical collection, congratulations👌🏻
My top 5 favorite brands.
Longines
Frederique Constant
Tudor
Tissot
Jaeger
I own Longines Hydroconquest as my daily beater. My Tudor Royal is a "second" daily wear.
Frederique Constant WorldTimer for business/dress occasions.
My tissots are for casual.
I also have about 8 more in total that i rarely wear.
My first luxury watch was a Tudor. I recognized your bb58 instantly! I have the GMT S&G and I will never let that go
Nice collection.👍
My personal favorite is, and don't laugh, is a GI issue mechanical Hamilton. I wore it in three tours in Vietnam. Wound it every day after breakfast. Was always on my arm, and kept remarkable time. It shows scratches on the crystal and case from the years in the jungle, but I'll never part with it. Had it cleaned twice in the 54 years I've had it.
1💛💛%
Hell yeah
I just increased my watch collection to five. Maybe I should stop right there! :) The first four I wore pretty regularly depending on the occasion. I just got an Omega Seamaster 300m with a blue dial and bezel, and a steel band. I love it! I've been wearing it every day since I got it.
Thanks for sharing! My title is Luxury Timepiece Manager and I need to look put together as part of my job (one reason I love the wisdom you share on this channel).
I also have smaller wrists and I think you'd love the Oris Diver '65 with the black dial and bronze accents and outer bezel. It is hands down my most worn watch. If any of your viewers want that vintage Rolex sub look and feel but down want to spend more than $2500 it's a great option (also available with a green dial). Oris has a rich history of supplying watches for the Allies during the wars.
You are so correct that one will only wear certain watches even when there's a huge collection. Glad you started off the video with this.
It's fascinating to me that, of all your videos I've seen - which objectively address the best way to dress, etc.- that is this watch episode in which sentimentality reveals itself. It's a wonderful aspect of timepieces and I'm so glad you addressed this. It's beyond fashion and it very much is a personal choice which one to wear.
As a TAG Heuer ambassador I would be remiss if I didn't mention what I've always been told about the Monaco. It came out in 1969 and was designed with the gear shift in mind. It doesn't really dig into the hand when shifting. It was being worn by a racecar driver on the set of LeMans. Steve McQeen told the driver he'd like to borrow his for the film and the rest is history. Mine has a cool bracelet and the new Heuer 02 (80 hour power reserve) but it is thick but wearable even for my smaller wrists.
If your viewers want some superb options under $700 they should check out Tissot.
Been around since 1853 and it's so much watch for the money.
I just purchased my first Tudor black bay 41, I thought of purchasing the 58, but I realized I already have 4 divers watch , Breitling Super Ocean 42, and Oris Aquis, Omega Seamaster and Rolex submariner.
I decided to go on a different approach by getting style watches,
Categories:
Pilot watch
Race watch
Dress watch
Feild watch
I would take a 2 on each categorizes
1 cheap watch for traveling, don't want to be a target 😫
2 high-end watch, when I'm in my comfort zone or in familar territories (safe)
I bought a Tudor Black Bay 58 925, the silver model. Very unique look…I absolutely love it. I also frequently wear my Nomos Glashutte Club Campus. It’s an homage to California dials, and it is timeless.
Watches like anything else you collect can be an obsession. I always tell new collector's to take it slow. Most of the fun is in the hunt. Enjoy your collection. BTW you set off my OCD with the Yacht Master bezel being off center.😅
Nice selection of watches. I definetly agree that a smaller collection is preferable. Over time you connect certain pieces with memories which makes them even more special. One question though: Why is the date on the Monta in the middle of changing at 8 o clock? 2:03 It probably needs a service tbh.
Great Video. Thank you for doing this.
I have been a watch "collector" for about a year and I have wanted a Monta Noble for a long time, nice to hear more positive reviews on their brand.
Great 5 watches rotation man! Some of my personal favourites out there. Well done!
My go-to is a Vincero Chronos. I have to get a new battery try for it as I’ve had it long enough to forget how long I’ve had it. Sore is every day for that whole period of time and even after crashing my longboards with it on it has very minimal wear.
