Awesome video! Makes me homesick as I was raised in Cedar City, now living in Atlanta for the past decade. All the views, leaving Las Vegas, the gorge, Cedar Canyon, Cedar Breaks, beauty all around. Thank you!!

Well we do have a blast doing the filming and going out having the adventures - no doubt about it, we love it. Now producing the actual video and looking after this little beast we have created....well I'm not gonna lie, that is WORK. :)
Hello and Greetings from a boy raised in Cedar City!! My parents are living there and have been since 1970. I only go back on occasion. The stories of life and growing from us brothers and sisters (there are a total of six boys and five girls) would take just about as long to tell them as making them did! As a boy catching and selling night crawlers... For up to .35¢ per dozen! Riding bicycles then motorcycles. Learning to drive and mowing lawns for one kind old man for five years at $2.50 a trip. I kept a piece of paper in my wallet counting each time I saw him and I either mowed his lawn, shoveled snow, cleaned up the garden (but never the flowers, they were her's.!) In exchange for the helping hands that I gave him and her, he let me buy the old 1958 Chevy truck that had belonged to his son lost in the Vietnam war. His name was Darwin Nelson and he never let me leave his home without one or two dollars in my pocket. Such a kind and lovely pair they were. My dad began a trucking company in 1976 and it's still doing well today, in Cedar. So many typical yet individual stories just like Mayberry! We got there when I was seven and I'm 57 this year. Just the short drive you took through town took me roasting back in time, past my old elementary, my personal barber shop operated by another man then and a new man now, to the old stage that I enjoyed only a couple of times then and several new places I've seen but not visited. Sentimental tears because mom and dad are in their eighties and I don't want go back but I will because a couple siblings still living in Cedar will need the support of all of us children when they go. Thank you sincerely for giving me a ride home. Good Bless You and may you travel well. With Gratitude, Andrew L. Miller, Sgt (Ret,) USAF
Oh Andrew, this is just beyond lovely - you have tears in MY eyes, after reading this beautiful account of your growing up years, and even more so the nostalgia. But that "giving me a ride home", that did me in totally. It was our most sincere pleasure to do that, believe me. Have a wonderful day. :)
We finally got to go to Cedar Breaks. What a site. It only took two years, but I instantly thought of you two. God bless you both and keep inspiring us.
We love this exact area so much we bought a vacation home near Cedar City last year. We get up here as often as possible and enjoy it so much. Lord willing we plan to retire here one day. Thank you for this video.

I recently fell into poor health and have been in the hospital for two weeks now but watching these videos has kept me busy and kept my spirits up :)
We are so happy you came across our channel, but not the circumstances of it. :( We truly hope your health comes back strong, and you are able to have good things to look forward to - like rescheduling that bachelor party!
That was a very different and entertaining video. The scenery is worth the cost of the trip if nothing else. That was some feast you had at the end of it all; it was the right way to cap off the day. Thanks for another excellent production.
We had a blast - sometimes when you live in a big city of 2 1/2 million people, you just need to run away to a less busy place...with spectacular natural beauty. And yeah - what's a long day on the road if you don't reward yourself with a great burger at the end of it? :)
I stumbled on your channel and what a fantastic video you have given us! This Cedar City Gal Thinks you did an awesome job representing us! Thank You 🍁

