The maturity at such a young age! Many talented pianists can technically play the notes at a young age, but not many can musically communicate something so meaningful and deep at 14!! This is why Kissin is one of the world’s best. Bravo👏👏👏

Absolutely extraordinary. Not just mastering the technical difficulties but such musical understanding, passion and authenticity at an age of 14. Truly a genius at work.

@@chlidera75 your comment makes no sense, why can't both be geniuses? By your logic, the composer ain't a genius.
It's the guy who invented the piano, without whom the piano piece wouldnt exist :P

...Yes, truly, this remakable boy displays an extraordinary depth and bredth of emotional resources such as few adult virtuosos can match. Truly a young genius.

To be honest, I actually think this interpretation is better than the one he did later on. Somehow, the climax of the piece is more hysterical, more lunatic and violent, yet still bringing out the lower voice melody as the star, than his later interpretations. The very few slip-up’s don’t take anything away from this performance.

The rare case of a ‘child prodigy’ showing interpretive ability as well as technical skill

A real child prodigy is just like an adult prodigy! Liszt at 12 was already reputed to be the best player in the world, together with Hummel!

Can you see his passio? I understand how you feel but it's a long time that i don't feel the same cause his passion makes me love music, try to feel the sama as him and practice more. It's not a race, just how you love what you play.