Awesome collection sir. Watch collecting and fragrances is what keeps me going.
Hi Antonio
I have a few watches but the one that has seldom left my wrist in the last 40 years is my Heuer 844 dive watch (NATO issue) it’s faded and battered but you can’t buy that kind of history and patina!
Ps love your reverse crown Monaco
Keep up the good work
I'm collecting vintage Russian watches and own about 30 pieces.
Thanks for a nice video. I really like your channel. You have some very positive messages always :-)
Great fallout for Monta. I just bought their new GMT. Its amazing and love the story of the local US based brand. Props to your variety of premium/value/versatility.
Love watches and really enjoyed this episode. It’s so nice that every watch has a story.
I’m slowly working on my watch collection, but at lower price point for now. A nice watch brings me joy.
Awesome collection-many of my favorites!
Thank you! Love my collection too.
I started my watch collection 2 years ago
Many people will agree with me that it's like an addiction i have two original Hmt watches
And one original casio and I'm proud of my collection.
And I'm looking forward to extend my collection
And it's great to know that Antonio Sir is also a watch collector
Peace🏳
I own 36 watches and I also only wear like 5 of them. The jewel of my collection is an Omega Speedmaster, the watch I wear the most is a Yema Pearldiver, I also have a Yema Wristmaster Adventurer blue dial on a leather bracelet that is a bit dressier, I also wear a Vostok Amphibia when I do something a bit more rugged. The other watches, I don’t know what to do with them, I’ll probably give them to friends or sell them eventually. I must admit that I’m pretty excited by the new Tudor Blackbay 54, maybe I’ll buy it in the future, but not before I’ve cleaned my watch collection.
I absolutely love the character on your Explorer. I'm the same in that I probably have 40 watches (about a third are Vintage) and I only wear a handful.
I have one that I wear every Father's Day. It's a cheap pharmacy quartz watch my daughter gifted me when she was 10. She got it for me because she noticed I didn't have a blue dial in my collection.
Likely one of the cheapest among them all...but an absolutely priceless and cherished piece.
I was (years ago) gifted a gmt master 2 A6710R. Years later i really got into watches and began to truly appreciate and ADORE my absolute GEM of a watch. Covid came around, and regretably had to sell the GMT. Im now obsesivelly trying to fill that void of a watch that just...does it for me all round. Got an Aquis, several Seiko, Tissot seastar, couple aliexpress homages. Love them, but it is a fact that even being watch obsessed i knw id be happy w 1 to 3 luxury pieces. Now im realistically hoping for 3 grails, in order of attainability; Tudor Style w fluted bezel, Breitling Heritage 57 (the one w the convex bezel and wierd indices) and finally that bombastically underrated Omega DeVille (gray dial) w the serpentine bracelet. Cool vid btw, always great to see a bunch of awesome watches and ill be coming back to it for pure watch candy. ✊️🤙
I was looking for a dress watch and bought a Nomos Tangente. Since then, I wear this watch for every occasion, as it is also suitable for casual. I ended up with all my other watches except the Nomos and a Casio G-Shock.
My daily wear watch is my Omega Seamaster 300m - bought it when my first son was born and it's still my favourite. Holds a special place in my heart
Nice! I live in St. Louis, but have never heard of Monta watches. My only metal band watch is a Seiko and that was a gift from my wife on our wedding.
Man, I didn't expect the Casio MTG to figure in this list! I have one too and it's awesome!
And also we kind of have similar tastes in perfumes. A nice coincidence there!
Love from Chennai, India. 🙏
Very good, I recognize some I have myself! I have 25 watches and I'm a big rotator! I rarely wear the same watch 2 days in a row. I just love changing out in order to admire them all!
Solid collection there, Brian!
It's the same with me. I don't have 64 watches, but probably 34. Several years ago I sold about a dozen, then, as one would expect with a watch guy, it's started growing again. I'll probably cull some of these this year. BUT, like you, I wear only a few: 1 every night (an "Isobrite" that has tritium tubes) and wear five or six 95% of the rest of the time. So it's interesting to hear your story. Thanks!
