Watching this at work... (Emerg dept in the city of Edmonton, Alberta. Canada) and this was playing on the large TV....everyone in the waiting area (40 ++ people) all let out a collective "AAAAAWWWWW!!!!) when you told the story of lending your cowboy hat to a little girl. LOL Everyone loved it. Left this video on loop for an hour :)
OK I am reading this, and my stomach literally dropped. Are you KIDDING ME??? OMG wow!!!! I just read this comment out loud to Dale, and he too said, OHHH My GOD! Thank you, wow, that's an amazing thing right there...
@@paulamckenzie When the day comes and you ask yourself is all the hard work for youtube worth it...please remember you bring much happiness to a lot of people (who really need it)
GREAT VIDEO , Beautiful church where you guys got married, YOU both are such a beautiful couple God bless you both. Ps I got misty when you showed the church where you got married.
Robert J Kral Well Thank you, you’ve been making some lovely comments on our videos. 😊 This particular one was definitely made with love - can’t help it when we are on the grounds of the Little Church, where it all began. ❤️
On my last trip I finally went to the sign and took some pics. It was a busy but everyone patiently waited their turn and the mood in line was +ve. Thank you for the background info! Great to see your wedding place. Although there were only the two of you at your wedding, you'll have 20K plus thinking of you on your 40th anniversary in Aug. 2021. Another great video. Thank you for making them.
Another great video! Thanks on the history of the Las Vegas sign. Who knew!! Very interesting. Also thanks for showing us the lovely spot where you guys got married at. 🤵👰
penny marmar Yep another example of trying to do content about attractions rather than the resorts...and a bit of a personal twist thrown in as well. 🥰
Just watched this video! You two are so very special. I am thankful you guys got married and are such a beautiful example to all of us! Thank you for sharing. CAB :)
Here is an odd fact known by few: Most of the signs in Vegas including this Welcome Sign were done by YESCO Sign, which stands for Young Electric Sign Company. This sign was designed by Betty Willis in 1959 and erected that same year. The sigh has never been copyrighted or Trade Marked, that is why you see it used on everything from playing cards to drink cups. YESCO currently owns the sign and leases it to Clark County, NV.
Hi there Smug, good morning :) Yep, I do mention YESCO in the vlog, and Dale does talk about Ms. Betty and her uncopyrighted design as well. Western Neon actually put the sign up, but you are correct, YESCO does own it and lease it to the county now. Thanks, as always, for watching!
i love your shows i retired in feb. thanks to you both i get to see new places and i love good food thanks so much for what you both do have a great day and hello from ohio
Sorry I missed this comment, Chris - and yes, if you are talking about the Little Church, it is always very serene. Beautiful shady spot, and very special to us. :)
Just wanted to say that it’s the first time I watched this video and the amazing thing is that I told my fiancé I wanted to get married in that church! I believe it’s a sign ! That will definitely be the perfect place! Thank you again for the wonderful video ❤
I hope this made it thru the protests. Keep up the good work . Not much for cooking , but have been looking at some of your old videos. Really enjoy non gaming stuff , we have been to Vegas man times and are really more into non gaming experiences at this point . Always a reason to return to Vegas !!,
Hi there Chris - sorry to be late replying, not sure where this past week went lol. Yep the sign is looking good, we just drove by it on Monday - in fact, the whole Strip is looking good except for a bit of construction and scaffolding. We too are into non-gaming experiences, and we love showing them to you. Hope you do return, soon! :)
j d Great suggestion, we have not been in the Palms since the big remodel. Dale likes to play video keno at our local Stations Casino, and we always joke that we paid for part of that remodel lol - guess we ought to go take a look! 🤣
$25 to get married and you have been together for 38 years. today people spend thousands on weddings and can't even stay together for a third of the time period you 2 have been together. I keep telling people that the biggest scam/waste of money is weddings. I pray to find a woman who doesn't put too much emphasis on material things but one who will live life to the fullest with me like you 2 are doing. I truly admire your union Mr. Mckenzie.
Com in’ up on 40 you two, I got misty too.
Well congratulations - in this crazy world, hanging in with the same partner for 40 years is a feat!! Much love to you both.

any plans on a video of the newly renovated palms?

I got married at the Candlelight Chapel. It used to be across the street from Circus Circus...😀

Hello Dale! My husband and I are moving to Spring Valley in August of this year! My husband and I really are enjoying your videos
Wow, so glad you are liking them! That makes it all worth it, for us. Let us welcome you, and hope you really enjoy living here!
Thank you!
I loved this! Happy anniversary. Next time I visit, I'll take a picture of you two at the chapel! Great video.
Mia Hess We will take you up on that! Our actual anniversary is in August, but we were at the sign yesterday and we just had to stop in. ❤️
