I live 30 mins from Savannah and love their praline and you have DEFINITELY hit it right on the head with this recipe! Will be adding this to my recipe book that I plan to pass to my daughters when they get older ❤️
It can only be prevented. You have to scrape down the sides of the pan very well while cooking. I have also seen it suggested to brush the sides with hot water to dissolve sugar crystals. It’s a chemical thing I don’t fully understand myself.
To you, sure, Boudreaux. Not everyone talks like you. It would sound pretty freaking weird if we all made sure to try and sound like a native of every place we mention in conversation, and with her accent she’d sound pretentious if she said it your way. Quit gatekeeping.
@@BeeWhistler were you really anxious to use the phrase "gatekeeping?" Also, who is Boudreaux? I shutter to think the "gatekeeping" guy is using a racial slur at me.
I’ve been making these for years and just could not master that last bit. This is very helpful. I’m taking some to a church event tomorrow because I now live in Texas and apparently they think pralines are chewy or they buy the ones at Buc-ees and they need to find out what real pralines are.
No, it’s pecans, like you say it, and praw-keens, not pray-keens. At least that’s how they say it in Louisiana, where they come from. And in Tennessee, where I come from. They say praylines in Texas.
Air head #2: 🎳bowling is done with a “ bowling ball, at the bowling alley”, “b-o-i-l-i-n-g” is as in Boiling, as you said “Air-head” put the vanilla in, except you said Bowling‼️🙄
Thanks for your video, I'm going to make this recipe tomorrow. Have a wonderful bless day

Thanks for sharing the chocolate version of these delicious pralines!
Thank you for this recipe looks good 👍
Aww you're so sweet. Well made video on making this. I make praline pecans but I'll try this recipe. And def will visit Savannah. 🫶🏾
Yummy. It’s funny you said walnuts because that’s all I had to make these! 🤣 they turned out delicious 😋
I went to Savanah last year and had these Pray-leens. Can't wait to try this!!!
Hi can you substitute the evaporates milk or half and half with heavy whipping cream?
I’m going to make them, just have to get the evaporated milk! They look perfect.
These are extremely popular in New Orleans you can find them at every corner store and on bourbon street
Such a fun city!
The American praline originated in Louisiana
Hi there, could you put the mixture into a baking tray and cut into squares once set? Would this affect the sandy texture?
I have tried to make these things three times and they always fail. I guess I will try your technique and see if it works.
Thanx for the recipe. What is half half? I am in South Africa, we don't get that here. Is it half milk and half cream? But I can use Ideal nilk
Yep, it's half milk and half cream.
@@HouseofNashEats thank u 😉
How can I make my pralines firmer?
Oh darn, typos I can’t fix on my phone. Sorry.
I followed your recipe as best I could, but the candy never hardened. What did I do wrong? Thanks for your help..
Usually that happens when they didn’t reach a high enough temperature.
Me neither mine tasted surgery ot just wouldn't set I had to put them in the fridge amd they still had a slight gritty sugar taste to them
Where's the promised link with the recipe?
It’s a link on here doesn’t give amounts to use of the ingredients on the recipe.
If my pralines come out gritty, can this be fixed?
Do you mean gritty in the sugar not dissolved?

Prah-leens
I made the exact recipe yesterday and left it overnight, but it wasn't like you, it was too soft also after 12 hrs .. what is my mistake?
They probably never reached the right temperature. Could be a faulty thermometer?

Why don't you just call them pecan candy, that's what you're making.🙄😵💫🤓😏😅
again? Air head? You put the vanilla in during the bowling.😮🙄🤐
Hmmm…I guess airheads would do that during bowling! Yeah…..bowling with no ball?
Air head #2: 🎳bowling is done with a
“ bowling ball, at the

“b-o-i-l-i-n-g” is as in
Boiling, as you said
“Air-head” put the vanilla in, except you said Bowling‼️🙄
sorry the use of Table spoon of butter has made me turn to another receipe.
sorry , it must be a southern American thing, the next one also used Table spoons of butter!
I use a whole stick of butter. maybe she meant that, she did use 6 TBS.'s..
Air head if you look at all the other videos. They don't need that To take the temperature.🙄