I love ur watch collection, I believe I have over 30 so far but nothing like urs also I feel like im getting addicted to Fragrances I spent close to 1000 dollars in the past 2 months But im starting my fragrance journey though.
I started with cheaper ones now have 2 longines and 2 tags, I don't really wear the others much anymore more. Still keeping them though. They still mean something
Each watch has a story behind it. I wouldn't trade my favourite watch for anything else. My favourite happens to be the one with the lowest market value. It's an Omega Seamaster 2541.80.00. It was my grandfather's last gift to me before he died.
That Monta is gorgeous. Also I really don't like metal straps so I love the brown leather strap. Monaco watch is nice too. I wanted a Tudor but couldn't afford it.
Proud to admit I own no watches yet and have already been following this advice for years. Many watches need improvements, and it's up to the public to vote with their hard-earned money when making a purchase.
I treated myself to the Black Bay 58 for my birthday. I absolutely love it.
Not much to say about the Rolexes; you own the only 2 models I would too (and it’s not the Watchmaster… 😂). Apart from them, the Tudor Black Bay is the jackpot hit there. Absolute classic diver. Really intrigued about Monta, I’ll definitely look into them.
I have a handful of decent Swiss watches that I might wear for a formal business meeting, but for everyday wear or outdoor activity it’s a Garmin Solar Fenix-7X 90% of the time. Maybe I’m cheap for not having a Marq. The thing I have learned about fine Swiss watches is don’t buy ones with a non-battery auto-winding mechanism for occasional wear because the date is usually weeks out requiring tedious adjustment.
Hello, I love watches. I even quit my well-paying job to sell watches. The decision was good. I currently have about 12 watches and that seems too much to me, but I don't want to get rid of them. Greetings from Croatia
Someone told me years ago, one can tell what type of gentleman he is by his watch, maybe, I believe if a man has a type of watch _pocket or wrist_ an expensive - $6,000 Rolex or cheap $2 it only tell you he can keep time and turn up in time.
Other may say its the shoes, that is if they are clean - well polished, that he will look after your customers/business/product or you!
Cartier is my favourite brand and own four. My second favourite brand is Omega, and I do own several Tudors
I also own a datejust but have the modern AirKing instead of the Explorer
I'd love to see how you style one of the new Swatch x Omega Moonswatches. I own the Mission to the Moon version and it's quite easy to style with most things, but other versions are a lot more difficult.
Best youtube channel ever! Keep up the great work .
I feel like i needed a video like this .. Thank you Antonio
You're welcome!
I own over 20 watches but I wear my Rolex GMT Master black bezel nearly all the time except for dress occasions when I will wear my Rolex Explorer. Occasionally I will wear a Tag Heuer Link and sometimes a vintage Russian Sturmanskie similar to the one worn by Yuri Gagarin: the first man into space.
Great video Antonio, love the top 5, my favorite is the Datejust, but all of them look outstanding. I think I remember you saying you had a collection of replica Rolex pieces, I have to ask, did you keep them?😊. Love your content and love your great attitude, all the best sir, stay you,be well. ✌️😏
I don't know why I underestimated the watch collection, But the explorer is excellent! But, oh no! It had to take it up a few notches with a beautiful date just and over the top with a yacht-Master.
And, other practical wrist candy, as well. Nice collection!
The best first watches for anyone getting into watches:
- Citizen Nighthawk
- Orient Bambino
- Timex Q
- Seiko Sport
- G shock
- Tissot gentleman or prx
And if you want to step up your watch I would get a:
- NTH sub
- Maen automatic
- sinn watch (any)
- damasko watch (any)
- zodiac dive watch (buy something colorful)
- Hamilton field watch or jazzmaster
And the S tier watch is a:
- rolex sub or explorer
- tudor bb58.
- cartier tank
- omega speedmaster
About to green-light a Sinn 104 I St Sa to lord over the various others. I sort of plan on the Sinn becoming the heavy (but realistically, not getting rid of any that came before 🤷🏼 I'm a realist).