Driven thru the Virgin River Gorge and the rock walls are just anazing! Mesquite was always a fun stop on our road trip to Las Vegas. St. George is very pretty too. What a fun video. Looks like your skies have smoke too from those California fires. We have plenty if smoke here in the Four Corners area too. Enjoyed this one Dale n Paula 💫🤗⛰🍃😺🌞🌤🌻☕🌄👍
"ON THE ROAD!" What a nice drive from Canada! .Interstate 15 all the way ! Beautifully filmed ! Bun or bun less burgers !"Our 2 FAVORITE TV PERSONALITIES .!!!! Great Driving Dale !! He can pick us up at the border !! LOL Cheers !Pat and Pam
That is a great trip. Being a truck driver, I get to see a lot of the road but very little off the interstate. It’s nice to see things near Vegas that can be WAY more fun than any of the resorts in town. A few years back I took a road trip out to Page Arizona for my birthday. I used Las Vegas as a starting point. Plenty of stuff to see on 89 and 89A, just don’t do it during a government shutdown AND winter season!
What a fun road trip full of adventure! Absolutely love your narration along with those great visuals. Thank you so much for sharing. Here's to fun and adventure on the road.:)
Another great vídeo!!! So good, music, views, informations!!!! Everything perfect!!!! Once i made a half marathon, runing in this 3 states ( nevada, Arizona and Utah), this vídeo make me remember this race, City called Mesquite!!! So good this vídeo!!! Congratulations You guys are amazing!!! Have a good week
A number of years ago, traveled beyond Cedar Breaks to Panguich. Just happened to catch the height of the Aspen season. Absolutely stunning around every bend in the road. Will never forget it.
I had to wait until evening to watch but OH THAT VIEW!!! What a video ! So worth the wait 💕 The burgers looked delicious...now I’m hungry 😋 Have a great week you two 🥰

