Crim honestly played that really well. I know he's a dimir control player at heart but CEDH is it's own animal when it comes to that style of play

I appreciate the compliment! I don't often get to jam CEDH so it feels good to try to navigate through the format.
@@Dracomandriuthus It's the two best colours in cEDH that also has the best win con in the format. I agree it's really hard to play Dimir Control in Casual and not get stomped, but in cEDH you can just play all of the best cards while never having to worry about mana fixing because you're in two colours. Dimir in cEDH is like playing Simic in Casual imho, you technically have restrictions but you're combining great ramp with excellent card draw and interaction, so both tend to be really good in their tier.
Also, Crim is very public about not being a sweaty Commander player, that's why he plays tons of cards that attract attention, the thing is in this cEDH game nobody could build up aggro to eliminate him early, and his life gain just took over. I also think he played his cards quite well, their is no question IMHO that Blue Control is about the hardest thing to play correctly (it took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out why my counters seemed to always be bad cards, but my opponent's would often steal games), so kudos to Crim for a good game!
Final point, if people are priority bullying you you don't have to play stuff and they're using up their resources. If it happens once in awhile okay, but if it happens every game I'm just going to let the pod die until it stops. Priority bullying is like king making in cEDH, it's bad sportsmanship even if it's very hard to police (I think in strict play it's grounds for a 'slow play' call if you're abusing it).

I once lost 100 life by casting a non creature spell due to a creature my opponent copied 50 times that makes opponents loose 2 life if they cast a non creature spell.... it was just hilarious tbh 😂

Serge playing cEDH is the best timeline
It means a lot to me that you post what card is being played in the center of the screen. As product has ramped up I've struggled to keep up and when people just name cards I don't always know what they do.
Feels like Krim is the only one in the table doing any serious piloting. Not firing off on that Force of Will when he had the read that Serge was going to participate on the stack was pretty slick. The playpatterns in this game were otherwise pretty loose.
Crim was enjoyable to watch, must be a funny guy to play with! Great game guys
I like how everyone was utterly destroyed by turn 4.
Everyone but Talion, lol. He was still sitting pretty with a mitt full of cards and no major threats.

Honestly @ 31:00 Crim holding on to the force was wild. If he was seeing if Serge had a response or seeing if he could counter scourge after the second cast, idk. Either way a wild play. He played well, for sure.

What an awesome game. Love to see a high powered game like this that goes the distance.
Great watch once again! Got to know about your channel a few months back and it quickly became one of my favorite for commander game replays.
If anything, consider making the card overlays a bigger, even at max resolution on a recent phone it's hard to read without zooming in.
Also do keep the card on screen for at least a couple of seconds, sometimes there is barely even enough time to pause the video before the card goes away.
Overall I find your editing style very enjoyable, clear and consise.
Non game-related interractions between players are just the right amount.

To all those mentioning the Touch of the Spirit Realm; While you are right, Aaron could switch it with Boseiju, Who Endures and achieve the same thing (actually for {1} less).
Honest question, is crim supposed to draw 4 when he activates faerie mastermind?
It says whenever an opponent and he has 3 opponents.
It only triggers when an opponent draws their second card of the turn, so it's typically only triggering for the one active opponent. If he activated it a second time though, it would trigger off the other two for sure.
Fun fact - Crim actually could have been drawing cards from Faerie Mastermind at the end there, so the combo was actually positive life for Crim in addition to kill Alex.
Faerie Mastermind only draws on the second time an opponent draws a card, so it'd only give Crim one draw from the Glinthorn trigger, not a draw each time

Can someone explain the LED note? So you can't announce/cast a spell, then sacrifice LED to get mana to cast it? What's the difference between casting a spell first before floating the mana/paying the mana for it?
Normally there's no functional difference, but LED's oracle text specifies that it can only be activated at instant speed, which prevents you from activating it while you are casting a spell.

Jeskas allows you to play, not specifying how exactly you cast, and so you would be allowed to use an alternate cost if the card or some other effect allowed you to e.g. you can evoke fury out of jeska's will

LED specifically says Activate only as an instant. This means that it cannot be activated in the process of casting a spell/paying a cost compared to other mana abilities like the chromatic star Andrea used to filter for blue. The chromatic star play works because in the process of casting a spell determining the cost occurs before having to pay the cost.

I don't understand why Aaron couldn't win on the Food Chain turn. Eternal Scourge + Food Chain yields "enough" mana. Couldn't that be used to sacrifice and cast Atraxa "enough" times to find Thassa's Oracle+consult/pact or other win condition?

Lion's eye diamond can't cast cards from your hand.
You use Lion's Eye Diamond in response to the Tutor that gets you the card you want to cast with the Diamond. Serge merely forgot to explain this basic LED pattern.

kediss ability deals the damage, therefore it is not a pirate, and therefore Malcon's ability would not trigger to make 3 treasures
Kediss' ability causes Malcolm to deal damage
“Whenever a commander you control deals combat damage to an opponent, it deals that much damage to each other opponent.”
Kediss causes the damaging Commander to deal the damage, so it all works out
So he forgot his Talion trigger for the Naktamun ehh.