@@hgr.7857 nice iwant one too! Look at the brand wise they got a nice greed dial sub
@@MrLiveWest Sinn is really bringing it design wise: form = function. I was on the official website today admiring the 856, and the 105 also... Low and behold, the 240! 🤤 A retro super compressor style in like a cushion case, but one version has a compass bezel (like the Seiko SARB017 "Alpinist"). In retrospect, maybe I should stay off of the official website... 💸💸💸
Where the hell is Tag? Are you on drugs
I've limited my collection to a handful of must haves. 1. Rolex Explorer I 39mm, Rolex Submariner no date, Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Barakuda, Seiko xks 009. I would really like to pick up a Rolex date just or an Omega NTTD to complete my collection.
For most guys, saving up and buying 3-5 grail pieces makes more sense than filling several watch boxes with g shock after g shock. Cost of ownership is also something to consider because even entry level Swiss manufacturers charge hefty servicing fees and often keep the timepiece for months while they tinker with it. Rolex, Omega, Breitling, Grand Seiko, and G Shock are good brands to look at.
Hay Antonio! I have four Watches that i rotate between, but one that caught my eye is the one on the start of your video's. any info would be appreciated.
My 214270 and BB58 are my favorite watches I’ve ever had. I actually dumped my 114060 sub in favor of the black bay, though I might pick up a 14060 or 5513 sub some day.
Hey Antonio,
How do you keep all of the self-winding watches running when they are stationary?
I love the Black Bay 58. Just so versatile and classy for a diver. If I ever spend the dough on a luxury watch, there's a big chance it's the BB58.
Cartier Santos or a vintage speedy would suit you good! Props on the Seiko and Gshock! Btw that Yacht Master is absolutely gorgeous!
Got about 30 watches, only really wear 5, but i'd sell them all for a modest collection of 5 watches that I love, Rolex Explorer, Omega Speedmaster, Tag Heuer Monaco, Seiko SKX 009, G-Shock 5600.
I love my Tudor, Sinn, Oris, Damasko, Seiko, Longines, Hamilton and Citizen. Tudor Pelagos 42mm, Sinn UTC and Oris Aquis are my most worn.
I love, LOVE the Steinhart line. I have a bunch of watches, but the Steinhart Ocean 39 GMT Special Edition from OLKO is on my wrist about 90% of the time. Check out some Steinharts!
I have a Tudor pelagos, and an explorer one
Love them both great watch collection you have there
Great collection 🙂. No Grand Seiko?
Saving for a Tudor Black Bay 58. So clean. On my wrist right now is my Seiko 5 sport. We have expensive hobbies hahaha
Hey man, can we get a full video on all your watches? Would love to see it
Greetings from Mauritius! I’m very pleased that you went there on vacation! Hope you had a nice time!
Great video!💯
I love my Yachtmaster, too! Great video.
Very nice. This is the closest that I will likely ever come to most of the watches present from your collection but none the less, very impressive.
From casual to dressy, these are the versatile watches that I reach for time and time again
I have a Breitling Superocean 42, and the bezel feel is excellent, but when I purchased the Rolex Submariner, I could feel the difference in mechanical precision!
I have 4/5 of ur collection! Love them
Love that yacht master. My preference would be brown bezel w chocolate dial
Hi Antonio; the tudor watches are awesome including the black bay 58, I
Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date GMT Master II with black face, black porcelain bezel and stainless steel bracelet is a must have imho.
thank you antonio! that Monta watch is gorgeous, sir
7:50 I've been looking through all types of watch videos looking for something I really want and I love this watch... Unfortate that it's a limited edition
Hi Antonio, Are you intend get an Omega watches as part of your collection?
Mr. Scenteno, would you say that the Rolex Datejust 41 suits your lifestyle being a typical analogue watch but also being quite expensive and fragile? Personally I would be scared I would damage it in some way, especially considering the price.
-thank you sir
I completely understand. I didn’t realize until my wife made me count my watch collection the other day that I actually own 72 watches. I rotate between 4 to 6 of my favorites each month. Lol.
Got to love that Explorer; 114270 is my particular cup of Swiss tea.
I have a yachtmaster as well! Fantastic piece!