Again Dale & Paula, a great video. We have spent time in Mesquite (Casablanca, or if you remember Player's Island), St George and Cedar City. Your video brought back a lot of memories. You will have to do an overnight trip to Zion and Bryce. Can't wait to get back to Nevada. Thank you!!
Thanks for posting. We ate at the Sizzler in Cedar City when we passed through coming from Great Basin National Park. Not too many Sizzlers restaurants anymore!
No kidding, Sizzler is one of those great old brands. We have eaten there many times, as we usually stay at the Best Western right there at that corner.
Hey Dale & Paula 🙋🏻♀️, I know these vlogs are less recent so you may not see this comment, but just wanted to say how much I am enjoying the ‘road trip’ vlogs as well as the more stripcentric ones. This scenery is another of the reasons I love Vegas. All the glitz and glamour of the strip but with the desert and canyons and amazing scenery literally out the back door! Your vlogs are all so professional, documentary standard but with friends taking you along. Thank you. ❤️
What a great thing to say - thank you so much! We too love living here not so much for the Strip, but simply being in the southwestern US. Fantastic place to call home, and since we started making videos and looking at it through a camera lens, we just appreciate it all the more. And FYI, UA-cam notifies us of comments in the order they come in, so even if someone comments on an older video, we do see those. :)
Great intro number!! Utah is truly a pretty state with some of the most beautiful, stunning parks in the country. Cedar City is charming, but maybe a bit too small, at least after a few months. Your trip was just a day's outing in time, but light years away from Las Vegas. Thanks so much for taking us along on your day trip!!
This is just a fraction of the views Utah has to offer. You have this stuff in the south west, made in the south east, the high Uintah in the north east and the Salt flats and desert in the north west.
Dale and Paula, we loved your day trip. What beautiful scenery so close to the strip. We love when you show day trips off of the strip. So much to do besides the casinos.....and Red Rock ;) THANK YOU BOTH for ALL the hard work you put into these vlogs :)
What an adorable little town. The views from the park were just breathtaking. I’m sure the video doesn’t come close to in person. When I lived in Caldwell Idaho, herds of sheep coming through town was a norm. The Basque farmers would move them from the mountains to the valley before the snow would fly. Great vlog as usual.
I love this - we have been to Idaho once, and absolutely loved it. Would love to go on a driving wander, and see some of the sheep coming thru town. :)
Another awesome vlog! I just gotta say, I'm binge watching your vlogs and just in time for planning my family vacation to Vegas from Idaho. I love you guys!!
I was born and raised in Cedar City. Love seen this video. I've since moved elsewhere but my heart is always there in southern Utah. If you haven't been there yet I suggest going around Easter time to the Anasazi free Trappers Mountain Man Rendezvous near veyo Utah. It's a fun little area with veyo pool close by, Pine Valley Mountain, irontown with its old Coque Ovens, Mountain Meadow Massacre site, Enterprise, and the back way into Cedar City.
Excellent video. I spent the night in Cedar City, really liked it. I stayed in a regular "motel" somewhere on the main road. They had their own restaurant/cafe. I had breakfast there. I asked the guy whom I think was the owner if he had any special sausage or bacon. He did. Custom made sausage just for his place. So I had it. And it was some of the best breakfast sausage I've ever had. I need to go back and see if that place is still there. Love that area of the state.
What a lovely story, thank you for sharing! We always stay at the Best Western Town & Country on the main street, but we know there are cool kitschy motels all up and down that stretch, charming too. Custom made sausage - yum!!
He WAS nervous - we have a hilarious clip from the drive, where we were up there at the summit, with him voicing his concerns...! Maybe it'll make it into the outtakes video at the end of the year...
Paula McKenzie Zion and Bryce Canyon to the east and north. The grand staircase, Grand Canyon to the south and the pine valley nation park to the west. Cliffs of insanity on every side. Wild wheat as high as a elephant’s eye. Hours that I own.
Great intro Dale. Great vlog you guys always such an enjoyment to watch your adventures. You guys have a great day.( great music playing Dale) your really good
I just returned from LV, sorry I didn't get to see you or any of my favorite vloggers. Was in Utah 45 years ago, and am glad to see there are still many spots of wide-open spaces & untouched landscapes! I really enjoy your staycation vlogs, but your road trips are a close second! Thanks for the great entertainment!!
Loved that intro! The Virgin River is certainly beautiful! Wow! I definitely have to make this trip - Cedar Breaks looks amazing! And the stars! Wonderful video as always!
Yes, you will love southern Utah, if you haven't been there in your travels before. Stunning roads, stunning scenery. And...glad you liked the little song. :)
@@paulamckenzie - Hey, I just uploaded a video of Part - 2 of my trip to Pioche, and after I do my night time walk of Boot Hill Cemetery, I drive to the Million Dollar Courthouse. I Give you guys a shout out for your wonderful video of Pioche. You probably don't need it from me, but i respect you all so much, I had to give you props! Its about 12 and a half minutes into the video.
I remember like 15 years ago me and my family went on a vegas trip and decided to drive up to Bryce Canyon from there.. That "Virgin River Gorge" I distinctly remember.. It was that section you crossed into Arizona for a short period before reaching Utah. Good memories. Nice to learn that stretch actually has a name for itself.
What can I say, Another Great Vlog, Utah is really Beautiful never knew anything about Utah Thank you for taking us along, Have A Blessed day and Stay Safe.
I loved this video so much! From the breathtaking views to the interesting facts about each stop, and especially Dale’s songs! Loved all of it. What a long day trip though, I know that elevation made it difficult at times and we appreciate so much that you took us along. Beautiful video!!!!!
Hi. I’m just curious if you all have ever considered doing a road trip adventure up to Bozeman, MT? My sister shared this video to our family chat , she lives in Cedar City. I live in Bozeman and would love to see you guys do a vlog on a road adventure up to beautiful big sky country!! You’ll love it, I promise
Well...there is a LONG story around that topic! My lifelong dream has been to travel through Montana and Wyoming, a long leisurely road trip. I have never gotten to either one, but hope springs eternal! If I can get that cowboy husband of mine to saddle up and head north, we will bring the cameras and visit Bozeman!! Cross your fingers...problem is, I think I would never want to leave. :)
I think that would be great if you guys do end up doing that. You have a place to stay if you do🤓 Also, if you go through Laramie, WY, I can probably figure out a way that you could stay with my best friend there (or possibly pay a small vrbo payment to them🤷🏼♀️) Let me know👌🏼
A vlog with "altitude." Who knew these beautiful places were drivable from Vegas. Knew you weren't eating on the Strip without being told when I saw the size of that side salad!
Awesome video! Makes me homesick as I was raised in Cedar City, now living in Atlanta for the past decade. All the views, leaving Las Vegas, the gorge, Cedar Canyon, Cedar Breaks, beauty all around. Thank you!!
Oh, I love this comment - so glad we could take you on a little trip "back home". :)

Oh lucky guy! You are someone I admire: You decide to make a change in your life, you follow thru, and you are happy!!
I live in Cedar City! It truly is so beautiful. Wonderful town and wonderful people
It totally is - a wonderful antidote to the busy-ness of Las Vegas. Thank you for watching :)
Does anyone know if there is high speed internet? Cable or fiber🤔
We love living here in Cedar City. Our backyard is so much fun to play in.

What a lovely story, thank you for sharing! We always stay at the Best Western Town & Country on the main street, but we know there are cool kitschy motels all up and down that stretch, charming too. Custom made sausage - yum!!
Such a great adventure! I would have been nervous driving on those winding roads! Those burgers looked yummy! Thank you for sharing!
He WAS nervous - we have a hilarious clip from the drive, where we were up there at the summit, with him voicing his concerns...! Maybe it'll make it into the outtakes video at the end of the year...
Born and raised in cedar. Thanks for the visit. 100 head and few square miles. Top of smiths masa
What a great place to call home!
Paula McKenzie Zion and Bryce Canyon to the east and north. The grand staircase, Grand Canyon to the south and the pine valley nation park to the west.
Cliffs of insanity on every side.
Wild wheat as high as a elephant’s eye.
Hours that I own.
@@jaymeswheeler I'd love to move in down the road...

I just returned from LV, sorry I didn't get to see you or any of my favorite vloggers. Was in Utah 45 years ago, and am glad to see there are still many spots of wide-open spaces & untouched landscapes! I really enjoy your staycation vlogs, but your road trips are a close second! @@paulamckenzie- Tina and I have been to Zion, but not up to Cedar City. I've been planning a trip to Panguitch to check things out there.
The Frontiersman Travel Adventures I hope you have a wonderful adventure 😊
@@paulamckenzie - Hey, I just uploaded a video of Part - 2 of my trip to Pioche, and after I do my night time walk of Boot Hill Cemetery, I drive to the Million Dollar Courthouse. I Give you guys a shout out for your wonderful video of Pioche. You probably don't need it from me, but i respect you all so much, I had to give you props! Its about 12 and a half minutes into the video.
The Frontiersman Travel Adventures Well thank you Walt!! We will definitely watch! 😊
The views of the Strip are nice but those views are totally awesome !!!
We have to agree - no contest!
Lovely that our video brought back memories for you - thanks for watching.
Once again..great vlog guys!! Dale I love how you switched it up a bit at the beginning! Have a great week you 2😎😍
Yep I had to convince him to put that snippet of the song in there, but it was a perfect fit, and worked out great. :)
You guys make such videos I truely love your videos !!!

We have planned to go all the way over to the 4 corners a few times, but something always changed our plans. One of these days!
Getting some great ideas of places to visit when we retire this year! Keep the vlogs coming!

Thanks for tagging along on the trip, Joy!
I loved this video so much! From the breathtaking views to the interesting facts about each stop, and especially Dale’s songs! Loved all of it. What a long day trip though, I know that elevation made it difficult at times and we appreciate so much that you took us along. Beautiful video!!!!!
Thank you Diane, lovely comment. We loved filming this one, and putting it together. :)
Wow! What a beautifull trip you guys made. 😍 We really enjoyed this video. Warm greetings from the Netherlands, Dies and Vanessa.
Thank you for watching us, way over in the Netherlands! :)
Beautiful scenery! Thanks for taking us along!
You have a place to stay if you do🤓
Also, if you go through Laramie, WY, I can probably figure out a way that you could stay with my best friend there (or possibly pay a small vrbo payment to them🤷🏼♀️)
Let me know👌🏼
@@1sovereignmercy Lovely offer, thank you so much 😊
That's one beautiful drive.
A vlog with "altitude." Who knew these beautiful places were drivable from Vegas. Knew you weren't eating on the Strip without being told when I saw the size of that side salad!
We LOVE altitude, because that is the only option available to escape temperatures that have been above 100 for months and months and months...
we are traveling to Zion Friday for a long weekend, staying at Ponderosa Ranch and we might have to drive up to Cedar City! Thanks for the great video
You're most welcome - hope it gave you some inspiration :)
